This was bought to replace a plastic version that didn’t survive the winter. Has a metal body which is compact and has a good ‘hand feel’ you can operate the trigger and lock single handedly. Has a good range of spray patterns.

Really good spray gun with great options to vary the spray. Only issue, but doesn’t affect use, the item came with quite a few scratches and a chip/dent on the nozzle. No point in sending it back but would try and find in a shop next time.

Very comfortable to use, not too big and feels solid. The selector dial has a nice soft positive click stop. The mist option is really good for delicate plants. The shower option is good for more robust plants and rinsing the car off. I have had several cheaper units which tend to split and not last long,I hope this will last much longer. I purchased this unit from reading other reviews which said that they last. Hope they are correct.

I bought this to replace my previous Hozelock spray gun which had finally started to leak from the spray adjuster ( often soaking me in the process). This one was not expensive, has several different spray modes and doesn’t leak. It also has a 2 stage trigger lock so that you don’t have to be squeezing it all the time whilst watering the plants. I’ll be happy if it lasts as long as the last one did.

Had two of the pros which I bought thinking they’d be better/stronger – they’re heavy and look the part but both broke quite quickly – incessant leaking and handle falling apart just from light garden use.

Took the plunge with this at half the price of pro. On first use it’s pretty good. It’s lighter. Nicer in the hand but obviously more plasticky.
Less jets but probably more useful ones.

    Cons:
    – no flow control
    – jet types are words rather than symbols, which is strangely slower to find
    – mist isn’t as good as pro, it has strong jets within it kind of making it a bit useless.

Long term durability unknown at this poi

This is great, only negative I have is that on a couple of settings the head does leak out the side, but its not much and I am super happy with it. In fact I would buy again.

This unit was to replace another, which I’d had for about 5 years.
The functionality is great, and has a hefty, robust feel.
The reason for only 4 stars is that the previous unit (same model) developed a sticky handle and refuses to stop/start cleanly – I attempted to clean and reassemble, but could diagnose the cause, so recycled it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHad one similar to this from Hozelock for about 10 years. eventually the pivot point on the trigger broke away and could not be repaired. Overall itsa good value product in my view, and can be adjusted and oiled as required. Recommended store indoors when not in use.

    Excellent quality.
    A famous and trusted brand.

Good spray patterns. Central is like a mini jet wash for bikes.

Feels solidly constructed, and the trigger is very comfortable.
The lock for the trigger works well.

    Perfect.

Iv had a few hose guns over the years and what Iv found is the plastic becomes brittle and break with the weathering so this metal one will hopefully be a lot more sturdy but only time will tell
So far it has worked perfectly and does feel like a quality hose gun for extended periods of time the trigger does become a bit hard to keep pressed down so I just push the red trigger and keeps it on without the need to keep it pressed down it works perfectly
I would give it 5 stars but don’t know how it’s going to work over a long period of time
But for now I’m extremely happy with it and I would recommend i

Previously had the same but in plastic, this is such an advance on that. Very easy to hold and super strong. Looking forward to when I will use it everyday to water the garden, lots of different sprayer controls. Worth the extra money.

This is sturdy and easy to fit/use on the garden hose. An earlier Hoselock was left out in freezing conditions and broke so it’s advisable to take the trigger off in very cold weather.

This is a replacement for a Hozelock unit I have had for about 10 years. The first thing I noticed when trying to connect it to my hose pipe was, although the fittings were all Hozelock fittings, the new nozzle kept disconnecting from the fitting. This was only cured when I fitted a new Hozelock fitting to the pipe. Other than that problem the new spray is as good in most respects as our old one, the only major difference was on the ” jet ” setting, where I have noticed the jet of water is nowhere near as powerful as our old sprayers jet, other than that its a good buy.

Bought this new spray gun to replace similar one that leaked too much.
This one much better but on certain settings it does leak a little, which is
annoying if wearing decent footwear. Otherwise a good versatile spray gu

I’ve had lots of Hozelock products and they insist on building in plastic that breaks over time. So I’ve upgraded this from the start by replacing the plastic connector with a metal one. Hoping that this will now last much longer.

Metal hose gun is the best. Had the plastic version before and this metal one just is so much stronger and works so well. It also depends on your water pressure. As Jet won’t do the same as a pressure washer as it isn’t electronically powered. It does shoot about 30 metres on my hose though. The mist is the best option for watering new or delicate flowers efficiently without damaging them.

I am very picky about buying goods. This one is must have: metal body, fits well in the hand and well balanced, 8 different modes and I am not sure which one is the best. The gun gives such a good flow of a water, that it feels as the water pressure in the house is much higher.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsed for plant pot watering and car washing, probably on average, once each week. After 10 months it was leaking from the handle. Managed to get it to bits and the rubber washer on the valve plunger had snagged leaving it’s recess and so allowed water to escape. Removed the plastic bits and chucked the aluminium in metal recycling. Nice to use, good selection of spray options, but for me at least, failed sooner than expected.

I missed having flow control for plant post watering but that’s not a feature with this model. If you have good mains pressure, it’s a feature to consider including in your selection.

worked well while it lasted- which is a year- before locking into spray position, which won’t release. It’s really a shang, the outside is metal but the insides aren’t that durable.

The range of adjustments is excellent from water potted plants, the garden and jet spray for washing the car. A pretty well universal water spray gun. However from personal experience I have found the Achilles heal of this product is the trigger mechanism. Using the red lock button, which is quite flimsy, can easily break causing the whole trigger mechanism to fall apart rendering it useless.
