This drinks bottle is a very pretty design with bold and bright coloured butterflies on a frosted background. It also has a liquid measure printed on the side too so I can see exactly how much my daughter has drunk whilst at school.
It feels very sturdy and well made, has a flip lock which is great when my daughter stores the bottle inside her bag as it cannot come open by itself. When the flip lock is in the unlock position the bottle opens with the push of a button and drink flows easily out of the generous sized opening. It’s never once leaked in the time my daughter has used it so the claim that it is leak proof seems accurate..
The bottle has a plastic carry handle however it’s also perfectly sized for storing in a side pocket on a backpack which is what my daughter usually does with hers.
It’s also easy to clean and the design is lasting through many washes. I always wash it by hand since we don’t have a dishwasher so I’m not sure how it would hold up being washed that way.
Overall I’m really pleased with this bottle. It’s actually my second bottle purchase from this brand. Previously my daughter used a smaller version. We still have the smaller bottle, it’s still going strong and has never leaked so I’m confident this one will be the same.
These are perfect for school bags , they don’t leak and are lovely looking bottles . We now have five of these bottles ‘

I love the feel of this material, no leak and looks secure. It is smooth, frosty kind of look and good size for a child to hold without dropping. Holds right amount of water not too much and havy and not too little. I recomand this.

These kind of bottles are so much easier to clean than ones with the silicone straws was getting sick of having to replace bottles ever few weeks !
My daughter loves her new bottle. I was sick of having to dry her reading and homework book on the radiator from leaking bottles. Got this one as I had been recommended and it’s amazing. Not had one accident yet in 2 weeks. That’s a record by 13 days.

An excellent drinks bottle for smaller hands due to its circumference being a little smaller than most other drinks bottles. Very easy to clean inside with the enclosed bottle cleaner.
The lid has a loop for hanging or carrying and the flip top operates via a quick release button which you can also lock shut too. I’ve had this bottle held upside down and shook it upside down too to test for leaks, my bottle had none at all. Impressive. The drink spout disperses your drink well without dribbles. Because of the narrow circumference I found the spout is a little too close to the edge where the lock clasp is so your lip presses against the clasp, it’s a minor annoyance rather than an issue though and it doesn’t hinder you getting your drink out at all.
It’s advertised as suitable for hot drinks!!! It’s not, it will burn your hands if you put a hot drink in as its not double walled, I tested and whilst the bottle wasn’t affected by the hot water it was far too hot to try to hold so unless you like hot drinks at room temperature I suggest giving it a miss if you’re hoping for hot drinks from this bottle. The bottle can clearly cope with hot water in it to clean inside though.
It’s a great size to pop into a bag or your car and you’ll not have to worry about spillages either (obviously you’d need to pop the lid down to prevent spillage).
I got this for my daughter to use at school and it’s a great bottle.
The lid features a good “O” ring which stops any leaks and she is very happy with it… though she did have some notes she wanted me to make for this review 🙂
1) The safety catch can be hard to open for those with small fingers
2) Pushing the button is fine, but the lid flips back with some force and can hurt your fingers if they are placed near the top.
3) Drinking from it is very easy though.
4) She loves the butterflies
I’ve put it in the dishwasher and it comes out fine though as with most of these designed bottles if you can hand wash then the “look” will probably last a bit longer.
A great water bottle for schools and any weekend outings.
I did a lot of research before buying our very first Ion8 for my then, young 4 year old daughter.
Why? Because in her short life, she has managed to work through more bottles than twice her age. Either by cracking the container, destroying the spout, damaging the lid, or even by somehow manipulating the airtight seal so that it no longer remains watertight. she’s not a particularly destructive child. She’s outdoorsy, her adventures take precedence over the care of her thirst-quenching vessel, and thus her bottles are tested beyond the inch of life they once had left before im presented with them at the end of the day.
When we purchased our first Ion8 bottle – it was a game-changer. It’s leak proof, super easy to clean, quick to dry, simple to use for little hands, water tastes fresh – not plastic-like; and best of all, it can take a beating.
Yes, it now looks worst-for-wear. vIt’s no longer the powder-touch pretty pink bottle I bought back then. It has been tested and withstood everything it has faced and is still being used today occasionally.
This bottle is identical in every way, to our very first one, with only the graphics being different. She for the most part, tends to choose non-stereotypical shades in her lunch-ware. But sometimes she has a day when she faces the world unapologetically head-on with attire matching her spirit-of-the-day. Namely, princesses, unicorns, butterflies and rainbows. For those days, this bottle is a box-ticker.
Back when I bought our first Ion8, there weren’t many highly illustrated versions. knowing that these bottles are built to last and now available in a series of eye-catching illustrations, make them all the more appealing.

I think this is a great water bottle, the materials used are really good. The plastic is frosted and seems to be of a high quality. It has a pink tint to the frosted plastic and looks really good. On top of the frosted plastic are butterflies of all different colours from pink to blue, the print on the butterflies is really good, no issues at all.
On the side of the bottle it is marked from from 100ml and 4oz up to 600ml and 17oz. Each is represented by a large pink butterfly or a small blue one. I really like this, it is a little touch but shows care and attention has been taken with the design of the water bottle.
The bottle is lead proof and the top unscrews. The top is a really deep pink, almost purple with a textured light pink rubber band around the top. To open the water bottle you need to pull down the little catch and secure it on the top of the bottle. You can then press the button and the top springs open, there is some resistance when you close the lid, I like this as it means that the top when open does not flap about loose.
An excellent water bottle, well made, thought out and the design looks really pretty.
I love Ion8 kids bottles, especially because they dont have straw and it’s much easier to clean them. In straw lots of germs can stay without even seeing them and not always we can wash the straw properly. Using multiple types of liquids (juices, water, flavoured water, etc). Straw would be not easy to clean.
This bottle is fantastic. Its sturdy, looks beautiful, is functional, it’s very easy to use. The mouthpiece is covered so no dirt/insects can access the drink and also the bottle is protected against leaks. Lid is also protected against accidental opening -there is plastic part which goes over the part of the lid to hold it tight.
Thanks to grippy stripe on the lid, it’s easy to unscrew the bottle for wash or pouring new drink in. There is even holder which fits finger so we can easily carry bottle in hand.
The pattern, print is very cute, kids definitely will love it.
This size bottle is good for school children and it’s not to big, not to small. It’s easily fit school backpack or can be carried in hand.
I really like this bottle and I think its amazing quality, its worth the price.
This is for my little Granddaughter to take to school, holds plenty enough liquid at 600mm for her, she like’s the push button flip up lid and of course the butterfly’s around the outside, feels quite solid, downside is it has to be washed by hand as it is not dishwasher safe but not a problem for me as I’m not going to be the one to wash it and my daughter don’t have a dishwasher anyhow.
I’m impressed with the high quality of this drink bottle. I got it for my three year old daughter for nursery. She was delighted for the butterfly design. It is really cute and has great detail.
I like how secure the lid is, however, it is very simple and easy to pop open the lid. The button is protected by a flip down loop and once released the button can be pressed to release the lid, making the mouthpiece accessible. It means it is completely safe and secure from leaking and getting outside germs on the bit she drinks from. It’s sturdy and robust and I think it will last a long time.
I like the hook loop. It makes attaching it or holding it easier. The grippy rim around the top is helpful, it not only adds a bit of flair to the design. But is useful to grip it whilst holding or drinking from it.
Liquid flows from the spout smoothly and steadily.
Overall very high quality.
A lovely slim size butterfly covered school drinks bottle holding 600ml of liquid , 100% leak proof and made from non-toxic BPA free plastic suitable for hot or cold drinks and our grand daughter will be using it for school . It has an hygenic flick open spout and is built to withstand a knock or two and is very reasonably priced .
I have been very impressed with the bottle having used it over the last few days.
The bottle holds a just over 500ml (so a typical soft drink bottle size) and comes with a handy and easy to use lid lock to prevent spillages The lid itself fits tightly to the bottle and does not leak at all and the side measurements are a very hand feature to have to see how much you have drunk / how much is in the bottle. The quality of the bottle is also very impressive and its thick BPA free plastic means it will not crack easily if / when dropped. The design of the butterflies is also cute too.
The only reason this is not 5 stars is that it is not recommended for dishwasher use, meaning it is slightly more tricky to sterilise. I can only assume that is is down to protecting the external design as opposed to any other issue.
