We bought this cover for our 8′ EasySet pool. It does a great job of covering the pool and keeping rubbish out.
The only issue we have is that the four drain holes are at the edges so in heavy rain the cover becomes a mini pool on top of the pool. Would really benefit from a screened hole in the centre to allow water to pass through into the pool underneath but still catch the leaves, pollen etc that builds up on the top.
Would still recommend though. Works very well.
Bought this for the Intex Family Centre paddling pool. You do have to deflate the back rest section each time you put the cover on but then It will cover the pool very well. It is a tight fit, most of it goes on all the way around pretty easily but the last bit you need to pull to stretch it on and if someone isn’t holding the opposite end it will ping off! Once on, it fits well and the bottom of the cover sits underneath the top ring of the pool. There is also the added benefit of a string drawcord which allows you to tighten the fit a little more and tie into place. I have never had a problem with the cover coming off once fitted and secured. Really impressed so far and it’s keeping the pool a lot cleaner. Reasonably priced too.
The quality of this pool cover looks very good and durable and it took me and my 6 year old child about 10 seconds to put it on the pool. Tightens nicely and looks sturdy. We have a 6ft pool (diameter at the top of the pool) and bought the 8ft cover; it fits perfectly. Very happy with this.
This fits the 3.05 metre pool well, with room to spare to tuck the edges over the inflatable bit. It has a drawstring that you can tie off as well. The holes in it are nearer the edge than the smaller one we had (on a smaller pool obviously) which is good because it lets less water from the pool through them.
Really nice, quality item. I like the colour as well.
Product is fine. Had an issue with next day delivery which the seller kindly rectified. I bought this to cover the Lidl 10ft (3m) quick-up pool and works well with it.
Very impressed with the size and quality of this pool for the price , I bought the cover separate, u can also attach a filter to it if u want really cool pool
This isn’t a cheap item, its good quality and very durable, will last for years
Last cover has managed 8 years in the sun before it needed replacement.
Fantastic value for money. It’s a vinyl material, so much better than the shoddy material I’ve had in the past that just falls apart. Fits perfectly. Left it in the sun to soften before putting on, made it so much easier for one person to do. So happy with it. Great value for the price
Seems good quality but bought for the straight sided pool instead of easy up and it doesn’t fi
Covers easily and has a tie to tighten in place around the inflated pool top. Stays in place we’ll but sits on the water. Keep all the bird stuff out and that was our main concern.
The pic sites my Intex 8ft and this cover which I bought for it. It isn’t easy getting the cover on and there is some manipulation to do but you get there in the end. Material has breath holes in it for safety reasons and the material floats on the water and tightens with a cord.
This pool cover is excellent and stops all the debris from going into the water when not in use. It also helps keep the water at a reasonable temperature when the sun shines onto it. It’s easy to put on and remove.
It easily covers my 10ft pool. Keeps most of the bugs and leaves out. It has a drawstring, but if its very windy it can be blow off. Not completely tight fit.
I can recommend this product for your intex pool but dropped a star as in the heat sometimes the top of the pool can deflate ever so slightly and then the cover can come off in sections and end up in the pool.
If the top of the pool is fully inflated it doesn’t tend to shift so just something to watch out for.
These pools do take an age to empty and clean, so ideally wants it is up you want to keep it up for as long as possible. This cover together with the chlorine tablets keeps it clean for longer.
I’ve bought pool covers before that are literally just thin tarp and total rubbish. But this one is much better, made of durable vinyl.
My pool is 6ft, and unfortunately I cannot find a cover for this size. So I bought this 8ft one and figured that I can just use some bungee cord to secure it if need be. Well, I’ve not needed to do that yet as the drawstring secures it no problem – though in windy weather it might be good to have some bungee cord on hand, if you’re using this for a smaller pool.
It is well made and arrived quickly. It has helped keep next doors flowers and seeds from their trees out of the pool. Only down side is the 4 drainage holes. I now there are essential to allow rain water in but they have let in the mosquitos etc in to lay eggs. As the chlorine tablets (bought separately) are rubbish I now have as many larvae in the pool as in my pond so I have taped the holes up.
So, reading the review it’s very hit and miss but I’ll put it straight.
1. Get the size that suits your needs. It does and will fit for the size.
2. It’s a tight fit but it stretches, well the outer ring stretches but don’t be to forcefull with it just put over the pool/Spa whatever and go round stretching it over and keep going and going, it will stretch eventually.
3. The draw string is pretty useless, well I couldn’t pull tight enough without the feeling of ripping or breaking the string but as explained before it’s a very tight fit anyway so shouldn’t be a problem, unless you get high winds then well it’s gonna come off.
I’ve had it on about a week with no problems apart from really, really strong winds
I bought an 8ft Intex family swim centre and needed a cover for this. Due to the paddling pool having a back rest going the width of the pool, I thought a 10ft pool cover would probably be best due to the shape. As you can see from the picture it covers perfectly and we are really pleased with it. Due to the size, we haven’t had issues others have had with the holes on top allowing stuff to drop through thankfully.
The only ‘negative’ is that there is only drawstrings on the front rather than the back too so we can only anchor down one end, when the weather gets windy the cover picks up from the back and it comes off the pool entirely. We understand that might be more to do with the shape of our pool, but if they had drawstrings at the back, this would make a perfect pool cover.
Nevertheless, we are extremely happy with it and fully recommend it.
Fits the Intex 8ft pool perfectly.
Easy to put on and take off on my own.
Yes it has holes and does sit on the water. But that stops it from sweating underneath.
Has kept the water warm also for my grandson.
Pool ring keeps deflating, not sure if the cover is not helping with this.
Yes some flowers have got in pool due to holes. We have a six month cleaning fuid in pool along with chlorine tablets. Has kept pool clean since last Friday.
Good purchase for the price. Much better than the rectangular one we had on the Intex metal frame pool for three years. That was a nightmare to get on and off with no holes. The rain, leaves, insects and everything would fall I to pool when taking off!!
Would purchase again and recommend. Fits the Intex 8ft easyset pool perfectly.
It fits perfectly and seems strong enough to last a while and keeps the leaves out…but with the slightest shower it sinks below the surface leaving inches of water on top of the cover. So what you say? Well most of the the heat going out of your pool is by evaporation, and having a large pool size layer of water on top of the cover means it does little to reduce the heat loss in this manner. Fortunately there is a solution. I had some spare Jiffy foam wrap. Cut an approx pool size piece to fit and floated it on the surface then fitted the cover. Problem solved. Would be nice if they made the cover of something that did not sink in water.
After reading all the negative reviews of this (and other) pool covers on Amazon I was dreading purchasing one but needed one desperately for my 8 foot Intex pool. In the end I decided to bite the bullet and go with this brand as it was the same brand as my pool and I figured I could always send it back if it was horrendous.
As it turns out, it’s not been a bad purchase. The 8 foot cover fits my 8 foot ‘Easy Set’ pool perfectly, it sits nicely under the rim and is tightened and secured with a drawstring. It’s easy to put on and remove with two people, although I can manage it on my own. The material seems like decent enough quality.
The main (and actually only) downside is that it has 18 large holes in it which honestly seems to defeat the whole object of having a cover! The holes are about the size of a ten pence piece. I understand that the water probably needs some ventilation but I’d prefer to have a hundred tiny holes rather than 18 big ones!! With that being said, I haven’t actually had any problems with leaves or bugs getting inside the pool. The only thing that has got inside is rain water (although the cover does protect most of the pool) but I do treat the water with chlorine.
Overall, as long as you get the correct sized cover (be aware it’s made for the ‘Easy Set’ pool) and make sure your pool is not placed underneath a tree, then you should be alright with this. It’s certainly not amazing but it’s done the trick for me and is reasonably priced too.
