It did the job which charged devices so quick but the battery itself gone so quick as well. Every 100% could only charge about 3 times for my 40% mobile to above 90%. I had another same capacity charger could do way better than this, so maybe the quick charge function uses the battery too.
Honestly this is the best power bank I own. Doesn’t hold as much juice as some of the bigger dudes but it will still charge your phone fully 2-3 times and it’s small enough to keep in your pocket. Perfect for keeping your phone charged on a day out
The little phone stand and torch are a nice bonus too
Seriously buy this. Buy it now.
Pros
– slim and lightweight
– great to be able to have a display of how charged it is
Cons
– take a very long time to actually charge – tools over and hour to charge from 84% to 100%. If you totally run this down it will take hours to get back up to 100%
First impressions out of the box was very good.
Slim and great finish, reading at 52%out of the box,I put it on a usb-c charger and within 90 minutes was up to 100%.
I used usb-c output to charge my IPhone 15 Pro Max from 50%,phone to 80% within 40 minutes, pack started trickling charge the phone as the charging indicator on the pack display went off, however charging continued at a slower rate and within 90 minutes phone was at 100% and pack was 68%.
Like I said this is an impressive battery back and I am looking forward to long and useful service from it.
Nicely packaged with a see through carry purse and a usb-c to usb-cord enclosed.
It would enhance the experience if it came with the short multiple usb cord instead, just suggesting.
All in all I am very pleased with this purchase.
I have no hesitation in recommending it.
Have had power banks before but this has been the best , actually has a percentage counter light on it so you can see exactly how much is left instead of relying on guesswork. It holds its charge for such a long time, I only keep it in my bag for emergencies , I last charged it before Christmas , it’s now the 6/2/2024 and it still has 100% on it .
Bought to charge phone and cycling lights when out and about on long rides. The unit provides plenty of power for a couple of full phone charges and light recharges. Also very handy if you’re out and about using your phone to take lots of photos or videos – a quick top-up while you’re having a cuppa will ensure your phone doesn’t run out of power.
Bought 2 as my daughter nicked mine and keep it in the car as an extra precaution as I use my phone maps when I visit people. Living rural too gives me the confidence to go out knowing I have a spare couple of charges. Quick to charge. Can get 3 full charges for my phone from it.
This is great so far I’ve had no issues, charges my devices at a decent speed. Slim, light weight and added bonus has a built in torch. A great purchase.
The USB c port works both ways so as long as I charge my Quest 3 from that it drains the battery, not the Quest. Wish it had longer life but that’s on me going with the 10 000 MaH version and I would say it doubles the life of the Quest so I’m happy 🙂
Weight is great and the Capacity is enough for me. The only disadvantage that USB-A ports don’t support fast charge with my phone (OnePlus Nord CE 5G)
So I have to take an additional type-c to type-c cable to travel.
I’ve bought charging bricks from Amazon before and although they are useful I rarely used them because they recharged so slowly (about 6-8 hours for a 10,000 mAh) and also charged the phone slowly.
This one is a fast charger and fully charges in less than 2 hours and also provides a fast charge capability to my Samsung S20 Ultra.
It’s performance is so good that I now use it as my main daytime phone charger instead of using the 25W plug-in charger.
I just charge it once for a couple of hours then use it to charge my phone throughout the day thus avoiding leaving the plug in charger on all day and night.
‘Absolutely Fabulous” value for money and great performance.
Handy if you’re going somewhere where there’s little access to power, but to actually charge the thing in the first place takes a good couple of hours. I almost fully charged my phone twice using this, so it does hold plenty of juice.
I forgot to mention that it does charge my phone quickly.
Power bank is very light weight easy to carry . I used for usb rucksack to charge mobile and headphones . If does the job well charging time is fast . I am satisfied
This is such a handy charger, and came in very useful when outer flight was delayed, we managed to charge both phones at the same time and still had plenty of battery power left.
Borrowed this charging pack from a colleague when on a shoot to charge my phone. Was so impressed that I bought one myself. Only slight thing is that the usb sockets and cable that come with it are not iphone compatible, so still have to carry a separate cable with me. Not much of a problem, but would be even handier if the product could charge apple products without need of another cable.
I just got this today, I got an iphone 11 and its around the same thickness and height just a bit shorter, it’s also isnt too heavy and is pretty light weight. So before I bought this, other reviews did say the screen would say it was at 188% which I also had the same issue but it doesn’t effect the charging power of the battery it self.
In 10 mintues:
Phone battery before 81% – Phone battery after charging with the battery for 10 minutes: 85%
And the battery pack only went down by 1% so it’ll last a long time without needing to be charged
Recommend? Yes
Really good battery charger with added bonus if showing a digital remaining charge on the front.
Comes with a cable to charge it and a case for the battery pack.
Compatible with all standard phones just plug in your own charging cable, the charging speed from charger to phone was pretty good as long as your not using your phone while it’s on charge. Could get a good 25% battery life back into the phone within about 10mins or so.
Don’t let it totally discharge it did seem a lot slower to charge back up when totally discharged but generally few hours plugged in and it’s good to go again.
Slim and lightweight to fit in your pocket.
The power arrived with an 82% charge a carry pouch and a USB A to USB C lead with both ends protected with plastic cabs. The power bank looks well made. It’s the thickness of a iPhone 14 with a case on and slightly smaller than the iPhone screen.
Just got it so I will have to see how it goes
This power bank is brilliant, it charges phones and Kindles incredibly fast and can cope with charging two at a time too. I was so impressed by my original purchase, two years ago, that I bought 3 more for family members.
However, for some reason it has stopped working. It will not charge my phone. The cable will charge when attached to a wall charger, but the power bank won’t charge my phone or Kindle for some reason. Very sad, especially as it was brilliant for two years.
I am highly impressed with the customer service for this product. Initially, I wrote in a review critiquing the power bank because I noticed it was not charging my phone and smartwatch overnight, when I predominantly used the power bank for camping trips with no access to a power outlet. The customer service I received was exceptional. The team reached out, explaining that this power bank may not be best suited to my smart watch and they sent me a new power bank within 2 business days which was compatible with my phone and smartwatch. I also charged my smartwatch fully on the new power bank, and it only drained 2% from the power bank itself. I feel a lot more confident with this portable charger when on camping trips for items such as smartwatches, bike lights etc. and I’ll stick to my original portable charger, see images above, for my phone charging only. I love the features such as pop out phone stand, something I’ve not seen on any other portable charger, and it comes with a handy short cable and case. I recommend buying with this company – they proactively sorted my issue and showed a true commitment to delivering customer value. I’ll be coming back to them for future charging devices, and recommend them to friends.
Bought at just under 13 in early 2023 primarily for android phones with USB-C connections.
This is probably the best 10,000 mAh portable battery I have at the moment, it’s light-weight and a good size to fit into the frequent-access compartment in my backpack. It’s also similar size to my phone so I can hold them stacked together to use while charging.
This battery does fast charge devices which minimises tethered cable time – this is essential to me when on the move.
The 10,000 mAh battery capacity size is often the largest size permitted on most airlines.
The % display is concise and is reliably accurate, it’s fairly bright and the digits pulse when the battery is on charge to show that it’s working.
It comes with a short USB-A to USB-C cable which fits conveniently into the supplied travel pouch.
The pouch is well-made, big enough for ease of use and has holes which lets the heat out when the battery is in use.
The battery does warm up as expected during normal use, but not as much as my phone.
The built-in light is bright and is easy to operate with one hand.
The pull-out device holder clicks at predefined positions and works well for devices with cases up to 10 or 11mm, but not quite big enough for my main device which is 15mm thick when the case is on. Not sure if there’s a design limitation to have a wider gap but this would be a minor suggestion for future models.
The build quality feels solid, but one of the USB-A ports on one of my three batteries feels uncomfortablely stiff when I plug in the cable, everything still works though so hopefully it’s just snug – will try to remember to update this review if it fails.
Overall I would happily recommend this battery at this price point for frequent travellers.
My predecessor, an Anker 10,000 mAh in the same shape, failed after a few years (the LiPo cell self-discharging), so I thought to buy another, but there are precious few in this brilliant slim pocketable form factor – and so I happed across the INUI.
A step up in features, 18W in and out. Simultaneous power to two (or maybe three?) devices. Input OR output by USB-C. An apparently really decent digital State-of-Charge indicator. Pass through charging for when you’re in a tight spot with respect to leads and outlets. A built in LED torch. Great stuff, a pleasure to own.
As for energy, 10500mAh (38.8Wh) is in single-cell-voltage terms, 3.7V, just like the cell in your mobile phone, so the mAh are directly comparable. What matters most is the 38.8Wh, the energy, and efficiency This thing doesn’t waste much energy in heat. Have a 3100mAh 11.47 Wh phone? Expect three big charges or lots of top ups.
Be mindful if using on of those digital USB meters, you must remember that these power banks can step up the voltage to reduce the current, outputting up to 12V in PD/QC modes. At 5/9/12V modes the currents in the cable are only 74 / 41 / 31% of the currents in the cell itself. Folk misunderstanding this might think the power bank is well below spec, but IMO it is spot on delivering the rated energy at the rated speeds too. It’s just that you really need to think in terms only of 3.7V equivalent mAh, or Wh.
EDIT:
My first unit failed within a couple of months and after only a handful of uses. Would go through the motions of charging, but output nothing at all, wouldn’t even light its own torch LED. Any time I tried charging it it was always the same, started again from 0%, gradually increasing, but no output and the next day it’s the same, not even a display unless I try to charge again from zero. So now have to find out how to claim on warranty, not even registered yet as hadn’t written a review.
EDIT #2:
Credit to the company, though it took a few days to get a response, a replacement was promptly sent free of charge (after I’d already bought myself another unit from another supplier and brand). The INIU replacement appeared new and pretty much identical, though the LED readout seemed a little dimmer than I remembered.
After a couple of cycles I did some capacity tests on the new INIU and my other new AUKEY power bank.
The results were almost identical in terms of energy delivered (at 10 W rate) or energy accepted to recharge (at 17 or 12 W fast recharge rates *). That disappointed me because the INIU has a 5% higher claimed capacity. According to my observations there was about twice as much heat dissipation charging as discharging, in for both units. Based on that we can interpolate the likely cell capacities as 9,916mAh INIU and 10,016mAh AUKEY. So, pretty much 10,000mAh in both cases. The claimed extra 500mAh of the INIU seems to be specmanship or exaggeration. It’s only 5% but it irks.
* The other interesting comparison was charge rates. Using the same 18W QC3 charger, lead and meter, the INIU charged at 17W from 12V, whereas the AUKEY unit only charged at 12W from 9V. From the specs you’d expect both to charge at 18W, with the INIU capable of 20W from a charger that could deliver it. Both units seem to have over-stated their charging rates, but the INIU was significantly the faster of the two and closer to expected charge rate.
Conclusion? The INUI unit still has great form factor and functions, and is the unit I prefer to carry with me out and about. I’ve only used it heavily for about a couple of weeks, so it remains to be seen if it lasts well or fails early like the first sample. I hope it soldiers on.
