The Hawaii GT 3 Pro is an exceptional smartwatch that exceeds expectations. Its sleek design, extensive features, and long battery life make it a reliable companion for any activity. I highly recommend it for those seeking a stylish and functional timepiece.
I have swapped between an Apple Watch on HUAWEI GT devices since the first model was launched. In all cases I found the need to charge the Apple daily a bit of a pain particularly when travelling compared to the week long life of the HUAWEI. I also found the sleep tracking on the HUAWEI better in terms of accuracy of time particularly for naps. The watch is very comfortable to wear being lightweight, has a super bright screen with good resolution, built in GPS and I find the arterial stiffness measuring function really helpful for keeping an eye on vascular condition. The activity tracking is also pretty decent with a really fun play back for runs/walks in map mode. I picked mine up on Amazon marketplace for half the price of a Series 8 Apple Watch. My only criticism is app compatibility which Apple has significantly better options for.
Whilst this watch trails behind the other main brands app wise, the overal functionality makes up for it money wise , superb value and beautiful.
Can’t believe that after 2 years the battery still hold strong. It depletes about 5% of battery a day so you don’t have to worry about it running flat like its competitors and then it fully charges I’m like 90 mins.
These watches never fail to suprise me with there price, quality and specification.
LOVE HUAWEI FOR THIS WATCH LONG LIFE BATTERY AND BEAUTIFUL DESIGN
Beautiful watch quality materials amazing features battery life unbelievable goes for ages before needing charged very pleased with my purchase
No smart alarm to wakeup at right time.
Light weight.
Most of them are on demand and auto. Definitely recommend i
Now my daily, great functional app (even in iOS!) lovely screen and build quality, had lots of compliments every week since buying.
Unexpectedly surprised and rather pleased
With it.
Good value for money.
All functions working well including ECG with U.K. settings.
Enjoy!
Battery life is amazing! Heart rate and SPO2 are spot on. Sleep duration is accurate but Hauwei needs to improve the deep sleep, REM, and light sleep accuracy. Otherwise, this is the bestwatch for android devices!
Had mine for a few weeks. No issues at all, I checked some of the readings against other devices and it is accurate.
Looks great, good choice of watch faces to help keep it fresh. Impressed and very happy.
This is my second Huawei watch after having the GT2 for around 3 years, this is an improvement in every aspect. Battery life is just unmatched as is the simple UI. Highly recommend.
in the past watch straps have only just fit around my wrist, i thought i would have to add all the extra links supplied in the box,
after fitting all the extra links i had to remove 2 of them as it was too loose.
Free headphones were so, so, but absolutely no probs with the watch and so easy to set up, I love it and going by all the positive comments I’ve gotten from other folks, so do they.
I’ve never had a watch as good as this, the battery life is amazing, 4 day of battery life, with 70 % left to go and I’ve been on the phone twice through the watch.
The quality of the watch is outstanding. Its puts apple watches to shame, with only a day charge.
the screen is sapphire Christal, you get that only on expensive watches
My shortlist was the Garmin Epix 2 and the HUAWEI gt3 pro. I viewed and tried on both watches and made a confident decision. The HUAWEI was the winner and ticked all the boxes. Beautifully made Titanium body and strap, Oled display, long battery life, warranty and all the features I would need with a smartwatch. I managed to buy a used like new watch from Amazon with a 20% discount – 276 GBP. That was 400GBP cheaper than the Garmin.
Is there a downside, yes. I loved the Garmin Connect software and ability to link with Strava, etc. I cannot add APPs to the HUAWEI as I’m in the UK and use an IOS device. Music is also not possible but I’d never use that feature anyway. Those are negatives, but to be honest, not worth paying an extra 400 GBP for.
Overall, I’m VERY impressed with the HUAWEI GT3 pro.
The watch is great for everyday use, it is so light and comfortable. The battery life I get is about 10-12 days but I do not use GPS, as I said – just normal everyday use.
It’s now 14 Days and Battery Level is 29%. I don’t use heavy, I use as a normal watch and just use sleep tracking and a few times check other health apps. Battery I would say is better than HUAWEI GT 2 Pro. 4 Stars because the strap is too tight or too loose. The best way to close The Titanium Strap is too pull the strap before you close to avoid pitching. Overall I would recommend. Lots of great watch faces available.
The big improvement for me on this one is the ecg for detecting arterial stiffness and heart problems. It’s been signed off for eu use and works well. It did detect something that could be an issue but with change of lifestyle has improved.
There are lots of features ussual sports trackers including gps. There’s no need to take your phone with you for the gps tracking to work. Each activity gives lots of info incl a map of your exercise route. Peak and average heart rate, cal burnt, elevation and spo2
It also looks good and lots of different watch faces. You can add apps from the huawei health app but they are limited in number and will depend on the model of watch.
You will have to download the huawei health app to manage the watch, customise it and track your workouts. You can set your height/weight and it works out your stats with that in mind. E. G. Someone weighing 100kg will burn more calories doing the same distance than someone that ways 70.
The battery life is great it can easily last a week. With a bit of tinkering with the settings you can easily get 14 days.
When connected to ypur phone you can get notifications but replies are limited to saved quick replies or emojis. The find your phone is a brilliant little app to.
Had a huawei watch, happy i chose it again. Recommended
PAIRING AND INITIAL SETUP
I have a Samsung Z Fold 3 phone and the initial setup and pairing was quite laborious and tedious. It took a while to get the app to pair, after downloading newer versions, creating an account, re-signing in several times, verifying, downloading other apps, enabling permissions that were supposed to have already been enabled, etc. It all felt extremely clunky compared to Samsung and Fitbit.
Once paired, I found still more apps were needed for other functions, such as the ECG and then the watch itself ran two updates, each taking around 15 minutes which meant I couldn’t play around with the settings yet.
HUAWEI HEALTH APP
The Huawei health app is the main app you’ll use to interact with your watch and to view your watch’s data. Once it is set up, the UI is quite pleasant and intuitive. The data is presented in a useful way and it’s more indepeth than either Samsung or Fitbit offered me (even with Fitbit premium membership).
You can change your watch face via this app and they’ve added a category for free watch faces now.
As well as the presentation of the usual health data (heart rate, SpO, steps, exercise logs, stress levels, weight, sleep, skin temperature), it also has an ECG function and an arterial stiffness monitor.
They also offer health plans you can follow and a community.
THE WATCH
The materials and design are excellent. Mine came with a nice grey leather strap which I’ll use for certain occasions but which I’ve replaced with a silicone strap I bought on Amazon for everyday use and workouts. The mechanism to replace the strap is fairly straightforward.
The screen is smooth and does not pick up fingerprints easily. The crown is satisfying to use.
The sensors are smooth and sit comfortably on my wrist.
Battery life is fantastic (I had to charge each day with Fitbit) and even with all of the features on, I am sure I’d get at least two days, probably more out of this watch.
The speaker is incredible for the size.
WATCH SOFTWARE AND APPS
HarmonyOS seems to run very smoothly. There’s never any lag. The watch detects when I raise my arm to view it much more efficiently than my Fitbit did and the addition of the always on display option is ideal.
The workout tracker is good. All the information I need is present to see. Fitbit’s workout tracker screen didn’t even show me the current time! This watch tells you when you are engaged in fat burning, aerobic and anaerobic activities, displays current heart rate, timer for workout, calories burned and the current time.
I found the auto workout detection for walking to be poor. It engages after about 10 mins but the step counter seems accurate.
I can control the music playing on my phone, take calls, see notifications and use quick replies. I can navigate using Google Maps (after installing a Huawei app on my watch and phone that syncs with it). I can see the weather, use a stopwatch or timer, see the moon phase, take my temperature, monitor my heart rate, run an ECG, check my blood oxygenation levels, do breathing exercises, use a compass, set an alarm etc.
The 3rd party apps are limited. Some music and fitness apps and some navigation apps and puzzles and a calculator. But it has all of the features I personally need.
I’m only missing NFC payment option and then it would be ideal.
The built quality of this watch is amazing, with sapphire glass and steel body making it stand out as a really premium looking watch that everyone at the office keep asking me what it is.
NFC I believe is not available, but I have noticed that Revolut launched on the HUAWEI App Galery. Anyone know, if is going to support payments?
I haven’t had time to explore all the workout plans, but outdoor run and cycling work perfectly, I believe heart-rate monitoring is also upgraded as it is feeling way more accurate than GT2 Pro and my wife’s FitBit Sense.
Lots of free and really good lookong faces. Watch is not heavy. You feel it on the wrist, but not in an overwhelming way. After couple of days you won’t know it’s there.
Battery is impressive. Charging took around 30min for ~60% of battery, from around 35-40%. With all sensors enabled and normal run, calling from the watch couple of times, all day notifications, fiddling with it here and there, it lasts a decent 12 days.
So far so good. Worth the money!
Update 1: 100+ workout exercises and basketball is not one of them!!! Really? :)))
It has shuttlecock, and softball, but NO basketball!!!! You will need to spend some time to find the type of workout u usually go through as the classification is somewhat weird.
Update 2: 1 month has passed since owning the watch. I charged it on the 12th day of ownership and lasted 18 days (15%) I think I could have squezeed 20 days. This time I disabled temp skin sensor, SPo2.
