Fitted light up correctly. After 6 months of bn up no working properly, sensor is full of water. And we have hardly had any rain. So light not coming on at night when I go outside.
This 50W Led Flood Light with Motion Sensor, Ip66 Waterproof Floodlight, 3000k Cool White Outdoor Floodlight, Widely Used in Garages Gardens Front Yards etc. is great! nice quality! easy to use! easy to install! nice brightness! Good value for money
Better than I thought it would be because of size. It’s better than the old bulky one. Size and style of the one is much better to look at.
THE LIGHT IS GOOD. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE A BIG BIG JOKE. THE PRINTING IS SO SMALL I COULD NOT READ ANY OF THEM, EVEN WITH A STRONG MAGNIFYING GLASS. EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO USE ONE OR TWO MORE PAGES OF PAPER PRINT ALL THE DETAILS LARGER. FOR A GOOD PRODUCT TO BE LET DOWN THIS WAY , IS A BAD IDEA.
50 Watts led flood light with motion sensor. This is a main powered light with IP66 waterproof certification, good value and save power. If you’re looking something for your back garden then this is a good value for your money. Sadly mine came damaged from one of the corners but still works fine.
Easy to install if you’re familiar with electricity otherwise seek help from a professional.
Motion sensor, day and night mode and range detection are the features you get in this flood light. Overall well made light but very short power cable. At the time of review this product was available for 15.97.
I received a lamp labelled 50W. The cable supplied is quite short (about 50 cm) so in almost all situations you will need to have a junction box and to extend the cable. The cable ends are bare (no plug) and intended for wiring into the lighting circuit but for my purposes I just fitted a plug to the cable and plugged it into the mains.
I have put this light in the front end of my garage, so it comes on when I open the garage door. The PIR is super sensitive and it comes on even when entering the garage from the other end. Sensitivity and how long it stays on for are adjustable with two knobs on the back of the PIR (these are pretty well the same on all these types of light). An additional knob controls whether it comes on when it is light or only when it is dark. My adjustments on this latter knob didn’t seem to make any difference – it tended to come on in all conditions.
It is very bright and gives a nice clear light. As it is LED it doesn’t get too hot so you don’t have to be too careful where you place it like you do with the equivalent incandescent flood lights.
All in all, this light does all that you would expect of it.
So the description states this is a:-
50w Led flood light with motion sensor, Ip66 waterproof floodlight, 6500k. Cool white outdoor floodlight, widely used in garages, gardens, front yards etc.
These are exactly what we needed, we have very similar ones in the garage. But I wanted some for the sode door also.
We have now had thus fitted near the side door as the wires were already there is was just a case of joining them together. That part I left up to the men and they litterly said it was simply take one of and put one on.
Its getting dark here early already so these Motion Spencer ones are needed.
The side door is in use quite alot and my parents are getting on, so for Safety and light these are really good.
Only small in size but packs a punch with the light.
We tilted the sensors down a bit so it catches to the end of our drive and not people on the road. Cos we don’t want it going on and off when not needed.
Its also given us a added security to the house. Lights comeing on scaring unwanted away. And also it triggers our security cameras so that’s a added bonus….

The floodlight is quite sturdy and just over 600g.
This is a good upgrade than the 10W one, and also the motion sensor.
The light now is very bright – 6500k which I wish this can be control ( the brightness ). This is now covered my whole small garden and more, however, the light can be tilted more downwards, so not too over shine or direct to neighbours.
The 3 knobs on the sensor only for time, sensing distant and lux ( light sensitivity )
I really like this floodlight. It’s decent quality, with a sealed aluminium construction. The PIR module has adjustments for sensitivity, time and Lux levels by simply rotating the dials behind the sensor.
Installation was simple, basically the usual 3 wires to connect to the mains and you’re good to go. I did however have a small issue with the holes in the wall bracket, as they are quite large, so standard sized screw heads can pop through the holes. Also, the cable attached to the light is way too short for most installations. I could get it through the wall, but it is so short that I’ve had to purchase an extra junction box to extend the cable and allow safe connection of the wires. It’s a minor issue but for the sake of a few pence more cost, it would have been a lot less hassle.
Generally I’m very happy with this light, minus the above shortcomings.
This solid looking and well manufactured movement sensor activated floodlight was fitted today with ease and is a great price. It comes with all the attachments for securing to a wall.
My electrician popped over and fitted it quickly and without any problems.
The electrical connections are typical for this floodlight with 3 wires which includes an earth, live and neutral.
The floodlight is attached to the metal bracket with 2 Allen key screws and spring washers and is secure when fully tightened up.
He even commented on the build quality and asked where he could get them from, of course I shared the link to Amazon.
He showed me the 3 dials at the back of the sensor and what they are for and left me to my own devices to fiddle with the settings until I achieve the correct sensing distance, the amount of time the floodlight stays on and whether the floodlight comes on day and night or just at night time (the light can be set to come on when it’s just getting dark if you wish and the 3 dials are all fully adjustable for exactly what you want)
As this has been installed to provide security lighting to the rear garden I’ve set it to come on at night when it senses any unwanted visitors and maximum sensing distance so it will sense movement right up to the back garden gate and fences. It will also stay on for quite some time so any intruders will not want to be lit up and provide a large area of lighting to keep our garden secure.
What I particularly like about the sensor is it rotates fully round so there is no need to be trying to fiddle with the adjustments at the back of the unit when you’re up on a step ladder! It just swivels round and the settings are there clearly marked with easy to turn dials showing + and –
Once you’ve set the dials just swivel it back around so the sensor is front facing then simply adjust the sensor box to your required field of sensing.
The sensor is also fully adjustable.
The floodlight is waterproof so no issues when it’s raining.
The lighting is rated at 50W so it uses far less energy than a standard halogen floodlight…. Our old floodlight used 150W which is triple the energy so I know that this new security light will save us money on our electric bill.
It is super bright and gives us peace of mind.
50W white: this is very bright!
I really like the ability to adjust the length of time the light stays on for and how sensitive it is to motion. Being able to choose the ambient light level isn’t so useful for me, but maybe a useful feature for others.
Minus features are the 40cm length of cable this comes with, yes it’s enough to thread through a wall etc but a little bit more would have made that job a little easier! plus the angle of adjustment on the sensor, it would have been nice to angle the sensor up a little, as when the light is angled down to avoid glare and overspill, the sensor is also angled down, limiting it’s angle of view, which is a real design oversight… which results in me having to mount it upside down with the sensor on top angled away from the light to get the angle of field I require! Also I’m assuming the motion detector works on motion not heat, as even a bush blowing in the wind sets this off.
