Very heavy, but wheels help. Easy to control temp once you learn how to set the vents. 4 cooks on it so far, two using the smoke roller, and they have all come out tasting amazing!
I like that it was made specifically for the Kamado Joe Jr. grill. It protects the grill and keeps the outside of the grill clean and dry. The only thing I dislike is the fading of the red piping from sitting in the sun. That can’t be helped though.
We have the orange version of “the green egg.” It fits perfectly. I hesitated spending this much on a grill cover, but it’s worth it to protect our investment. Also, I was leary of ordering an off brand and not having it fit correctly. Definitely a good investment.

The cover seems well built, but it fades alarmingly quick. This was delivered 4/20/23, and today is 6/19/23. My black cover with red piping is already gray with pink piping. Hopefully the rest of it holds up better than the color.
Perfect fit and straps down well. Holds up in winds and rain (not sure about snow yet). Tie downs work well to keep it snug. Great product.
I bought my husband a Kamado Joe KJ13RH Joe Jr. 13.5 inch grill and this was the perfect accessory to protect it! Fits great and my husband absolutely loved it! Decent prize on Amazon compared to big box stores.
Great product, and any reservations about buying from other than a bricks and mortar BBQ supply store we’re unfounded. Completely satisfied with the purchase and delivery process start to finish.
Kamado Joe grills are some of the best available on the market and expensive. I downsized from the green egg to the Kamado Joe JR now that it is just my wife and I at home. I am so pleased with this new grill and want to keep the grill in mint condition and protect it from the elements.
Looked at the generic grill covers but decided to go with the cover provided by Kamado Joe. The grill cover was thinner than I expected but does seem strong and well made. The inside of the cover is glossy and I assume this is what provides the water proofing. There are two adjustable straps on the cover so you can snug up the cover fit so that the cover stays put in windy conditions.
The cover looks great — will see how this material holds up after extensive use. Happy Grilling and keep that grill covered when not in use by keeping the elements out and ensuring mint condition of your new grill.
You pay for the name on the cover. The fabric does not seem any different than other covers. I will say that it is not the cheapo vinyl cover that falls apart half way through the season. I have no had it long enough to rate the stiching quality. It fits the grill in all the right places and makes it easy to cover the grill without hassle. These covers usually only last one year, so we will see…
If you’re reading these reviews, you likely have a KJ JR. Short answer – buy it. Very heavy duty and you’ll be confident leaving your expensive bit of kit outside no matter the weather.

It’s over all well made, for the price i don’t really think it’s that much better than some of the cheaper ones, but it’s still a good cover.
I’d love to see one with a zipper from top to bottom just to make it easier to put on. I’d also like to see some heat resistant material (insulation?) sowed in the top so you could put it on soon after your finished grilling instead of waiting until the next morning.
Over all I’m satisfied, I don’t know of anyone that makes one like I want and their may be be reasons for that I’ve never thought of. This cover is at least as good as any I have ever had. So I’d would recommend it.
It’s a little expensive but you get what you pay for. It’s more heavy duty than the cover for my Weber grill.
It’s got some decent water repellent properties – hopefully will stay like this for a while.
It’s a generous size so easy to get onto the KJC2, but the 2 straps/clips on the sides secures the cover snugly and will not get blown away.
Looks good with the branding too.
I really very happy I purchased this. If you’re going to pay 1k plus for your bbq, then spend 50 or so to keep it in the best condition for as long as possible.
A bit bigger than my old one. But ok when I clip the sides on.
