We have played this several times with our grandchildren, age ranges 7 to 15.
They all love it and enjoy the fun of a career or college path. They love it when they get to fill their vehicle with babies.!
If the above makes little sense, then you need to buy the game for hours of fun and delight.
It really is that good.!
Very much recommended.
Bought as a gift for my daughter (8), we enjoy playing this game as a family, even my son (5) can play with very little help (just someone to read some of the action cards).
This is a great fun game for the whole family, with kids and adults from 9 years old playing it regularly.
Feels a bit American at times, but doesn’t bother the children.
Good fun for all
This game is so fun to play with friends and the arguments that come out are so funny. Definitely would recommend the amount of meme we made of eachother was good. Also it’s very cheap and the pieces are good quality.
My kids who are 3 and 7 enjoy this game and it’s simple enough for them to play without supervision. I would say it’s pretty boring for any kids older than 9/10 though but great for the younger ones.
I ordered few games in advance for Xmas. Delivered well, discrete and safe in Amazon box. Game is fun. Looks intact; haven’t opened it yet as it goes under the Christmas tree.
We enjoyed playing this game. Quite a lot to remember but you can remember if you play often enough. Can play a few different routes but if you always choose same route can be a bit samey.
This is a great game. Easy to set up and use. Have been playing it with my 6 and 10 year olds. They love it. It doesn’t last too long so you can easily finish playing it in one sitting. A definitely for family game times and worth the money.
The Game of Life is a classic game. It’s easy to learn, great for kids and adults alike, and is good fun. My only negative would be the quality, which seems to have gone down in these later editions, despite the price going up.
Most people know the Game Of Life and this version is much the same. I would stick to the recommended ages 8 and up as can be a little confusing at first for the little ones but after a few games they will get the hang of it.
My daughter (8 years old) enjoys it and it finds its way out of the cupboard regularly.
Bought this for our granddaughter.
We set it up and the family played it together. Was really good, instructions were clear, we discussed the decisions you had to make, older child could read the cards. We had lots of fun!!
I won’t lie. I dread the box coming out. It’s such a cliche game, but that’s the charm for kids.Get married? Have lots of kids? buy a house? pet and retire. It’s quick and it’s the first game my lil one is ok losing in because he shrugs his shoulders and says ‘That’s life’. So 5 stars for entertaining the child and also being short enough, the end is in sight. Was on bed rest and begged my lil one to watch tv so I could sleep. Nope, no tvthe box was placed in my bed and that was it. An afternoon of Life being life ensued. No rest . It’s his favourite board game at the moment.
We’re a family of 4 and have had lots of fun playing this over the past couple of weeks. Our youngest is 4 and even he is able to play and enjoy the game. It’s a bit pricey (we paid 17) but should last for ages.
Very good game, not the same as the original. In the original you used to spin for your wedding gift, spin for how many kids you’ll have and spin for graduation. This one however you just stop and pay 50k for each life encounter. In this one you also have friends and pets which are just normal pegs but at the end of the game each person in your car is worth 50k. It’s very fun and easy to play, also quick too unlike monopoly.
I never played this as a child but my daughter kept nagging me to get it. Price was better than high street inc delivery. Easy to play with a few set up rules. Four of us playing takes maybe 30-45 mins for a game. My daughter won the first three games so she’s happy!
Pieces are small so to travel with them – some would get lost.
Also says 2 to 8 players – but it is really only fun with 2 to 4 players, any more and you have to pay in pairs – which isn’t so good. OR/ We tried to play with 6 by using our own 2 extra made up pieces to move around the board – but there aren’t enough investment cards or money really to play more than 4.
Overall though, really fun and a lot quicker than Monopoly.
I thought I’d come here to correct some of the other peculiar reviews. I was sceptical of ordering this, based on some of the previous negative reviews, but they couldn’t have been more wrong. This is a fun varied board game for grown ups and children to play. My husband and I had good fun learning how to play and we look forward to our son joining us, when he is older. Highly recommend!
This is an easy game for kids to play. It’s a little different to the version I played as a child, but still has many recognisable elements. The spinny wheel doesn’t seem quite as sturdy as my original game, & sometimes there are disputes about which number it’s landed on. The pegs remain as fiddly as ever! But it doesn’t take too long to play & my son likes that it’s luck-based so he has more of a chance of winning than some of our other board games.
