No fault of the product , but found my car radio cannot see it. I discovered over 32GB the software FAT 32 doesn’t work. Odd as 64gb usb does work. No fault of the seller, and it is fine in PC . So just check that it works in your chosen appliance.
I use this in a field camera and the storage capacity is ideal. Not that much more money than the 32GB card and I do not have to check the camera as often with this 64GB version which is great for me.
Not the biggest capacity or the fastest speed but great for older cameras or even newer ones. A good make well known for its computer ram and it dosent disappoint in Sdcard either. I’ve used it in an Olympus OM-D E-M5 without any problems
Case material is the same solid plastics as other ones in the Canvas range from Kingston
You’re looking at 97-98mb/s read speed, and around 50mb/s write speed.
The “blue” Canvas cards are similar with a write speed of over 90mb/s
The green ones here are excellent value for the capacity
In comparison the Lexar 800x can hit around 45mb/s write speed, and the normal Ultra from Sandisk is about 30-34mb/s write. This cost just over 5, the others are 10
Lifetime warranty too (according to package)
For an inexpensive but reasonably fast back up card, this is a good buy
The blue Kingston is slightly faster than the Extreme Pro they are very close though
Drawback, no case not a big problem but would be nice
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K can record to Cfast 2.0, USB SSD’s and SD cards. This Kingston 256GB card for 15.66 is a no-brainer to add to each Pocket camera as ‘extra’ space – Yes, most Pocket Camera owners record to Cfast and SSDs but in various groups they have sometimes forgotten media at home or had the USB-C port die or something go wrong… no reason not to have a cheap SD card also live in the camera… never know when it will become handy… even a life-saver on a shoot.
Formatted the 256GB card claims 37 minutes of recording time when shooting at 4K DCI, 3:1, 24fps – however, in actual testing – 3 times in a row – it recorded for over an hour @ 66 mins each!! What a result!
The Kingston Canvas line of cards also work for the OG Pocket Cinema & Micro Cinema Cameras.
I bought one of these a while back but only used it recently and so based on the picture quality – I used it in my camcorder – I ordered another one as I am pleased the performance of the first one. The price is reasonable, which included the postage in this instance, so may well order another – can’t say fairer than that 🙂
Great product at very little expense. I shoot with a canon 7d2 at 10fps, and many well known cards I’ve used are not up for the task. I now never buy anything else.
