She has a really unique and nice sounding voice. She has had some really good songs over the years but overall I never really been a big fan of her style of music for the most part. This album however I feel like she really nailed it in both style and vocals and really hope to hear more like this in the future.
I like every track on the album, even the the bonus tracks. Sometimes the bonus tracks are nothing really special or sometimes just feel disconnected from the rest of the album. That isn’t the case here as all four are really good and fit right in. So course I highly recommend buying the deluxe edition over the standard.
Standout tracks for me are Midnight Dreams and Cure for Love. Easy Lover is another really good one as well.
I’m a big Ellie Goulding fan and this CD is so amazing! The package came a day early and in good condition. I will be enjoying this CD on repeat for a very long time.
he CD is fine I bought this after seeing her live in Kew Gardens and before this I didn’t know who she was!
I checked some of her work and to be honest I didn’t know she had so many releases anyhow but I had to buy this…..the music has an 80’s feel and warm synths so I bought the standard slip sleeve version (no deluxe bonus tracks)
however be warned I ordered 2 copies both came with the tab sealed but already cut open and both CDs were marked because of it I contacted amazon for a replacement the said they didn’t offer this as it was from “a seller” well it wasn’t it was direct from Amazon
and I will have to re order them (although I certainly won’t be messing around like this)
amazon should check items the sell rather than allowing staff to just open them with knives or what ever they decide to check with to see if the disc was in with I presume.
that shouldn’t have been necesssary they should come sealed from the supplier so annoying I see the happen many times before just opening stock to see if the original item is included pointless.
if I wanted a second hand CD I would have bought have bought one I purchased 2 new sealed copies I received 2 opened scuffed copies.
anyhow the music is great apart from this just be warned.
Gran lbum. Se escucha genial la voz de Ellie en Vinilo (bastante diferente). Lo positivo es que todo es reciclado.
Lo nico negativo es que el vinilo es de 140g.
Hit: Love Goes On.
Another good CD from Ellie,, I now have all her CD Albums, and enjoy listening to all of them, would recommend.
Received my signed copy and the signature is amazing, on the digipack as advertised. Totally recommend this item! It’s a great record after “Brightest Blue” and with a great pop/dance vibe.
Arrived quickly, but was packed in a huge box !! Was expecting the CDs to be posted through my letter box. CDs are as described and are just what I wanted.

Like a Saviour”, “Easy Lover” feat. Big Sean”, “Let it die”, “Waiting for it” & “How Long”.
This is Ellie’s best album to date. Full of great tunes from start to finish. There are ballads and some faster songs. Favourite tracks are let it die, temptation and tastes like you.
Been following Ellie’s career since the beginning, when she won this award in her native UK, the Critics Choice Award at the Brits, which created a big buzz that crossed the Atlantic to the US… the prior year, that award went to someone named…Adele…also, her manager is one Jaime Lillywhite, the son of an all-time fave, the late Kirsty MacColl, so I feel Kirsty passed her torch onto Ellie…
Anyhoo, over the course of 5 albums, EG has been streamlining & refining her sound like carving a diamond, her voice getting smoother & more tuneful, her songwriting starting out like a popper Kate Bush, odd and off kilter but with a killer pop instinct itching to get out…on this Higher than Heaven, she achieved this…like Dua Lipa and now Ava Max, this new album is filled top to bottom with catchy tight dance pop jewels, 17 tracks all good potential singles, not one dull moment, each one sounding unique, I was like wow!! Plus the artwork is nice, almost Bjork-ish…with this record, EG achieved her apex!!
Really good album yet again . Fabulous voice . What I like – no swearing as some singers continue to do !!! It does spoil some great artists .
But this this album is great listening . A good buy .
This is a really good album, the cover has an excellent clear signature but it is just under 37 minutes long which for a modern album is poor value. Surely the CD could have been filled with Bonus tracks or something? A CD can hold up to 70 minutes so this is disappointing.
This album is 90% dance tracks, some of which are quite catchy. This album is probably more similar to Delirium than Bright Lights. Brightest Blue was exceptionally dull and mostly ballads. This album is a welcome return to a more upbeat sound. I would say this album is more for die-hard Goulding fans, as it isn’t a stand-out piece like Bright Lights and Halcyon Days
The last and fourth album ‘Brightest Blue’ offered up better production, more choral, piano, ballads, strings, maturity, and giving that previous album a depth, feel and comforting nuance that makes it easier to disassociate with previous works. This fifth offering showcases Goulding’s early strong song-writing skills as well overall having a flair for fun as this volume of work feels less personal and more about creative outbursts. Starting off with “Miracle” that is a euphoric-daze pop track that welcomes another collaboration with Calvin Harris and does surprisingly pay off better than previous joint ventures. “Easy Lover” feels like an ode to album number two and a harking back to the beauty of ‘Halcyon/Halcyon Days’ era — reminiscent of mostly ‘Anything Can Happen’. “Let It Die” also carries the hallmarks of her disco-era vibes and sits firmly in the album. Goulding seems to have decided enough for now of moving or pushing the sound but rather looking back and what her career started off as in terms of the ’80s pop/disco bangers like “Lights” and the lyrical groundwork that made it such an earworm. With that in mind tracks like “By The End Of The Night” have built it. The sporadic mixing of electronica and powerhouse choral effects from ‘Halcyon/Halcyon Days’ and tracks like “Only You”, “Goodness Gracious” and “Explosions” show themselves in songs like “Like A Saviour”, “Cure for Love” and parts of “Midnight Dreams”. “Love Goes On” is very anthemic and a catchy earworm — it has the hallmarks of the ‘Delirium’ era, but also the latter ‘Brightest Blue’ — its repetitive chorus focusing on a dance-vibe style. This is more a refresh and call-back to classics and it doesn’t need to be an over-the-top personal triumph of self-discovery or new-self-discovery if it can be a triumph of arrangement, lyrics and production. It’s a welcome album for the summer.
