It sits well on the garden fence and comes with sleek look of modern layout. It comes with options for charging. USB, sun and battery. I am thinking of another. This product so far has lived up or is living up to what it states in the information section when purchasing.

Unlike another light I bought at the same time, these are excellent.

Does exactly what the makers said it would.

The USB Charging is great during winter months (if you have a 13amp socket nearby). Been working for a few months & pleased with the quality & amount of light produced. Enough to light a wall sign & front door.

Ordered on Friday, delivered next day on Saturday without needing Amazon prime. Very pleased with my acquisition. It is superbright and very easy to install. Has four modes 1) off 2) Continous High Brightness level 3) High brightness on motion detection, followed by lesser brightness 4) Continous lower brightness.
Photos show mode 3 at lesser brightness when no motion has been detected. The light level is impressive even at lesser brightness. The tiltable Solar panel ensures that maximum solar energy is available for charging the lamp. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for I guess.

Easy to install, I have it on my garage door. Lights up at a good distance and lasted all winter with no problems. Bought another one I use when going camping – brighter than others that people have.

The lights are easy to fit, to walls or shed, and give decent light for dark corners of buildings. they stay on for about 15 second while you are in sensor range they do what there supposed to do.

Great solar light with added option to charge with USB, which is very handy in the dark winters when there is not much Sun.. On the remote control ones you also get an option of three mood light settings.. Luv them!

Good quality, lightweight and easy to install on fence, movement sensitive, great range of light tones that helps prevent light pollution for neighboring gardens but can also be adjusted to give bright light should you prefer. Very happy with product, ordered more of same.

Easy to install, hold charge really well – I have had the light for almost a year and use it outside in back garden in sensor mode. Not had to use USB charging as with the limited use it seems to be doing very well.
    Good amount of light generated
So far after winter in Scotland no need to charge as the solar panel seems to be keeping it charged even when the weather is dull.
    Great produc

As these have a optional USB port they will be great in winter when there’s little light, also purchased one with remote control for use on patio area, they also have quite large solar panels which is great..

Not cheap but does what we want without fail.
It’s water proof, the timer and sensor still work.
    Would recommend.

Nothing to dislike about this light. Well made, very simple to install and lights the area below a single garage door very well. I have it on low continuously throughout the night and the sensor wakes it up and puts it on full brightness for 15 seconds whenever it detects movement. Had it three weeks now and so far very reliable. Some dull days but still charges enough on a south facing wall to last the night and more.

It’s not quite as bright as a wired flood light but you wouldn’t expect that from a solar light. Still plenty bright enough though to comfortably light the area below the garage that I bought it for so very pleased with it so far and no running costs to worry about. It looks very smart too..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have two of these on each side of my garden, and it lights the garden up well on dusk to dawn mode, but a gentle light, not hard on the eyes, a little dimmer than the photo suggests, the side ones last all night, which is 13 hours or so at this time of the year, the back ones which get no sunlight at all last 6-8 hours, which is very good, and of course, with the USB port, you could charge them off a separate solar panel placed in more sunlight, I would prefer a warm white though instead of of the white light, but it’s ok.
There is also a bright and dim motion sensor setting too, I personally don’t use them, however they work well, and of course I don’t think you’d have much issue with battery life in this mode.

If you want to light up a big garden, then this would be quite an expensive option, but for a small one like mine they’re great, or if you just want some door lighting or motion lighting.

5.0 out of 5 stars A little bit expensive, but these are very good quality.

Using in Northern Ireland, on a south facing wall. Two screws into wall, drilled and plugged, light clips on, easy to remove. I pre-charged via USB and 2+ months later they are still getting enough charge via solar panel to keep working through the night. Light is angled straight down, limiting spread, but plenty bright enough in a dark garden. Motion detection good. LED indicator shows green when charging and red when fully charged.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe wanted a light for over our house sign – this fits the bill perfectly – sleek and modern .
Had it about 3 weeks now [ December ] – if charged on mains , the light on ” low ” [ which is still very bright } , lasts for about 14 hours – however , just charging by its solar panel , it only lasts about 1.5 hours – until about 6pm in winter . NOTE ; this is on ” continuous low ” – our house / sign needs to be seen from 30ft plus , so it is not suitable for motion detection use [ can’t comment on this function ] . So we need to mains charge if we are expecting evening visitors / deliveries – but the light slots on and off the bracket , so very easy to do . If the solar panel had charged enough to give 3 hours on low setting , i would have given it 5 stars . UPDATE – Have now tried it on motion detection function for the whole of January and February
    – have not needed to charge it up at all – solar is sufficient .

I purchased this following return of the ‘fixed’ solar as the USB did not charge properly. No hastle from seller, refund issued. I purchased this one, from same seller, was sent out very quickly. This one charged via USB easily, it has a clip panel which fixes to the destination spot to lift up and remove light to take to a power socket to charge. I am using the low, movement detection, it’s an excellent light width coverage and does not dazzle if looked at direct. The moveable solar panel is a very good idea especially in winter but only moves up and down, not side to side. I also like the fact visually, easy to see the green fully charged battery symbol and when it turns red, if there hasn’t been enough natural light to keep charged, time to unclip and charge via USB. The USB cable is not supplied, I used an old mobile phone cable which fits. This may be difficult if someone doesn’t use much technology, personally, I think a cable should be included but I am still a satisfied customer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was in-between getting electric flood lights and these ones for my courtyard. Finally decided to give it a shot (and if not, I could use them in the backyard). And this was the right choice.

They are light but well made. USB charge works well. Options are easily accessible through a single button. I have put both of them on the wall with 2 m distance and the motion detector works perfectly for both in sequence. I did not need to charge them yet (2 weeks use in November), but that is also because I use the motion detector mode. Light is bright (but not super bright) enough to reflect on the wall and surrounding.

Installation was slightly fidgety. Granted, they provided a sticker with where to drill, but you need to do that evenly or otherwise the thin lamp make it even more obvious. They did what they could, you just need to be careful.

I hope they will hold their charge long, and if not, I can do a usb charge with a powerbank (or remove and charge them at home). Still very happy with saving a fair amount from the electrician costs.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought one to try in my bathroom. Little people leave light on all the time. I pop it on outside window ledge during the day and bring it in at night. Love that I can press emergency light for it to stay on whilst having shower etc. since then I’ve bought 2 for kitchen and they work great as a team. One is placed at back door so it comes on when someone comes in from outside and the other is at kitchen door at the other end .. All one room. Brightness is amazing and it’s a great sense of security too as dog sets them off as she walks about. So no more leaving lights on when I’m out at nights. Screws aren’t in tight so it’s easy to slip them off and pop them on window ledge (south facing) I’ve spent approx 40 on these lights but if I was to buy LED a d probably be about the same price. I have 8 halogen down lights in kitchen and 5 in bathroom. Plus receiving 400 for electric this year I’d say it’s justifiable. Another major plus for me who has a lot of power cuts in the winter. If I bad weather Is due then I can charge them up before power goes off. Will be buying more to update outside security lights too. I’m also hoping they’ll last longer than if they were outside and exposed to the harsh winter nights here in Scotland.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPros: nicely bright, fairly well directed light that does a good job of illuminating the (admittedly fairly small) garden without annoying the neighbours.

The motion detection works well, would be handy to be able to change it to stay on for more than 15 seconds after activation but since the motion detector covers a fairly large area it’s not an enormous issue. You can probably see on the picture it’s installed fairly high from ground level and can pick up walking around type movement from about 12ft out.

The solar panel seems to work okay, it helpfully says how well it’s charging with a colour coded light. On this SW facing wall it’s never needed topping up via USB. I have it on the setting to stay off unless triggered, which is presumably the least demanding setting. It’s been through driving rain and moderate heat in the few weeks I’ve had it and seems to have survived so far. However, in response to other comments about it taking on water I did put a thin layer of clear silicone sealant around the seam of the solar panel on top, which didn’t look abundantly watertight.

Cons: other than the above disclaimer about the silicone sealant, seems to be working pretty well.

Installation was a bit of a pain though, there’s a sticker showing the screw placement which was helpful, but since it slots into the screws in an L shape it requires a bit of working out to get the holes in the right place if it’s somewhere where it needs to be accurately lined up (like the middle of a doorframe, as I found).

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHaving experienced a number of solar lights this one (or correctly a set of two) appealed as it had USB charging as well and the solar panel is a good size as is the LED panel. Fitting was easy and the result is even better than i had imagined. Now as soon as I open the front door the light illuminates so the PIR is very sensitive. As I’ve only just installed them I can’t say whether the USB charging will be required to top up the charge, but it’s a useful feature. There are a number of modes (see photo) but I only need it to illuminate when someone walks past.
The only negatives are very minor – the instructions are written in a slightly odd English. Make sure you keep the box as the side panel on the box has a better description of the modes than the user guide!
The other complaint is only relevant if you are (like me) a bit OCD! The lamp slots into 2 screw holes and then slides right to lock it in place. The instructions have a useful self-adhesive template with the hole markings. All good so far! But if you want to centre the light on a wall or gate and you mark the centre line and then place the hole-marking template in the middle then it will be out by about 1 to 1.5cm because of the necessity to slide the light right to lock it. So you need to allow for this 1 to 1.5cm when centering the template. No big deal and most people I suspect will either not notice it or not care but I do!
So far I can thoroughly recommend these lights.
EDIT: pleased to report that I have never needed to use USB to charge either light – solar has been sufficient. And they have been totally reliable so can really recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent solar/USB light to illuminate gates etc

Like many I was sceptical about solar powered LED garden lights. The lights arrived quickly with easy to understand instructions.

Upon arrival i charged the light units via a USB charger, full charge took around 30mins per light (instructions estimate 1.5hrs) so must of been pretty high battery levels anyway.

Within the box there are fitting screws, brick wall plugs and a screw hole template, so using a spirit level i marked and drilled the holes, once done the unit simply pushes on and looks into place by pushing down and across so install was under 10mins and can be easily fitted or removed (should you wish to charge)

I set the unit on teh 2nd option, which is dim at times of darkness (in Sept they switch on at about 2020hrs) and only go bright if motion is detected, the bright mode turns itself back to dim after 15 seconds unless teh motion (or person) remains, in bright mode there is an excellent level of light around similar to a 60w normal bulb, in dim mode the light level is a bit bright than that of a low full moon on a clear day so can see a path but not much more. These are down lighters so spread of light is quite concentrated, so fully lights up an area of around 8-10ft wide and similar in depth, so for bigger areas maybe one light per 10-12 feet (as i have done)

5 days in an they lights are lasting all night are they have still been working at sunrise, teh solar panels are a good size and i have positioned near top of fence so they get teh best of sun form all angles all day long. So far i have not needed to charge and over teh past 5 days only 1 day of bright sun, the other 4 was overcast.

Great quality look good, pretty slim and compact and not cheap or ugly to look at. They will last all night and motion detection works well and activates quickly, for once a light that will last all day (and can top up charge should the winter not offer enough light) a great buy at under 20
