1. Unfasten the fitting
If your tuffhoze is leaking at the fittings, try checking the end connections. First, start by simply removing the fitting. This will reveal the internals to the tuffhoze.
2. Check the connection
Secondly, check the connection of your tuffhoze.. Clean out the aquastop connection and the end of your tuffhoze.
3. Secure the connection
Once clean, secure the connection in place by pushing the tuffhoze back into the aquastop connector. Make sure the connection is tight.
4. Fasten the fitting
Finally, tightly fasten the fitting back onto the aqua stop connector on your tuffhoze. This 2 minute fix will resolve any leaks that may have occurred.

I like that I can scoop this up in one arm and carry it from back of the house to front it’s that lightweight. I don’t need a hose reel or cart, i can just put it in a box or bucket when not in use. The connections do not leak. Definitely tougher than the Hozelock expandable but time will tell how long it will last. The guarantee is impressive and Amazon records my purchase date so overall I’m very pleased.
Good sturdy hose but it would need some protection if using around flagstones/concrete. I have to lift it as opposed to drag it behind me. The fabric outer coat could easily fray.
I’ve had some cheaper hoses of this type in the past. This feels more robust, decent quality hose and robust fittings at either end. Turns out that, in hoses as in life, you get what you pay for.
After decades of trying to find ‘the hose pipe to end all hose pipes’ I have at last found the best yet. It’s easy to handle (I’m 75) as it doesn’t kink or knot. It remains flexible under all conditions unlike the plastic ones. I now have 2 of these to cover our largish garden. The 30 year guarantee should see me out!
Have purchased a few other expanding hose pipes before but they maybe only last a summer if lucky. The quality of this is far superior and is accurate to the length stated (previous purchases were 10ft off the claimed length)
Not really a negative point, but it is quite heavy, but wouldn’t let that put you off from buying. Own several hozelock products and the quality is always very good!
UPDATE
Less than a year after buying it, it has developed a leak! Stored it in a tote in the garage over winter, and used it for the first time this year, and it has a puncture! Hozelock redirected me to Amazon as it had been less than a year, and Amazon customer service was first class and issued a refund. Won’t buy another expandable hose as even with this Tuffhoze, it hasn’t lasted a year, even with careful storage, and only ever used in the garden over grass (as opposed to a driveway or dragged over gravel etc!)
I bought this item a while ago and bought another one recently – more orders could be in the pipeline (forgive the deliberate pun) as I have recommended it o friend and family.
I bought this to replace my flexi hose which once again had come away from the head and had starting leaking from numerous splits
I was buying at least 2 a year and getting fed up with them
So I chose this not thinking it would be as good
However I was so wrong
This is the best option much stronger , robust option

Good hose but can’t find a suitable reel to store it on .The Hozelock one had the wrong built in hose connector for the hose and was really not easy to click fit together.
Very strong and durable.but quite heavy..To roll up.its easier to let half the water out,roll up,then let the rest of water out on the hanga
This is probably the best hose I have experienced, no twisting, no tangles, a hard wearing and durable.Ideal hose for garden irrigation, connecting to a jet washer and general use -excellent!
Having purchased a good100ft extendable hose, I needed a smaller 30ft hose for quick daily use on the patio. I puchased another extendable hose which was useless as it leaked and also would have needed too many modifications to change it to hoselock connections.
I opted to go directly for this hoselock and it is really well made and works brilluantly. Its not extendable but as its only a small hose it wraps around the hanger easily.
A have spent years buying plastic hose pipes that kink, spring leaks and end up a tangled mess.
This one from Hozelock is superb and I wish I brought it years ago.
It doesn’t kink, it rolls up really small and looks really tough for use on my gravel drive.
Comes with quality fittings and mates to my car washer stuff (foam lance)
Cant recommend it enough
