I bought this a while a go and use it all the time. It’s easily the best one I’ve owned, the measurements are easy to read in white on a black background and also printed on the reverse. It has a release button to go with the auto hold on extend which makes life easier for me. I have also dropped it on concrete a couple of times by accident but since it has a rubber sleeve around it it is well protected!
I actually bought this to break apart for a project, but it’s so nice I’ve kept this one and I’m going to break one of my old ones. It has markings on both sides of the tape, which is super handy. It stays straight when extended for a good length. The self locking function is something I’ve only really seen on more expensive tape measures. Finally, the nylon coated tape makes the edges less sharp and so you don’t feel at risk of slicing into your thumb whenever you retract it! All in all a great tape measure at the price point!

Over the years I picked up 5 tapes all of them wearing out on the edges and the background was yellow. This new one is black background and so much easier to read very pleased with my purchase
Nice tape, sturdy but light and really easy to see numbers.
Only thing I can’t get used to is that unlike other tapes that you have to push mechanism to lock tape in place the way this works is that it is locked in place till you push the button to release it back in again. Not a bad thing, it will just take time getting used to it.
I have a collection of slightly rubbish tape measures – this one breaks the trend. Nice smooth action, easy hold, does not snap back and guillotine off unsuspecting fingers. Good value tool.
Been using for about a month now and had no issues, seems really well made and it’s easy to read and use, the auto-lock works well, can’t find fault with it, would highly recommend.
I didn’t realise I could get so enamoured of a tape measure. It is by some distance better than any of the tape measures I have used previously. I have been going round the house looking for things to measure. Even the sounds it makes are epic. You will not regret this purchase.
Use this tape measure every day at work & it does the job. The tape stays strong over a good amount of distance, its small and compact which is also good. The one down side is the button to retract the tape can stick a little sometimes.
