The lawnmower works really well, I have only 1 little niggle there is 2 screws that protrude through the deck from below and the only protection I have is 2 little rubber stoppers that come off quite easily. Other than that lovely mower thanks.
Great mower for the price, good features, side ports, grass collector and hose clean etc, but the pull chord is a poor design, if you pull the chord to start all the way when doing it, you are pulling the chord against a sharpish plastic part. and mine snapped the chord in the first season of use. IT was fairly easy to mend, but a pain to have to. I am now only pulling the start 90% of the way to prevent stressing the end point. Hopefully that will stop it snapping again?? Otherwise a great mower. Very pleased.
Unboxed the item well packed easy to put together and get started did actually watch a YouTube video did make it a lot easier. 3 hight options so grass cutting size. Yeah over all a 4/5.
Great mower,cuts very well,first use a little hard to start but just needed to prime a little more but once started cut the lawn in record time,not to heavy for older person to handle,very pleased and would recommend.
I used this mower to cut grass and weeds almost 1 meter high in an old neglected garden. The machine cut through the grass with ease but the outlet would sometimes get blocked with masses of grass. Stop, clear out, and start again with a single pull of the cord.
Great all round well made mower although be aware quite heavy so not ideal for small tight spots. The outlet into the grass box blocks easily with longer or damp grass so you end up changing a lot or mulching because it is blocked, that said it is very good at mulching
I chose the manual start over the push button but I am not disappointed. It arrived on time well packaged with clear instructions on assembly. It was very easy but there is a helpline if problems occur and you tube demo that can also be accessed. After filling with oil (also provided) and fuel first pull and away we went beautiful cut…..a very sturdy machine with a 3 yr guarantee comes with large collection bag but also can be used without via back and side ejectors. The machine is stunning to look at so cannot wait for my neighbour to view the dazzle of blue when he has boring red
Love the fact this is so big although it does have its drawbacks as can be difficult to move around.
Only had it a few days but all seems great.
Easy to install and pout together and all paperwork supplied makes sense.
Would recommend it.
Used this for the first time today. Started straight away and it feels like a very sturdy machine. Easy to clean with the hose attachment.
Actually enjoyed cutting the grass agai
I liked the he solid appearance and the fact that the mower started fairly easily.
There had been been some minor damage in shipping but the after sales chap responded very promptly and a replacement part is on its way to me. The wider cut and large grass box means time is saved when cutting a large lawn.
Got this yesterday and I made it up today which was easy to do for me all I need is the weather to be a bit drier so I can cut the grass now
We have around 0.5 acres of lawn, some of which is on a steep slope. Having tried other lawnmowers without success we are really happy with this one.
It makes light work of the slope. I like to push for the exercise, but when it gets too much I use the self propelling function. Even on wet grass on a steep bank it copes well.
The mulching function is great and is also perfect for getting long wet grass cut short enough to mow properly, without clogging the bag.
It is so much quicker than our old mower which required emptying much more.
The tank is also large enough to cut a whole lawn and more, which is great.
Lovely mower. Powerful 196cc engine and starts with ease. Looks well made, time will tell how reliable it is? But impressed with it so far.
Love the mulching function. No more grass cuttings to deal with as they get chopped up finely and fed back into the lawn.
Only had it a few days but its a Really powerful machine, took some getting used to after my manual electric mower but it really makes short work of my large lawn, starts really easily. So far so good
Easy to assemble and set up. Well built from quality materials. runs and cuts well. awkward to use in restricted areas but then its quite a big mower. The lever that controls the drive is a long way from the hand grips making engagement awkward. I can’t reach it without taking my hand off the bars.
I had also ordered a large bottle of four stroke oil for the mower from Amazon but found when my mower came the oil was included. The mower was straightforward to put together and the instructions self explanatory. With having a large 70lt grass box I could cut much quicker than before. The machine is very quiet for its engine size and had no trouble on the front lawns slope. I went to register the mower straightaway as there is a three year warranty and found all I had to do was record when and from whom I purchased it. I was very impressed by the machine and hopefully it will provide me with years of service. This lawnmower seems very good value for money and given I have two large lawns it made light work of them. I would definitely recommend this mower.
The mower was very easy to assemble and started very easily on the first pull. We bought this in advance of moving house to a property with a very large garden where I’m sure it will be highly suitable. Not suitable for a smaller garden as I find it very hard to manoeuvre and turn corners.
In summary- superb for a large garden but too heavy to manoeuvre around a smaller garden. Great value and very solidly built.
After writing the above I went and bought a small Flymo to use until we move. After several weeks sitting idle the mower again started on the first pull when I just thought that I had better turn the engine over as it’s not been used since I got it. Even more happy with it now, looking forward to getting to use it when we move.
Hyundai now need to set up a spares web site ASAP. I expect to be able to find the appropriate product with an associated schematic that allows me to drill down to the part and part number. The part number is essential to ordering the right part. Hyundai need to sharpen up the whole process, I am yet to receive an order email confirmation. A lengthy but ultimately rewarding (knowledgeable people told me getting Hyundai spares is impossible) process.
I have used this mower about 8 times over the summer and it has performed flawlessly and cuts extremely well. Starts every first or second pull and even though the grass box looked a bit smaller than my old mower it seems to compact the grass very well meaning that for my 70m by 12m lawn I only need to empty it a few times for a bi-weekly cut during summer. The self propulsion is very good with excellent grip by the large back wheels, the speed is a bit slow for my liking but I notice that other reviews have said it’s a bit fast, so that means they have probably got it about right. The build quality seems good. Highly recommended.
1. The instructions don’t make clear how much oil you need to put in at all. It has a dipstick, and I used this to check the level but as anyone knows – dipsticks are NOT accurate. Also, thankfully the second time I used the mower, I checked the level and it had gone to zero although last time it was full, I had to put more oil in, and same thing happened next time…. anyway, I have ended up putting in the whole bottle supplied. If the instructions had just stated that …I would have poured in the whole 600ml bottle supplied my life would have been better and SAFER.
2. the small holder for the recoil cable can end up pointing the wrong way (this would snag/break the recoil cable). It took a lot of effort from me to ensure the hole is parallel to the bars, and for a consumer product – this ought to be simpler
3. Attaching the handle cables is not that hard but also not at all straightforward. I could imagine lots of people getting it wrong which would cause major issues.
None of the above mentioned are issues for mechanics, specialists or engineering brains like me, but it would be an issue for the average consumer…and an error in any of them could have major consequences – that render the mower junk. I can see one reviewer who broke the recoil chord, there are others whose only worked once – can probably be attributed to the above points. So if you are buying this mower – please do. It is excellent, but be careful with the points above.
If you are the Hyundai seller of this mower, then please get a novice to set this up with the instructions, from boxed, and then you might be able to add in some information to the box to ensure there are fewer problems.
Good budget mower with a decent engine and running gear, lacks a diecast ali deck and variable speed but that would increase the price. Worth the money paid

Cuts well. Good power. Nice to have self-propelled version. Heavy so much better on long runs as not particularly maneuverable. (a) the primer I think needs to be depressed quite deep as otherwise it feels just like air as doesn’t push any petrol through and (b) the oil cap is one of those ones that does not click shut securely and comes off under vibration. Really annoying. Just trying to but a new one as the current one got shredded.. I think design fault and so will tape the replacement when it arrives.
That said, it monsters through work and side chute accessory works really well if you are not needing to collect.
Height adjustment single function is good.
From delivery direct from the manufacturer (ordered via Amazon), to it’s packaging, instructions and assembly this is awesome.
It got it’s first run out today, collecting around 250 litres of grass. It’s maneuverability, settings, cutting, collecting and efficiency arevbrilliant.
It is important to mention that it is very heavy and I needed to move it across patches if gravel which wasn’t a problem but wasn’t easy. If you have to do something similar and have mobility problems it would be best to bear this mind. Uneven ground, hills and around trees, however were absolutely no problem due to the easy-to-control motor.
We have about 0.3 of an acre over three very different (in size, design and nature) stretches of grass surrounding our home and chose this over a “ride-on” mower. I definitely made the right choice as it is more versatile, maneuverable and easier to maintain. Oh, and way cheaper!! Does the job impressively.

Easy to assemble and once oil and fuel started first time.
Compared to previous mower quite a slow drive and heavy on tight turns where drive is not really possible. Over 30 minutes of use without gloves the drive control handle began to feel uncomfortable as it is a flat not round section like holding a blunt knife blade. Easily corrected by wearing gloves or wrapping some foam around the section.
Overall a nice mower which cuts well.
I read the reviews for this mower and was alarmed at some of the negative comments to a point I was considering canceling my order. I am pleased I did not. The product arrived with a two man delivery from Amazon. The guy’s kindly took the box to the rear of my house. You will need help in lifting the machine out of the box. It is heavy. Included in the box is the machines oil. This was not mentioned when purchasing the machine so consequently I bought new oil prior to delivery. Never mind it will keep. Assembly was easy and quick just follow the instructions and guide notes attached to the machine. Be careful when putting oil into the machine it does not take a full bottle as supplied take it easy and check repeatedly until fill level is reached on the dip stick. After putting fresh petrol in. The machine started with the first pull. It as continued to start first time throughout my first lawn cut. In summing up for the money under 300 it’s a well made good looking machine that is comparable with machines costing 3 times the cost.
Feels well built, starts at the first time and very powerful. I was surprised how heavy it is. You should consider this if you have many trees and will have to pull mover back. But saying this I’m a girl, for men it probably wouldn’t be an issue.
Self propelling struggles on the lowest setting if lawn is a bit bumpy like mine.
And one more thing which found annoying is that again on the lowest setting and bumpy lawn side discharge chute keeps falling off. But it’s not a problem if you have your mover set on a higher setting or you have perfectly level lawn.
Quite like indicator on a grass bag, no need to stop and check if it’s full.
Overall very happy with product and the seller.

This is one beast of a mower, I’d recommend this for large gardens only. I’ve not had it running yet because I didn’t want to have to ‘ winterize ‘ for the start of the season ( empty fuel out blah d blah ). First impressions are good, build quality looks sound ( all the labels are straight ), easy to assemble, instruction book is in english only, so you don’t have to thumb through a multi language book ! I’m not a fan of bending over the handle bars to save space, I find it can damage the cables, so I’d disconnect them first. Single lever height control works well, all the bits are there for your 4-1 opps, I took the blade off to sharpen I think they loctite it at the factory because it was a bit of a struggle.
Overall I’m happy so far, can’t wait to try it out, there is one thing I didn’t like…………………in the package there is a leaflet from Hyundai saying you can claim a free gift if you leave a good review………..mmmmmm not sure about that.
Liked the price and needed to get a replacement for our 10 year old mower.
Starts easily but usually have to pump the red fuel thing twice first – which is not what is suggested in the instructions.
Very heavy compared to our old one and takes some getting used to.
I have found that by clamping the throttle to the handle with one hand and then using the other hand to activate drive gives good control so I can easily disengage drive to steer round, reverse etc. My wifes smaller hands find this difficult.
The drive isn’t fast but a slow amble with can also be a bit annoying – and doesn’t make the hour and quarter mowing happen any faster!
Final thing – highest cut is not very high – so not for scrubland type work – and the height adjuster is very easy to use.
The mower arrived very well packaged with a bottle of oil included. Assembly was simple and amounted to nothing more than the handle, cables and grass box, which was completed in minutes without the need for any tools. No complaints about build quality either.
The engine runs smoothly and relatively quietly for a big mower. The mower was very easy to use and cut the lawns beautifully.
The best bit for me was the performance of the grass box. It collected every little blade of cut grass which is something my previous mower was poor at. The large box meant far fewer emptyings and the great little box-full indicator worked perfectly meaning I didn’t have to keep stopping to check if the box was full.
I loved the hose connection to wash the underneath of the deck which took about 10 seconds.
My only small gripe is that the owners manual could be better. It doesn’t read in any sort of chronological order with the assembly instructions coming half-way through and no mention of the hose-wash feature or how to use it. At the end of assembly I was left with two plastic lugs which again had not been mentioned. I think they are to put in place to hold the rear flap slightly open when using the rear-discharge option but still not sure.
However I’m not going to let the owners manual detract from what is a well designed and great performing mower, hence the 5 star rating.
I decided not to pay extra for the push-button start, which is no problem for me as the engine starts effortlessly first pull, making this a great mower for a bargain price. Highly recommended.
I had to get a new mower, as my old one stopped working after many years of faithful service. I have a Hyundai car which I love, so I went for Hyundai because of the brand. I chose a 51 cm cutting width as my garden is fairly large and I wanted a self propellered one. I did not go for self starting, as I felt maybe that was one thing that might break after a while and I didn’t feel it was worth the extra money. When the mower arrived this morning, I was so excited I had to assemble it straight away – very easy to do. Oil and petrol in and the mower started immediately like a dream. The self propellering system worked perfectly. The only couple of things my old mower had which this one does not, is that the grassbox is smaller on the Hyundai, and also the handle is not easily collapsible for easy storage (at least I couldn’t find a way to do it). Now I just have to see how it’s going to prove itself over the summer – I think I’m going to love it!
