Very sturdy and the teeth are sharp.
Had it for a while and managed to use it today and very impressed.
Cuts both ways with ease and made short work of cutting some MDF which was tight up to the wall and only needed to cut out 3mm but 11″ high like hot knife to butter.
    Recommended.

Bought this when it was offered as a deal. Hubby loves it. That the handles fold over the blades when stored away is super handy. Will buy another one for myself.

Good little saw. Fine finish. I deducted a star because on the one I received I had to carefully fold the handle so as not to damage the teeth. Handles not quite aligned. Beautifully boxed and I think it would have been a lot cheaper without the box.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI hav been after one of these for ages after seeing them on youtube, and I don’t regret.

It’s great for precision cuts, small cuts and quick cuts. And as it folds it covers the blade from any damage so stays sharpe for longer.

For a diy I would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWas the only thing I could think of to remove some doorknobs that I rather thoughtlessly glued on 30 years ago.
Worked a treat without too much damage to the surrounding area
The handles fold over the blade when not in use to keep it safe and sharp, comes in a nice box also.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little saw

This is a great little folding saw that fits right in your back pocket.
It seems a little flimsy, but as long as you bear this in mind and don’t abuse it, the tool should hold up.
The finer edge gives a really nice clean cut, whereas the rougher side will cut through wood in a jiffy.

My dad is VERY difficult to buy for but this seems to be alright, he was happy with it, it’s not huge but it makes a great practical gift he’s used many times

After attending a wild wood course where this type of saw was recommended I looked through reviews and this met the needs perfectly. Fits easily into your pocket if going off looking for drift wood etc – folded it is about 6″

Thinner than your wallet, fits comfortably in your back pocket. Nice real wood handles that fold to protect you from the blades edges. Cuts quickly, super sharp, perfect for camping, gardening, breaking down firewood. I have a pocket boy but is my preferred hand saw.

A couple of friends have these saws & said they are brilliant.
    Ordered and came extremely quickly.
Already cut down an Ashtree that was growing in my hedge.
Love the way the handle folds in 2 to protect the blades & the user when not in use.
    Very compact.
    Really pleased

I bought this as a gimmick for a friend, but it turned out the be fairly decent. Better build quality than expected, and the size means it easily fits into a pocket, especially a mag pocket.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIts good for general use but the handle isn’t solid enough for serious joinery. It’s one of those tools that’s a great addition to your every day get the job done tool kit.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this because a wanted a portable Japanese-style saw, that wouldn’t catch on cloth or bags when folded, and had both rip and X-Cut teeth – to replace/complement a much smaller, lighter, retractable saw with only one kind of teeth. The new saw had to be flexible enough to cut flush if necessary.

This saw met my requirements in full. The butterfly design is secure and comfortable and the wood handles are a nice touch (plus, I labelled the rip and X-Cut sides with an in marker- obvious from the teeth but if one is thinking of other things, less so). I really did buy this, and I really do like it. It is also nicely boxed, if you are looking at it for a gift.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have been looking for a compact folding saw for my wild camping and bushcraft for a long time. I have several japenese saws in my workshop but none of them are suitable to pack into small pockets in backpacks, but this one is, it even fits into the front pocket of my walking trousers and has a neat little pouch to store it in. It folds up into its own handle so there are no sharp edges when it’s closed. It has a closed length of 16cm/6″ and has a blade length of 14cm/5″. I’ve used it to cut through branches and logs up to 4″ thick to get the perfect size for my wood stoves. Also used it to cut some plastic waste pipe and it was more than accurate enough to cuts some fiddly shapes into some laminate flooring to fit around a door frame. Very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great piece of kit and works well for portable use. The handle isnt that comfortable and unclipping to fold away is currently tough. I am hoping with more use the mechanism will loosen a little but still be able to keep locked in place for use just be easier to unlock. Overall though very good.
