This is perfect for my needs. The on/ off button isn’t easy to locate but I’ve got used to the position now. Very slim and unobtrusive for such a size
Love this screen, it’s slick and stylish, so not hurt the eye and I use it for gaming and work. Glad I got it.
There is absolutely no way of having audio if you’re using this monitor for console gaming
I’ve just received this monitor. Set-up was trickier than I think it should have been, primarily because there were no set-up instructions in Englsih. There were instructions in a lot of other languages plus a set of diagrams which aren’t entirely clear. Now that I’ve finally got the monitor working it seems OK, but why do we have to be subjected to a puzzle-solving intelligence test just to make something we’ve bought work?
First of all, I was slightly confused over the setting up of the monitor re Quick Setup,
I soon realised step B was an either / Or decision, anyway soon realised what was required.
Next issue, at first I couldn’t get the monitor to power up, am thinking where is the power on button?
So I thought to myself , I really don’t want to have to go the process of re-packing this and sending it back.
Then I thought will disconnect from my pc and just simply try and power it up on a kitchen work top.
What I discovered was that it is crucial to ensure that the HDMI cable is firmly pushed into the monitor HDMI connector and the same with the 13amp power lead, and then Voila the moniter sprang into life.
After that all was good, do make sure you download HP Display Centre as explained on the quick setup stage. Once you have done that it is far easier to configure the monitor to your desired settings re brightness and contrast etc.
All in all am very happy with my purchase.
Excellent screen for work. Clear and extends the view of working documents.
The monitor colours and lighting are perfect full hd. The thin layer looks really cool. However , u cant adjust its height. But , u can always add an extra layer on the bottom.
This screen is great for my home office. We have two – one for each desk. Easy link up to laptops via an adaptor. The lovely slim design doesn’t add bulk to your streamlined workspace. Good value for money.
Excellent for office use. I found monitors with 1000R too curved and 3800R too flat. This 1500R monitor is just perfect for Excel and programming. Not sure about creative work or CAD I did not try those yet.
Picture quality is excellent and it’s great that it comes with the necessary cables.
It’s not bad, the quality of the image could be better to be jones but we use it for work and it really does the job, it is really good price. The screen it’s very beautiful
Nice design, really narrow which gives it a great look. Picture quality is good. I would buy again but know this model is no longer available. But having said that I would buy the upgraded version should I need another screen. Came nicely packaged, and on time. Thank you
Well worth getting one or even 2 like I did, really good screen and great quality
Overall very happy with product, very nice monitor and perfect for my needs.
Unfortunately not so impressed with delivery, monitor was left in plain view on doorstep in the rain, in only manufacturers packaging, no protective / weatherproof bag or outer packaging. Driver did not use my Ring doorbell although I was at home and happened by chance to find it when I did.
Pretty good! I like it but I’d buy a bigger one in future.
Don’t really have any complaints about this. Easy to set up. Big clear screen. Looks very impressive on the desk and I like the silver colour very much. Hardly any border at all around the screen which is great.
We recently purchased this to extend our display and the picture quality is brilliant however the issue is we are unable to fix this monitor in our existing stand that we have, normally there is a slot which can be easily fixed on the wall or stand that we have but this monitor does not have this so its a pain but if that’s not what you need then this is a brilliant one
It works with Samsung Dex over USB-C cable (still upscaling fullHD to 4K, but still usable with keyboard and mouse connected over USB to the monitor).
A perfect match to any laptop (supporting 4K) with USB-C as there is only one cable needed on your desk to have it connected. Everything else including external speakers/headphones can be connected to the monitor over 3 USB ports and audio jack.
the only flaw is.. its not curved and with this size next year model will be 😉
Other than that, I’m loving everything about this monitor. I was actually shopping for a whole new laptop that could drive dual external monitors for my home office. I’d have spent well more than twice what I paid for this, plus have to buy the second monitor. The total pixels I get (my system can’t drive it at the full 3440×1440) are less than I would have from two 1920×1200 monitors, but that’s more than compensated by the lack of a bezel between two monitors, identical display on both sides, and the curve. I’m finding it far easier to deal with multiple unmaximized windows on one display than windows that maximize to fill one of two monitors.
The stand is a beautiful piece of engineering in its own right. The User guide suggests you should “Reposition your monitor as you adjust your working posture throughout the work day”. With my dual monitor setup in my work office, this is simply not feasible (Allen keys are involved!). With this stand, everything is perfectly balanced and it’s easy to raise & lower, or move closer or further away.
Lovely looking monitor at a great price. I purchased from the Refurb store but if the device had ever been out of the box I couldn’t tell.. it was in immaculate condition. Easy to assemble, came with the leads I needed and looks great hooked up to my Mac Mini. The lack of speakers wasn’t an issue for me. The ultra thin bezel makes the monitor look much more expensive than it is. I don’t regret this purchase at all..
Pros
Screen resolution
WiFi It runs fhd only in this mode but it was fine for me
Set up was Easy
I use Adobe apps so it looked perfect on this with good workspace
Haven’t played games on this monitor so can’t comment.
Cons
Speakers were not very good but fine as its a monitor not a TV and I will be using laptop speakers.
I got it in 210 so it’s great for me at this price.
The picture quality is good enough for me, although I have nothing to compare it with so I can’t really make a call. However, I wouldn’t have bought it had I known that it was not VESA compatible. I was torn between three monitors with similar specs and went for this one as it was slightly cheaper. Having to get an adaptor to mount it means that it will actually work out more expensive.
One of the best looking screens out there. I had the HP M27fwa which has similar looks but upgraded to the U27 for 4k and VESA support.
I bought it immediately when the price dropped by 100.
The VESA mount is included which is unusual and nice but the bracket is only held in place by a tiny plastic clip so I live in fear of the screen dislodging from the bracket.
Downsides: only 1 HDM1 port, max 60Hz at 4K
Super easy to set up, looks good, and works fine so far! You can tell it’s on the lower end of the price spectrum with picture quality, particularly when plugging in a laptop with a smaller screen. But for the price, it’s great, and I’m very happy with it!
Stand issues aside. The monitor would not connect wirelessly to my laptop and not sure if that was due to Windows 11. It connected fine with the HDMI lead. Today I added it a different way through Windows and the monitor paired. The screen is a good size and the picture quality is more than sufficient for what I need it for (work). Over wireless there is a very slight delay, but I think that is down to the amount of programmes that I am running at one time rather than the monitor. (Using an Huawei MateBook X Pro).
Would still recommend.
A well priced, aesthetically pleasing and great performing x2 hdmi full hd screen.
I’ve seen, had and have many monitors. I currently own and use a 35 inch ultrawide 2k monitor. But i got this one for my dad to replace his 12 year old still working hp 1080 22in monitor. This is by far the Best looking monitor I have seen or had. Even my 700 19in Sony from back in 2016, wasn’t close.
Quality hp product from recycled materials. Get one. And having two hdmi inputs is something that many monitors don’t have at this price
The only DOWNSIDE is the HEIGHT which is not optimal both for me and my partner (I’m quite tall, she’s “not tall”). When in perfectly vertical position, the lower edge is ~8cm far from the desk and the upper edge is ~38cm far from the desk. Buying a third-part stand is not easy because the monitor is NOT COMPATIBLE with the VESA standard.
I tend to get migraines from screens but have not had one since buying this monitor. It doesn’t strain your eyes and you can adjust the brightness whilst still feeling great!
It’s a pretty big screen and is easy to set up, i’ve connected it to my work laptop so it was literally one wire. It’s the best investment I have made in my home office as I stare at a screen all day and feel fine! I also wear contact lenses and my eyes don’t dry out.
For all those less tech savvy people out there who need a screen for work, I can’t think of a better screen!
Colours are amazing on the monitor and the screens view can be adjusted making it perfect for different heights. It’s quite light as well and has a place to make sure your wires at the back are nicely arranged.
I used it on my PS4 and works perfectly, I mostly play fifa and warzone and had no issues with both and the resolution was great!
There’s no speaker although that’s not much of an issue.
But there is a general issue with 4K monitors I had not appreciated.
This 28″ monitor replaced a 27″ apple thunderbolt monitor of lesser resolution.
At 4K everything becomes tiny on screen and text, particularly below icons, is almost unreadable, even wearing my glasses made specifically for working on a monitor.
The only work around is to lower the resolution of the monitor in your computer settings. It’s cheaper just to buy a lower resolution monitor. It used to be possible to scale system text and icons, but no longer.
I think 4K would need at least a 32″ monitor, and more likely 36″ to really take advantage of the resolution.
