For obvious reasons I can’t actually open the advert calendar until December, looking at the packaging it seems a very exciting calendar to open every day in December leading up to the big day. It does say only 8 cars and the rest is going to be accessories to go with the whole winter theme going on. I am not sure how a really young child would feel about getting maybe a plastic piece instead of a car on quite a number of the days.
The thrill of opening a new door each day brings a childlike joy that’s hard to match. The variety of cars and accessories keeps the excitement fresh. However, the quality of some accessories could be better. They’re not all winners, but they do fuel the imagination, and that’s what really counts here. A festive, imaginative experience for sure.
Counting down to the holidays has never been this fun. The surprises behind each door are a mixture of cars and accessories, providing varied interest. The cars themselves are detailed and offer a good play experience. However, the playmat included is quite small, limiting the space for interactive play. It keeps the festive spirit alive, but a larger play area would have elevated the experience.
I must admit, this is a very clever idea for an advent calendar and a great way for kids to discover a new Hot Wheels car and other Christmasy goodies over the holidays. It’s a good-sized box that also doubles as a track. Upon opening the cover you see all 24 cutouts that contain 8 Hot Wheel cars and an assortment of small Christmas toys, including a sledge, gingerbread man, a couple of reindeer and some attachments for the Hot Wheel cars. The whole winter season theme works well and will definitely add some season cheer and enjoyment for the kids.
I got this with my 6-year-old in mind, who absolutely adores his Hot Wheels cars and tracks, which he often has laid out all over the living room floor, and this special set will no doubt bring a smile to his face. But, it’ll be difficult to hold the kids back and they’ll feel tempted to rip the whole thing open in one go.
Considering the mixture of cars and other small toys you get in this set, it works out to be good value for money, besides if your kids love Hot Wheels they will appreciate this calendar more than anyone.
This put a big smile on my sons face! Every morning he was so exited to open his next door, for the money it was brilliant as each car worked out at around 1 which is cheaper than the shops!
Okay so for the cars you do get it’s great but on the other days when you get little plastic bits and pieces it’s rubbish I think next year I’ll make my son his own advent Calendar myself at least then I won’t have melt downs on the days their is no cars.

I knew when I got it what was in it but feel Hot Wheels could be a bit more innovative on the days you don’t get a car. Small corner connector pieces maybe? Instead it’s random plastic bits that won’t ever get used. Which I knew. Personally would have paid more for 24 car calendar. Decent but could be better.
I bought this for my son as his advent calendar this year. I found there were too many small bits that didn’t really do much and not enough cars. That said, he did really enjoy playing with the cars.
My 8 year old son loved hot wheels and was excited when he received this. Some of the items were disappointing, small plastic bits that don’t really have anything to do with hotwheels. My son was disappointed on the date he got a random plastic gift and not a car. There were 8 cars and I could of bought him a pack for less money.
This is the 2nd year I’ve got one of these calendars for my son. They are good but they could change it up a bit each year! Basically the same stuff just different colours. Won’t be buying again next year unfortunately.
You only get a few cars, the accessories are tiny and not worth the price. The novelty is a good idea but the gifts between the cars are tiny and a bit confusing for younger children all they know is they got a bit of plastic in the door that day
My boy had the 2020 calendar and this 2021 version has pretty much the same cars but different colours. He was happy with the contents and gets a car roughly every 3 days. I think we’ll do something different next year and get a Lego one. If you’ve never had a Hotwheels calendar before then I would recommend.

You get 8 cars and 16 accessories. When you open the lid there’s a track on the side. You get a range of cars and accessories so nothings the same.
Overall excellent for the money
My car crazy 3 year old was over the moon to see this at xmas time. The first door opened a purple hot wheels car and he played with it all morning saying it was his favourite.
Excellent price calendar, just a shame there aren’t more cars (about 1 in 3) but I guess this keeps the cost down.
