No one wants to admit they’re going grey but this is a good solution for me.
4 of the 5 items were correct. One was Dark Brown which is incorrect.
I’ve attempted to get a replacement, but unable to do so.
Relatively easy to apply. I tend to apply to sides first as they’re a bit stubborn to take the colour then the back then the top. Definitely don’t leave on more than the recommended time otherwise it could go literally jet black. If anything you may need to remove it before the full process time. Avoid shampoos with Sodium Laurel Sulphate as these will strip the colour prematurely.
Since when was it normal for men to go grey at 30! Well I don’t mind telling you I ain’t having that nonsense! Dead easy to apply and the results are brilliant, would Post a photo but then you’d know I was a fake like an Instagram model. Don’t fall victim to old age before your time lads use this.
Covers the greys, except short grey hairs – the mixture just doesn’t cling on to them no matter how much you put on. So if you have straight hair and a buzz cut don’t be surprised if you didn’t get the results you expected.
Also doesn’t last more than 2 weeks!
I have used this product for many years. and it is great. It just tints your hair a little and helps with the ageing process stretch out!! I use it on my beard and temples mostly. It is organic with no strong chemicals. Once you use this product, your hair is fuller and more manageable. I buy it on Amazon on a regular delivery contract – one unit per month at a good price. We all need a little help. I do not always give good review of products but this one is great.
Having started to go grey at the age of 25 I’ve used all the products over the years. I’ve used this full dye before. I’m now 39 and was using touch of grey before lockdown which is great it you’re worried about people noticing as it builds up over a few applications.
Working at home and now being grey all over I thought what the hell I’ll use the full dye again. It’s gone darker than I remember it previously. Concerned colleagues will notice even on Monday’s Zoom call! You might want to to try 4 minutes if you’re light brown. Coverage great and better than I remember though, so maybe they’ve improved it.
My white pillow case is looking distinctly pale beige 2 nights later which is a concern. I’ve washed my hair thoroughly. Never noticed that with any JFM products before. Don’t let this out you off, just don’t use your white bedding for a week or so!
This is the No.1 product for me. Easy to apply, it is fast-acting and produces excellent and natural-looking results in just minutes every time. For me personally, the results are long-lasting, 6-8 weeks between applications. Highly recommended!
I purchased the “Just for men Original Formula Medium Brown Hair Dye” and admit that I had reservations. Would it make my hair look unnatural? Would it work at all? Did ‘brown’ mean ‘reddish?? I need not have worried. I applied the dye when my wife was out yesterday morning and when she returned she simply commented ‘you look good!’. She didn’t immediately notice that it had been coloured, but when she did asked if I had ignored lockdown restrictions and had my hair professionally done – it looked that natural.
I use this once in a while and as I usually have very short hair I can get at least four goes from a pack.
When you first rinse it out it can look like nothing happened but some further developing effect occurs over the next several hours.
You can see some colour remaining for up to about two months.
The slightest splash overlooked on bathroom surfaces can be difficult to remove after a few hours.
Also beware you don’t leave some on your ears or whatever but just being careful to rinse off thoroughly after the set time – about five minutes – seems to be OK no need to use an kind of barrier where you don’t want it.
They would have you test for adverse reaction before every use, this seems an OTT reaction to being sued in the past but you really should test the first time then perhaps just monitor any change in reaction in following uses.
It is quite a strong chemical and you are ‘aware’ of it on your scalp for a day or two after even after washing ou
Fantastic product, used first time on hair round bald patch. Didn’t discolour scalp skin, which is a big fear and gave a soft natural colour to grey and coloured hair, looks natural, nobody who saw it noticed immediately and had to be prompted to realise, which is the whole point. I wanted something different from grey balding hair but nothing that makes people double take!
It works well for dying eyebrows and it highly recommended for doing so as it is specifically for facial use and is waterproof so therefore lasts. I have light blonde eyebrows and this keeps them dark for around 4 weeks.
If you have an area of multiple grey hair, the difference in colour will be noticeable upon close inspection. If your grey hair are fairly well distributed it is almost impossible to tell the difference.
Never used hair dye before but was getting lots of grey, so decided to give it a go. I have sandy brown hair naturally but lots of grey starting to appear so it seemed lighter. This has probably gone a shade darker, more like a light chocolate brown, but I like it.
Only mistake I appear to have made is I didn’t put as much on the sides as it was going on my ears, and you can still see bits of grey, but next time will do the sides first to try and get them slightly darker. I left it on for 7 minutes as I saw a man on YouTube saying leave it on for 10 if you want the shade to go darker, so I did 7 lol.
Overall happy with it. It’s quick and it works! Very messy though. I used an old towel and it practically ruined. Not sure if it comes out, so don’t wear anything you don’t want destroyed.
Colour was great. Only thing was timing of original formula did not stop as per later versions which did not have the same mid brown category. Hence selection of original formula.
The product works but I dont have much grey really. It does look natural and didnt dye all of my hair. I have dark brown/black hair and went for the medium brown which made it look more natural. This is the second time ive ordered from this company and both times it has been sent straight out.
So, I bought both kinds of Just for Men. Both in medium brown and I have dark brown hair. There’s so many conflicting opinions out there that I didn’t know which would be best so I decided to try both.
I used the Autostop one first. I put conditioner all around my hairline because this protects against dying your skin, apparently, but I don’t think it’s necessary. It seems to wash of skin straight away. I didn’t use the comb since I have stray greys all over and would need full coverage anyway just to get them all. I don’t have a lot of grey, just plenty scattered all over. I put in on and lathered it in using the provided gloves. Waited 10 minutes and washed it off. Hardly any difference. I have minimal grey and it didn’t even catch those with a full dye.
Later, I tried the original formula. I did the same thing except I needed to mix the formula.. which is as simple as pouring one bottle into the other and shaking it until it’s mixed, easy. Full cover, waited 5 minutes and washed it off. It covered every single grey.
TL/DR: This product works. Do not buy the Autostop formula instead. They are the same price and the original formula takes less time… and actually WORKS.
I always buy these as I trust them the most.
I have very short hair and a beard, so I get grey hairs at the temples and my beard can look like a tabby cat. What I do is measure out half of each bottle, mix in a small glass and apply (using one of the plastic gloves provided). I use it on my hair and beard with zero problems. Each time I apply the formula, I get slightly panicked because I see my skin is getting a liberal coating too (I’m very lazy and ham-fisted). But, after waiting the 5mins, hopping into the shower for a thorough rinse, I’ve never stained my face. Occasionally (my fault) I stain my fingers or fingernails, but it fades after a couple of days.
I used this product a few years ago when my hair was quite short and it worked perfectly. My hair is now shoulder length and after noticing that it was virtually grey all over, I decided to try it again. Happily, I can say that it works just as well. There was enough product to cover all of my hair, despite it being as long as it is, and there was 100% coverage of all the grey- which was vast! Reading reviews on here saying it doesn’t work, I suggest those people are not mixing the 2 bottles properly- you have to shake the mix quite vigorously for several seconds to mix it. Also I have seen reviews from people reporting skin burns and/or redness. I suggest these people did not perform the allergy test prior to using it on their hair. It is written all over the instructions and on the packaging that if you haven’t used the product before, you should perform the allergy test as some people can have a severe reaction to the colouring agent. If you buy this from Amazon, check the price! You will probably be able to buy it cheaper from your local supermarket or chemist.
I have used just for men for years brillant product must have hair to work ha ha!!but if you have not tried it be careful and get the right colour use it like a shampoo but leave it on for about 7 mins dont panic when you look in the mirror while waiting for it to do the job, wash it off I use a shampoo after and rinse off again you will use it again because of the brillant results.try it I would not use anything else.
Finally dared to try this, fearing I would emerge from the shower with orange or jet black hair, but actually was pleasantly surprised. I only had some greying to the sides of my thatch. Seems to have matched my normal hair colour perfectly and fixed the greying. Wife didn’t notice til I pointed out the missing grey and nobody at work has laughed at me yet, so think i may have got away with it! Ordering more!
Followed the instructions and it worked fine.
I am 50 and I had literally tones on grey hair, all over and particularly on my sideburns and infront of my ears.
I never realized just how much grey until I used this.
Works brilliant, immediate results. If you have a lot of grey hair and have been used to it then it can be a bit of a shock.
At first I wondered if it were too dark but checked older photos and the colour is right….its just grey lightens your overall tone and so its a bit of a shock when you are finished.
Not it has settled feel and look younger.
When it says work on the areas that are worse giving them special attention it means it. I was even all around but my right front side was worse than others and I had to retreat that little area because I was initially too casual, not the products fault – mine.
Will definitely buy again.
This was used on slightly grey very straight short hair for 1 minute less than stated on the packet. It worked a treat and the original hair colour was untouched. Some grey hair took a slightly brown very natural looking tint but no sign of grey. For future washing though a good conditioner is recommended as hair tended to be very dry at the ends.
I’m 49 and this is the first time in my life that I’ve ever used hair dye.
Previously I’d always just kept my hair very short, almost shaved, to conceal the grey hairs. Well, not conceal as such, maybe not emphasise as much.
But I thought I’d give it a try. Most of my female friends dye their hair, in fact most women seem to dye their hair, and if the worst came to the worst I could always just shave it all off and start again.
I must confess that I was slightly alarmed by the list of chemicals on the box, but I went ahead with the test patch and that came up fine.
The application process itself was surprisingly easy and straightforward, though I’d recommend that you have someone help you as it’s virtually impossible to see all the hairs on the back of your head, so some will get missed as a consequence. The solution didn’t drip everywhere, didn’t smell too overpowering and didn’t dry out my hair horribly. It was quick too, only five minutes then wash it all out.
I was quite impressed with the results, though I did look rather alarmingly like Steven Seagal at first which is never a good look. No one has really said anything and I don’t really feel any different, but the colour has faded somewhat in just a week and does look more natural now.
I’ve given this product four stars for two reasons:
1. I don’t think it will last six weeks, four would be a good result, though I do wash my hair every day. And nearly eight pounds every four weeks, if you want to maintain the illusion of course, isn’t particularly brilliant value for money, though that’s probably far cheaper than having it done professionally.
2. Nothing changes inside: you are still the age you are, you are still the person you are. If you’ve got bags and wrinkles and laughter lines, then hair dye isn’t going to change that, though at least it’s not the Pandora’s Box of cosmetic surgery.
I would still recommend it though just to try it, see if you like it and whether it would be something you’d be happy to do long term. I can’t be bothered and don’t mind being the age I am or the shape I’m in, but I’m glad I gave it a whirl.

This works well and after first use I was impressed. Possibly easier if some one can put it on for you. I think I’ll have to use it about monthly. I did find the first time that I had missed a bit, it was still grey The solution is quite thick, and there was still about a quarter in the bottle…so I put more on the grey area (it works for an hour)..it was then okay.
