I’ve had this printer for 4 years. It now sits in a cupboard out of sight connected to my wifi as – other than changing paper and retrieving printed docs, it’s the only time I need access.
Good riddance to those ink based printer days swapping dried out cartridges that never seem to continuously work from one day to the next and especially at the time when you most need them. Gone of the days attempting to install cheap cartridge replacements that never work, messy ink kits using syringes and the eventual force buy of proper branded kits at their eye watering prices.
The attached picture has the toner levels of the original cartridge installed 4 years ago – this alone has saved me 100’s
OK, I’m not printing off 500 page master pieces which to some degree is the point. Since owning the thing, I’ve not once had that panic feeling a couple of days before flying that my boarding cards will not print. It just works and is reliable. Maybe not the fastest but what i’m printing is not needing to hit deadlines.
So it may not print photo quality pictures but on the rare occasions that I’ve ever needed these, I’ve used online services that do it better than my old ink printers.
I can’t recall having any installation issues as other have had although I do remember the instructions not being that clever. It just takes a bit of patience.
The software drivers work really well on Mac and Windows.
I can’t think of a reason for me to need to replace this printer for many years to come.
This is a great printer and produces excellent results. However the scanning software is a bit flaky. Tends to jam occasionally and is not the easiest to clear when it does.
Decided to go for a more expensive laser jet as ink jets kept drying up due to occasion use. This printer has to date been excellent. I would recommend to anyone as in the long run it is cheaper than those ink jet printers that suck you in with a low price and then hammer you on the ink.
With this printer it has so far exceeded my expecations and I am very happy with it.
The only down point is that I cannot find a cover for it.
I have had this for a few months now and I am very pleased. Print quality is good both in black and white and colour. The copier quality is good for the documents I use at work. Although the scanner works well, it is quite slow to scan compared to more expensive office scanners. It also doesn’t like to scan low weight paper using the document feeder and often takes a few pages through at once.
Very good printer. But one needs to get to know as there are a number of features. Biggest problem is HP’s download. This can tend to interfere with Windows and other set ups. HP downloaded tries to take over several features and tries to get on top of what may be irrelevant to you. Created quite a mess which I have not been able to sort out. Finally deleted it and lost my Wi Fi connection.
Must say printer itself is very good. If only HP could provide simple downloads so one can just use the printer well.
Easy set-up and a great printer. I have a mixture of Microsoft and Apple products in the house….no issues at all on any device including an iMac, iPads plus Windows 7 & 10. Most devise connect wirelessly. Greta print quality. I’m on my starter toner, read another review that said he printed a lot and the start toner lasted for several months. We’ll see if that the case w mine. My HP and Epson inkjet printers drank ink, thinking toner in the long run will work out cheaper…w better quality printing.
Great colour multifunction device, very easy to use, supports printing from my iPhone, a bit larger than an inkjet printer, but has a lot of extra features and being a laser printer should have a long shelf life. Just a point do check the price of the toners, they can be more expensive than you might be used too with an inkjet printer but they last a lot longer, see if there is a bundle where you can get the printer with proper toners or buy when HP have a deal on their site.
I bought this printer to replace two other printers – an old inkjet/scanner/printer/copier and another colour laser. The consumables on the other two were getting too expensive. I wanted a low cost replacement that offered the same services.
I followed the advice of another reviewer and downloaded the drivers from HP before starting the setup. I have two PCs, a Windows and a MacBook. Setting up the Windows PC was an absolute doddle. For the Mac, make sure you download the correct drivers, this took me two attempts. Again, a doddle to setup if you have the correct drivers and follow the onscreen instructions.
The printer, scanner and copier work flawlessly, the print quality is good. But if you want photo quality, take your media to one of the high street shops and print it there.
One tiny negative and this has been said by another reviewer, the paper tray could be larger. But if like me, you only print a dozen or so pages a week, then it is more than adequate for light usage.

This is quite a heavy printer at 18kg, but the footprint is actually smaller than my old inkjet MFP mainly because the M277dw duplexer is very compact.
Already had up to date hplip installed in my Linux box (V 3.16.3)
Linux Mint recognised it straight away on USB, and prompted for driver download, which happened quickly. Enabled wifi on the printer control screen, and it connected up first time. Made a note of the IP address and then went to printers http GUI page and then configured it for my network and preferences. (e.g. a fixed IP address, duplex on by default etc.) I used CUPS to install the printer in Linux, and to manage print queues etc
Scanning and printing worked straight away with Gimp, Libre Office, and everything else. Nice and quick prints especially double sided.
Print quality on text and graphics 5 stars.
Photos pretty good despite what others have said. Don’t usually print my photos anyway – I use an online photo printer for hard copies of keepers
No need to reboot the PC at any stage – of course – it’s Linux 🙂
Only one software license to accept (for the proprietary hp driver).

Wireless set-up took a little longer than expected (using Windows 7) – but once it’s done it’s fine – I’ve even changed wifi passwords etc since and updated the settings on the HP is easy.
Printing is fast and haven’t had any issues with quality.
Dropped a star because scanning is very slow, both for single sheets and muliple!
Would recommend this for personal or for a very small and undemanding office.
Delivered promptly, easy to instal but could get the paper to feed. Contacted HP support after following all the on line help. When they came back it worked first time!! Felt like a fool but hey it works fine and is very quick. Good support from HP
I can’t recommend this enough, has loads of features.. can be a little fiddly to setup properly, but nothing too unsavoury – depends how many features you want to use, anyway! I love the duplex printing, I like the flatbed scanner and the ADF for scanning/faxing, BUT wish that this was duplex (can’t have it all though). Wifi printing has been a pain for me, but it HAS worked and when it does, it’s very useful; I think my woes are network linked, not the printer.
If you want a very capable, all-round printer for your home (or small office), this has to make the short list, especially for the cost of the unit. I’d buy it again, especially considering replaced a simple, mono laser printer.
So far we have been pleased with this printer. It handles reasonably large print jobs very well, and the print quality is excellent. The only time it struggled was when printing 75 sheets of manual duplex from microsoft publisher. It got itself in a bit of a tizzy and had to be shut down and rested for a few minutes, but otherwise it has been great, even for double sided. Scanning is fine, but quite difficult to set it up to scan to email or the network and it keeps forgetting the set up so I have to keep redoing it. This might be my internet connection, but I tend to stick to scanning to USB drive now as it is easier. The only slight issue is that the printer tray is a bit small and the cartridges are expensive to buy. The cartridges it came with didn’t last long at all as they are only starter cartridges, so I am hoping the new ones last considerably longer, as the four of them cost almost as much as the printer!
Looked at lots of reviews, and this got plenty of positive ones. I print a dozen or so mono pages a day, and maybe 30 colour per month (photos) I purchased from Amazon Warehouse for only 219 – Item was described as “damaged box, may have imperfection on side or rear”
As usual, the box was undamaged 🙂 and the item perfect and unused! Arrived the following day as was eligible for Prime.
Anyway, no messy or fiddly setup with this one, it comes with the toners pre-loaded and ready to go out of the box.
Setup was easy, I connected it to WiFi and ran a couple of test prints.
For a laser, the photo quality is nothing short of excellent, and that’s on plain copier paper!
It’s fast, quiet and has good power management. The touchscreen makes it easy to use for copying, and I love that I can sync it to my Google Drive & Calendar, and print off my schedule with a couple of touches on the screen.
The toners can be, erm refilled using a pack bought from a well known online auction site, and it will carry on working even when the “low-level” has been reached unlike some. There are also options in the setup to force it to use genuine HP cartridges etc, but these are turned off by default. DON’T turn them on, as once activated, I’ve read that they CANNOT then be turned off.
All in all, highly recommended, so much so, that I’ve just bought another!
This printer looks good & doesn’t take up too much space. The print quality & speed is good for our needs.
Small bug bears, its a bit noisy if you print a lot, the paper tray only holds 150 sheets & I need to figure out how to stop it constantly calibrating
Photos can be a little on the dark side.
The direct print function is fiddly, and the Nearfield functionality I still haven’t worked out how to solve…
Having said all that, having the ePrint – being able to email a document to the printer from anywhere – is excellent.
We bought that printer in Amazon warehouse sales and is un very good conditions. The scanner is very fast and the noise level is low.

This is a good printer that does everything in one. The item working perfectly fine even after a long way shipment from UK to Hong Kong. The prinit out is absolutely fine but not razor sharp.
I am amazed. At long last a small, compact and quality laser printer with a scanner that is easy to set up. WiFi – found my network and common sense options that made sense. Unlike the Canon printer I have – I hate that Canon illogical setup and flakey drivers and scanner. This HP printer is superb quality and integrates into HP’s website for remote printing from android devices.
It is a small compact machine and so much less expensive and more features than my old LaserJet HP printer which cost around 800 about 12 years ago. Also the toner cartridges are already installed – how things have moved on.
I’ve not had any issues or problems and have not had to open them up other than to add paper and colour cartridges.
I had a few issue with computers loosing bluetooth connectivity to them and had to delete and re-add the printer a number of times. No sure if this is the printers fault or the computers fault but to avoid I now just use a USB printer cable.
Scanning, copying and printing are all fast and clear.
MUCH better than the two Samsung printers I have in the office.
Have had the printer for a few months now. Only use occasionally (about twice a week) but very reliable when called upon.
It was easy to set up and has been straightforward on two of the home networks I have had since purchasing. Relatively quiet in operation. I’ve seen some reviews comment on the footprint of this printer – it is on the large side but no bigger than most other printer/scanner lasers.
Only small gripe is that it seems impossible to print in monochrome as even when settings are changed it still prints in colour. This may be a software thing (or me just being thick) and so overall well deserving of 5 stars.
Anyway, this printer is a gem. It is very neat and sits tidily on my work desk. It prints very quickly and in great quality. I still keep the old HP 2605dn next to it for drafts and low-fi home stuff. But this is great – the scanner is terrific quality, the printing is vivid and consistent and copying is a doddle. It’s network facility is superb. It’s no more expensive than comparative printers to run
I am my clients are very happy with this little star. I recommend wholeheartedly for a home or small business.
This printer does what it says it will do and does it well bting a smile to my face every time i need to scan or print a long doxument. Even the hp software is much improved. Instant connection to mobiles and table let’s by direct WiFi or network connection. Scanner paper feed has been 100% reliable so far. Duplex printing works well. Only concern is coat of toner and uncertainty over use of lower cost alternatives. Toner though seems to be lasting well.
It is a brilliant, easy to setup and use printer. Possible to print from all sort of device on the same wifi network or by simply sending your files with email to the printer. Very quick to print from cold as well, only takes 1-2 seconds to warm up and another 1-2 second to print the page! Also love the double sided print option. We have this since Christmas 2015, has been used well by everyone in the family including the kids (8 and 13 yrs) but never got jammed or ran out of the original toners. If you are looking for a reliable, speedy, frustration free printer with a small footprint on your desk, this is for you!
I was mad at having to replace my previous year old wireless printer of the same brand as I had been experiencing all sorts of problems with it. However, I’m actually glad I made the move as I just love the laser printer. Everything about it is better and the wireless facility works so much better and faster than the previous one. I could never get the self-feeding scanner to cope with more than one sheet of paper at a time but this one has no problem handling a few sheets and scans them all in record time.
Colour prints look more professional than the inkjet ones as the paper goes slightly shiny. Since I have not owned the printer for long, it is still on the toner cartridges which came with it so I’ve no idea how long these will last. The cartridges are horribly expensive so I’m hoping that I’ve got a good while yet. For those who need to print a lot of items, this printer is the one to get.
Took a bit setting up on WiFi but I think that was my fault. Grandson sorted it out no probs. Print quality very good but it does not seem to like printing onto photo paper although I bought the HP Laser Photo Paper. Everything else works great.
My first (mono) laser printer was a HP LaserJet II about 20 years ago, and it was a bullet proof workhorse I’ve missed ever since…till the M277dw turned up! The endless 5 star reviews elsewhere tell most of the story, but my key purchase factors were:
Pros: * Smallest footprint in class * Fast printing * Supports wired, wireless, network, USB, NFP, remote ePrint, AirPlay interfaces * iDevice compatible out of the box * Laser toner doesn’t dry out, so 1k pages means 1k pages! * Long life cartridges ~ 2300 (Color) 2800 (B&W) pages * Double sided printing * B/W and Color copy/print options * Excellent LCD menu system * The starter cartridges last for quite a while.
Cons: * 150 page paper tray (see notes below however) * Cost of toner (ditto) * Single sided scanning * OCR freebie software blows up regularly and only works for 1 month!
Note: Running costs can be minimised by printing double-sided and multiple pages per side (most readable is 2 pages/side), which saves both paper and expensive toner by a factor of 4. This also means you can get 600 pages effectively out of the small paper tray and minimises duty cycle, extends printer life and times between service. The B&W print output option saves 3 x colour toner unless absolutely needed. These are my default settings unless its a letter, poster etc. These settings put it on a par with much larger, vastly more costly pro machines.
Tips:
1) Buy your cartridges direct from HP – they are cheapest inc VAT and free delivery! If anyone knows of high quality compatible cartridges please advise, but for now I didn’t want to take the risk.
2) Before you buy from Amazon, ring HP UK and blag a 40 purchase voucher from their Sales Dept by asking for tech specs and other info – you then get the rebate online by supplying HP with a scan of your invoice (not Amazon’s but the actual supplier, who will be happy to oblige).
In all, a great buy and a joy to use!
Photographs and large graphics are not as crisp as an inkjet and can be ‘streaky’. When we first started using this printer it was very noisy (loud squeaks), but these noises have largely disappeared now and it is certainly far quieter than the old inkjet it’s replaced. The printer takes seconds to respond to a print command even from standby mode (unlike the old inkjet it replaced, which took forever to wake up, and frequently discovered it’d run out of ink after waking up), and prints pages rapidly even in duplex mode. The paper tray is not that large so may be frustrating for large volumes of print, but it’s adequate for home office use.
The scanner is very easy to use and produces good quality images, both using the flat-bed and the document feeder. Overall, I’m very pleased with this printer.

Gone are the days of dried up print heads or empty cartridges overtime i want to print something.
The printer is amazingly good for the price paid. Simple to use, high quality colour printing, quick and silent – what more do we need ?

Here is the catch, there is always at least one . .. . . the replacement toner cartridges are very expensive. The printer comes with Starter Toner Cartridges, I was concerned the cartridges would run out after a few sheets only – so bought a full set of replacements cartridges with the printer (toner cost 1.5x the printer cost !). 3 months of moderate to heavy use later we are still using the same starter cartridges. . . . . .
We used to dread the unpredictable nature of printing, more often than not wasting time paper and ink to get one good result. That is now all in the past; we love this faithful dependable printer that silently sleeps waiting to spring into life and deliver your printing needs.
Five well deserved Stars, this printer ticks all the boxes for home and office.
I have to say I’ve been delighted with this printer and it’s printed everything I’ve thrown at it so far. A (fairly basic) driver is available for Windows XP (which works!) and for the other versions of Windows I need namely Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
One thing I was recommended to do was that once the printer installation process was complete, I then went into my NETGEAR D7000-100UKS Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band 600+1300 Mbps Wireless (WiFi) VDSL and ADSL Modem Router for Phone Line Connections (BT Infinity, YouView, TalkTalk, EE and Plusnet Fibre) router’s DHCP configuration section and “reserved” the printer’s IP address that the router had allocated to it during installation. Doing this can greatly reduce potential printing problems via WiFi as the router will then ensure that the printer will be allocated the same IP address every time it and the printer are powered up. If your router does not have this facility, it can be achieved by setting the IP address lease time in the DHCP server to never expire. Not as good as reserving an IP address, but a useful workaround.

The Odd:
Even though the printer comes with the duplex unit built in, in the Windows 8.1 driver you have to set a well-hidden option in the driver that a duplex unit is installed in the printer. This caused me much hair-pulling until I discovered it as even though I’d selected duplex printing in the print options, it refused to do so — until I’d done the above that is, then it worked like a charm.
Copy/Scan quality is restricted to 300 optical dpi if you use the Auto document feeder, yet 1200dpi is possible if you place the sheet to be scanned/copied directly onto the glass.
*The annoying:
The Windows Phone 8.1 HP E-Print app doesn’t seem to work (not sure about the Android and iOS versions as I don’t have either phone).
Overall, a very capable and versatile printer/MFP at a great price!

I’ve had this for a number of months now and love it! Does great, high-quality prints and scans, the touchscreen is fantastic, almost as good as a smartphone screen. You can even download little applications for it, there is one that can print different types of paper such as lined, squared of different sizes etc. which is useful.
Only problems really are the paper tray which is quite small and will empty fast if you have a lot of things you need to print, and the fact that it cannot scan double sided paper; you have to manually flip them which is a bit of a shame because it prints double sided perfectly.
At first I had this connected over Wi-Fi, and after later connecting over Ethernet noticed how much faster it scans, which I guess is pretty obvious but it really does work quite a bit faster if you can run a cable to it!
After days of research I had discounted this HP printer due to its initial purchase price and was close to buying a Samsung.
Then I saw this printer at the reduced price of 149 on Amazon. After reading the glowing reviews and also finding out that for just 24 extra I could extend the onsite next day swop out warrenty from 1 year to 3 years I hit the BUY button
It arrived the next day and within 20 mins it was up and running totally wirelessly and test prints from my Mac, iPad, iPhone and Android phone were instantly produced.
My old Xerox was by far the easiest wireless device I had ever set up. This HP was just as easy!
Note: I did not install any software on my Mac from the supplied CD. I downloaded the latest drivers, software and firmware upgrade direct from the HP web site. I then installed everything -the last being the firmware update – and this all took less than 20 mins.
Yes the replacement carts are not cheap and a full set will set you back best part of 200. But I suspect that you would spend far more on inkjet ink.
This is my 2nd colour laser multifunction and I will never return to inkjet!
If you want a quality wireless colour laser then look no further. I have paid less than 175 for the printer with a 3 year next day swop out warrenty. A brilliant buy for the money.
So far, this is brilliant in almost every area (more later). Printing, copying, scanning all work very well, the document feeder is a huge improvement on lifting the cover each time when I want to copy multiple pages, and the quality is excellent. It would be nice if there was more of a gradient in quality between draft and normal, but it’s still ok. All in all, I love it so far, and am very happy with my purchase.
The only problem I have is in setting up some of the more advanced functions, like scan to email and the fax machine, which I am finding impossible to work out. But since I don’t use those functions more than once in a blue moon, it’s not an issue for me, and I’ve found workarounds for the scanning – I can scan to email as long as I send the email to myself, and then I forward it to where i want it to go. Would be nice to do it in one go, but that wouldn’t warrant losing a star.
HP have always, in my long experience of the brand, produced reliable, quality printers and I say this without any intention of buttering them up. So far this printer has performed exactly as advertised – reliably, that is – straight out of the box. I bought it to replace an Epson inkjet that drove me nuts with its constant demand for new and expensive ink cartridges. Although the cartridges for this particular HP printer seem expensive I’m assuming that HP will deliver the reliability I have always had from their products.
I’ve had this for about a month. I love it. It was easy enough for me to set it up with my Mac mini and it is very fast compared with the previous HP that I had. It does duplex printing very well but you have to tick the box for it every time. My only gripe is that it wants to print in landscape and has to be altered to portrait each time. Copy and scan AOK and easy. Fax I don’t use as it’s the way of sending your communication down the back of the nearest radiator.
At first i thought this was difficult to set up but simply switching off and then on again made it work once the drivers were installed.
It now works like a dream both as a printer and as a scanner and duplex printing is a real save . Very high quality and thoroughly recommended.
The only problem is that because it is so easy to use the tendency is to print out hard copy and produce a potential paper mountain.
Very happy with this printer. Works fine on my Mac running OSX 10.10. I have a few issues with wifi printing but I think that was becasue I had too many wifi access points in range and it seemed to be getting confused. Once I turned one off it connected fine. Good quality prints and scans and I like the remote printing option that lets you send an email to hp from anywhere in the world and it prints out on the printer.
very happy with this product. arrived on time. occupies very less space. good scan, copy and print speed. totally satisfied with black and colour prints. initially had problems to set up print/web services but got help from forums, now it works very well. should have duplex scanning
Coming from a Samsung colour laser printer. This HP printer is a huge upgrade. It has airprint and HP ePrint capabilities (Unfortunately no Google Cloud Print, but you won’t need it). I can send an email with an attachment to my printer from any where in the world and it would print it as long as its connected to the internet. It also comes with apps you won’t actually need other than Google Drive where you can print what ever’s saved on the cloud. You can also print office documents from your memory stick.
The print quality itself is really good for a CMYK. Although the prints in Eco mode can be better, I have printed roughly 30 sheets with all my toner still being at 100%. It will definitely save you money in the long run.
The printer feels solid, looks good, prints from phones, tablets, and computers over wifi, and has an email address for sending items to be printed from anywhere. It has a large capacity paper tray, and a single-sheet feeder for any one-off irregular printed items. The scanner feeder can also accept multiple sheets and print them all in one go. No complaints so far.
ADDITION: I’ve now had the printer for about 5-6 months and despite the 3 colour cartridges all showing ‘low ink’ around the time I wrote the original review about 3 months ago, they’ve continued to work with frequent use throughout those 3 months. Only last week did I actually have to replace one of the toner cartridges. I now believe I’ll get about 9 months use from the new (larger capacity) colour cartridges and over a year from my new larger capacity black cartridge.
Excellent machine. It was very easy to install on to my HP Pavilion PC using the USB cable. It works well with my other PCs which are running XP and Win 7. Prints flawlessly wirelessly from iPhones and iPads. Scans well to the PC. It will not scan however to my Thunderbird email programme which appears to be a common complaint with the printer. As a standalone copier it is very good also. Colour prints come out darker than the original otherwise print quality is good. Overall I am very satisfied with this printer and I have bought a second one for use at home.
This is compact, fast, reliable.
The feeder for the scan and copier is very useful (and not available on lower specs models).
The ‘Priority slot’ is also very helpful as it allows you to feed photo paper separately, without having to open the paper drawer.
The printer is quiet, extremely easy to set up on wireless, the software is intuitive and efficient.
Good quality colour printing, even on photos if you use HP premium glossy laser paper.
The cons:
As many have said, only 150 sheets of paper in the drawer. That is not much and there is no ‘out of paper’ warning. I have another b&w printer (Laserjet Pro M201) and for b&w printing this is much more efficient.
No duplex scanning (but duplex printing). I get around that problem (for short documents) by copying one side of the dual sided document and then feeding the photocopy along with the original in the feeder.
printing costs relatively high.
No scanning to a cloud folder if you use Dropbox unless you buy a subscription to a separate service (like sccan). As all my stuff is on Dropbox Google drive is of little use to me…
You can scan direct to email, which is great, but this won’t work with an Exchange account, only POP or IMAP. To get the smtp server name and port check the settings on your POP or IMAP account and enter them in the printer.
A couple of tips:
a) once your printer is on the wireless, write down the IP address (typically of the form: XXX.XXX.X.XXX), enter that in your browser and you’ll be taken directly to the control center for the printer. You can set everything up from there (email, cloud, fax).
b) if you scan from the computer, not the machine, and automatically include yourself in the sending, you get a preview of the email before it is sent. You can then rename and save the scan where you want it (including Dropbox) without even having to send the email. You also get a preview of the scan itself.
c) if you can’t copy from the feeder, check that ‘ID Copy’ is not lit on the machine’s screen. That only works from the flatbed scanner (for ID and passports).
If you have a lot of b&w printing to do and don’t need colour, get the Laserjet M 201 pro. The costs are lower, it holds 250 sheets and is faster (in my exp). But if you need colour and are fed up with inkjets drying up on you (I’ve had that for 3 printers now and on the newer ones you can’t soak the heads to clean them anymore), the M277dw is a good one. Beware, it weighs a ton though (18kg) and also you need clearance space at the front (cartridges drawer) and at the back (to clear paper jams, although I haven’t had any so far). All in all allow for about 1m depth-wise, not the 40cm or so of the machine .

UPDATE one month later:
Beware of thick paper and of paper jams. After using some photo laser paper 200mg I had to clear about 10 jams. In the end the printer jammed (with normal paper) so badly that I had to return it for an exchange. The problem is that it is possible for the paper to get scrunched up in such a way that even by opening all doors you can’t get to it without dismantling the machine, which I did not want to do. In short, so long as you use paper up to 130mg you’re OK. After that it’s at your own risk…
My only reservation is that replacement toners seem to be expensive but hey–ho–I guess that applies to most machines. I will be running off about 2000 pages in the first couple of weeks so it will be interesting to find out, in the near future, how long they last.
Re delivery, the automatic response told me that it would arrive in about a week—in fact it arrived the following day just 24 hours later!
The paper feeds are great too, making sure that the paper is aligned is easy. The top loading copier is very easy to use and can take about 10 pages without having to feed each one in individually. Front loading USB for easy printing and it links directly to my Apple devices for direct printing.
It’s fast at warm-up and prints very fast too. We’ve got it set to be double sided by default and the print times for this too are still nice and fast for a small office .
The only thing that needs to be changed is the flashing ‘on’ button when the printer goes to sleep. Just turn it off please HP.
Fed up of replacing the ink cartridges for my previous printer (and others before it), I opted for a laser jet printer. This one is available through various retailers, but was most reasonably priced on here. Ridiculously easy to set up, it connected in seconds to the many devices we have (iPhones, MacBooks, iMac, WIFI, you name it). The print quality is excellent, printing and scanning is speedy. On top of this, even with the 7.99 I paid on top of the price of the printer to have it delivered today, guaranteed it arrived this afternoon (I placed the order last night). Excellent printer and delivery service. P.S. It also comes with laser cartridges.
I was fed up with constantly replacing ink cartridges but wanted a good solid laser MFP.
This ticked all the boxes and duplex printing is a great bonus, saving on paper as well.
Works well with iOS devices through AirPrint and does everything I expected.
The ability to scan to a folder is a great help, I now scan in utility bills etc and being able to scan straight to a folder in PDF is a bonus, I can scan anytime and come back later to sort the files out.
Definitely glad I bought this printer.
