Bought for nieces and played 2 groups boys against girls. Did 3 rounds and they quickly lost interest. The questions were good though and amused the adults too.

My 9yo son got this for Christmas and we have played it loads, lots of fun and educational at the same time.

Bought this for my daughter who loves the horrible history stuff from the TV program to all the books. This game was perfect for her, we played it as a family and had lots of fun learning all the disgusting things about history.

We play it over weekends and my girls love it, even though they aren’t big fans of history. It might be because- even though I am a histry master- I lose a lot (dices don’t like me)

We as a family love watching the program so is good to have a game to see how much the kids take in. It’s actually quite competitive.

I am 76, my grandchildren are 6 and 8 and we all enjoyed the game. The youngest almost won, perhaps he is really good at history or just lucky. Everyone learnt something and had some fu

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this for my 8 year old son as a Christmas gift.

Our family all enjoy the game, it’s fun, the questions are suitable for all ages (my son is a history buff and loves the HH program on CBBC) and the board is very well made.

I really dislike the question booklets though. They’re such a faff! Would it have been so hard to have included the questions on cards? I don’t believe so

Great game: Instructions are nice and simple and the game itself is not overly complicated. Full of fun facts. All my family enjoy this one, even the adults. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe really enjoy this game. I love it for finding out remarkable random historical facts. 4 time periods covered. Probably too tricky for the younger children but its multiple choice so they can always have a guess!

It is a gun game which the whole family enjoy getting involved with. Enough variety of questions to keep the game interesting. Not to long or short to play. Perfect for a family games nigh

Tried this in a pub once when waiting for our meal and decided it was worth buying.
Nice way to get my son interested in some history

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought for Christmas. Really easy to set up and play, with rules that most kids over about 8 will easily get to grips with. Only problem, once we played it a few times some of the questions came up again so the player knew the answer. Now we have tried to prolong the lifespan of the game by not revealing the right answer if they get it wrong. Good value for the money though.

My nearly 6 year old loves it, we only use the multiple choice questions so far as the other act-it-out questions are too hard for her right now. But it means this will have longevity. Her 8 year old HH fan cousin enjoyed it too.

My 8 year old loves Horrible Histories, and loves this game, although some.of the questions are quite challenging.
It has the potential to be a completely different game with so many different questions each time it is played.

I bought this for my granddaughter aged 9, who is a great Horrible Histories fan. She thought it was wonderful but I must admit my heart sank a little when she wanted me to play it with her. I was so wrong! It’s a great game for all ages and even though I’m a history fan there were still plenty of questions I couldn’t answer. If you’re undecided as to whether or not your child/grandchild will like it, don’t worry, they will.

My grandchildren aged 7.5 two girls and two boys loved this game. They learnt a lot and definitely laughed a lot. A pleasant change from the electronic games they usually enjoy. I would highly recommend.

This is a great game for kids who already love history (mine are addicted to Horrible Histories). It is easy to play, good instructions, and has a wide range of questions.

Arrived next day (yesterday at time of writing), 8 year old daughter loves it, wanted to play it again immediately after first game. Really fun way of learning horrible historical facts!

Kids really enjoy this game; it’s simple enough to play for our young 6 year old with his brothers, but helps that he’s a good reader. Nice to have something they’ll play together that has some educatiomal merit and doesn’t (usually…) end up as a pitch battle.

I bought this as birthday present for my 11 year old grandson – it is only for 4 players – we played in teams of two which was actually more fun – I learned history facts I didn’t know – big success! buy it for any children over eigh

Bought for grandson’s 9th birthday. It’s great fun and also educative. It’s a board game he has chosen to play with the family since. Only downside is that there are only 4 ‘player pieces’ – we have solved this by playing in teams, this has helped with some of the ‘activity questions’.

Lots of multiple choice questions mean that all members of the family can partake in the game. Not for everyone but my children enjoy the tv series and have an interest in history so great for them.
