I have to say that I am impressed with this product, it’s easy to use and it’s fairly priced especially if you shop around, I tend to use it one in every 3 hair washes and it’s nice not to have to bugger around with dyes.
I used to have a head of gray hair – and I got sick of having to permanently dye my hair once a month. This shampoo has actually made a massive difference, after four months of use. It’s not as dark as I would like, but it’s so different! It hasn’t stained my fingernails or anything like that. I think the shampoo version is more effective than the conditioner version, but I’m unclear.
A bottle lasts just over a month for me.
It does stain surfaces if not rinsed immediately. It works great with a natural look as each hair has a slightly different tone. I use latex gloves and apply it on dry hair. I wait some 20 minutes before washing the hair twice and using conditioner. After 4 days most of the white hair is now gray and the gray hair is darker. Very nice product.
Bought this for my hubby who only has a few grey hairs – it’s absolutely amazing! He loves it, very natural colour that blends with his natural hair colour too.
David Blaine of anti-greying colour restoring shampoos.
From the first wash this got working daily use not necessary because of its efficacy. You’ll almost want the results to fade sooner because for me, my hair’s never been softer than after using this witchcraft! Plus a little goes a long way!
Fair play to the creator of this.
Full disclosure – no matter how much you try, it doesn’t work on pubes, beards or my neighbours cat.
Am I grey, yes, yes I am, do I have much hair on the top, no, no I don’t so it just seemed to me that I might try using this to take the edge off my greyness and wash my hair and this it does, I think that if I had longer hair it would look more effective as appose to taking the edge off. It feels like a decent shampoo and the price was cheap compared to the local shop so can’t be anything other than happy with the price. It will likely do a decent job of taking the edge off the grey and not looking unnatural, so a reasonably good job at a fair price.
This product does what it says perfectly plus it does it with pretty natural way. It reduces greys gradually and just gives you fresh look after couple of times using. It’s easy and so useful product. My husband loved it and don’t think he will stop using it in the future ! Definitely recommend it.
I only had a few greys coming through the fringe but they were starting to come through much quicker so tried this. It doesn’t completely get rid of them but it makes them hard to notice and seems to have slowed them down so I’m pleased with the results.
I have dark blonde hair as well so I didn’t think this would do much as seems it would be better for brown/black hair. It does stain fingernails so I use gloves and also make sure to wash it off the tiles and curtain after. Good price so I will use more when it runs out.
I recently tried the CGX Grey Reducing Shampoo, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed with the results. As someone who has been dealing with premature greying for a while, finding a product that actually delivers on its promises has been a real challenge. However, CGX has come to the rescue with this innovative shampoo. First and foremost, the shampoo’s scent is pleasant and not overpowering, making it a delight to use in my daily routine. The texture is smooth and easy to apply, creating a rich lather that cleanses my hair effectively without stripping it of its natural oils. What truly sets CGX Grey Reducing Shampoo apart is its ability to gradually reduce grey hair over time. It’s not a quick fix, but rather a long-term solution for those looking to embrace their natural hair color again. I’ve been using it daily for the last week, and I’ve noticed a noticeable reduction in the visibility of my grey hairs. It’s a subtle change, which is exactly what I was hoping for. While CGX Grey Reducing Shampoo may not work overnight, it’s a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to gradually reverse the signs of grey hair without resorting to harsh chemicals or dyes. I’m excited to continue using this product and seeing even more positive results in the future. If you’re on the fence about it, I highly recommend giving it a try. It’s a small change that can make a big difference in how you feel about your hair.
I was skeptical and a bit worried I’d end up looking like a 1990s Tom Jones lookie-likie. Its good though. Takes a few washes to get to where you want to be. I use it now about once every 10 days. Definitely recommend.
The product works well on hair… Unfortunately it will stain everything else in its path!
Towels, the bath, the floor………
You have been warned
Best hair colour and dye. Easy to use and can be left inhair or beard longer for better results. Clean easy to use and no mixing required. Can be stored and reused. I probably get 8 to 10 applications
My partner has been using this for years. Its so natural, you wouldn’t even know.
Wear gloves!!
I like this product because it colours gradually, you don’t end up with a shocking mop of jet-black hair. Perfect for the salt and pepper look!
This is a great product on hair. It’s not so great on your bathroom tiles though and can also mark pillow cases so I think you need to be extra careful when rinsing it out.
My husband has used this for a long time and his hair looks good. It’s allowed him to keep his “natural” brown colour. It doesn’t look at all like he uses hair dye as he does have a little grey at the sides etc but I suspect that without it he’d be very grey by now!
It does mark the shower tiles but come off with a good scrub. It’s also stained a couple of pillow cases but not all the time, so I think that’s maybe from not rinsing properly.
Overall very good product that works well to give a natural resul
used 3-4 times a week over 2-3 weeks it slowly darked the hair. Seemed to work better on the top of the head rather than the temples but overall balance is good and doesn’t draw attention that you are dying the hair.
Partner is on his second bottle of this so it does work but takes a while. Bus hair has gone from grey borderline white to a very dark grey possibly some brown starting to come.through. He uses it everyday in the place if his normal shampoo and has done for around the last 8 weeks and the last 2 weeks its really noticeable so definitely would recommend this just stick with it give it time.
Definitely works, my grey faded in increments so much so that no one noticed. Only one issue, it stains the shower and/or bath. My wife complained that she cannot remove the stains from the enamel.
I was very pleased with the results however a couple of warnings. Wear disposable gloves when applying or your hands will change colour & use an old towel to dry your hair after treatment because it will turn black !!
I reached that milestone in my life, I thought sod it need to tackle the grey. It took a few days to notice the difference. But definitely coming along. The tube seems too small, but I will buy again to persevere to get the best results
Seems to work the more you use it.
I would buy again.
This works as it says and dyes the grey in stages, only thing I found out was it also dyes your hands, nails ,cuts and lines on your hands which ain’t easy to get back off so highly recommend wearing rubber gloves or surgical gloves or you might get more parts dyed than just your hair.
I was very sceptical about using this but gave it a go based on the reviews. I did not want a hair dye because I think the outcome always looks false and this suggests that the colour change would be more subtle. I used it about 3 times within a week and didn’t really notice any change to my hair colour, but others did. Continued using it for a few more week and I started to notice that my hair was much darker but didn’t think it was that pronounces. When I compared it to photos of me before using the product however I noticed what a difference it had made, and the colour change is much more natural looking than any hair dye that I have previously used. My only complaint would be that my temples which are pracyally completely white are still more or less white hut the top of my head has changed colour really well. I now use it sporadically, as suggested in the guidelines, so as not to go OTT and keep it looking natural. Well worth the buy. I use plastic gloves to apply to prevent staining to the hands but be warned if you don’t wash down the sides of the bath or shower the grout can start to blacken where the product has fallen when you wash your hair out.
Having started going grey in my 20s I’ve used every product out there. I settled on Control gx a few years ago, liking the fact that it builds up so there was no quick change for work colleagues to comment on.
The old formula would provide my desired 90% coverage after 4 washes and a bottle would last me a year. The new formula took 6 or 7 goes to get about 80% coverage and I’ve decided to stop.
I’ve noticed the new one leaving brown marks / drips much more obviously in the shower and on the floor too, a few hours after rinsing. As long as the product wasn’t neat on the surface and has been rinsed thoroughly straight after your shower, these drips and marks just wipe away, but it’s a bit frustrating compared to the old which didn’t seem to do this. The clean up goes on for a few days, with staining appearing once puddles and drips dry.
Unlike the old one I’m finding stains on towels much more likely, so use a dark colour towel and dry thoroughly. Any drips will likely be brown a few hours later, so watch your bedroom carpet!
Overall it’s good and manageable once you’re learned the tricks. No orange hair for me or brown fingernails (use your palms).
