I selected this design from the previous generation, as opposed to the newer ones that feature a cutout for battery access. In my opinion, these are excellent products. The absence of any components that might come loose and cause discomfort when held is a superior option. Additionally, their straightforward removal and installation make battery replacement a hassle-free process.
I recently tried out the Kiwi grips for my Oculus Quest controllers, and I have to say, I was really impressed with how comfortable they made my controllers feel. They also provide good protection against accidental drops.
The only issue I’ve had is that the Velcro has come detached over time, which has caused some loss of grip. However, I’ve heard from other users that this isn’t a common problem, so it could just be an issue with my set.
Overall, I still highly recommend the Kiwi grips for anyone who wants a more comfortable and secure grip on their Oculus Quest controllers. And, while I’ve had some issues with the Velcro, I’ve had great experiences with other Kiwi accessories.
My first impressions on this product was how neatly packaged it was. It included everything mentioned and was packaged with care. When I started using this product I could tell how much nicer they felt for my hands with my quest 2 as one of my straps broke so I had to loop it around my controller but I found it left there annoying red lines on my hands once I got this my hand felt so much better when playing VR they were also super easy to install ! In my opinion this is needed product if you plan on getting a Quest 2 headset as the straps on the headset aren’t the greatest. I highly recommend to buy if you own a Quest 2.
Bought these on recommendation from a friend and it was well worth the money, very comfortable, easy to install and take out, don’t think I coud go back to the controller without these grips, the velcro strap *could* stand to be a bit more open, but thats okay!
These grips allow you to let go of the controllers without dropping them or dangling from your wrist like the straps that come with the quest 2. The are made of silicon and have to push through buttons at the top of the controller to keep them in place.
I was worried at the start of use that they might not stay on but after using them for a considerabke amount of time, I no longer have this worry.
They can get a bit sticky if you are playing an intense games and you hands sweat, but due to being made of silicon, they are easily removed and washed.
Definitely a needed accessorie for the quest 2.
The design and comfort for me was good easy to install and fitted well.. for me..but it was bought for my 13yr old son and when it came to putting the strap round his hand there was no velcro to connect the strap.. I had to ammend this myself by glueing on a small piece of velcro strapping in order to extend what was there so it would fit his hand
It’s been several months since I purchased these controller grips and honestly I could never go back now that I have them.
I was constantly suffering from hand cramps while gripping my controllers especially since they’re on the small side for someone with hands of my size.
The Kiwi grips come included with the hand strap on the side which enables you to keep them on your hands even if you need to let go. For games like beat saber this can work perfectly.
They were easy to slide onto the controller and hook over the halo and to be honest, other than the straps, I often forget I even have a grip on there. They fit so snugly that they seem as thought they were made with the official quest 2.
I’ve been swinging my hands fast, slow, up, down, left, right and they’ve remained completely in tact with no wear and tear showing after 7 months.
This is so far the only item that I have purchased from KiWi and they have eliminated the hand cramps I used to suffer from. I definitely will be looking to them again in future for high quality and reliable products for my Quest 2.

I have a Disability called a hemiplegia and I find it hard letting go of the trigger without it coming off my hand. But this easy to use VR Hand controller grips have really helped me. Sometimes my thumb does get away from the trigger but that is nothing to do with the VR Controller straps from KIWI.
For anyone who has a hemiplegia in one of their hands, I highly recommend picking this up from Amazon.
hey are handy, stop you from throwing them around the room, but the rubber is very flexible, making it ok to get them onto the controllers and off again, but because they are alittle soft/flexible on the rubber side, the strap loops flexx alittle more than so the controllers don’t stay in the palm of your hand they wobble around. but other than that, they are good. i would advise getting the version with the battery compartment opening for easy access instead, which is what i am wishing i had done, as switch rechargable batteries is a pain.
I got some grip covers as part of a bundle with a case, silicon face-gasket etc. and they were made of some hard plastic stuff that was a/ difficult to fit and b (which is worse)/ difficult to remove. They were so solid it made me worry about breaking the controllers. Because of this, I looked around and found these.
Fitting them is a breeze (and anxiety-free, as they are soft silicon). The adjustable straps are comfy and easy to adjust, and hold the controllers to my hands firmly.
The ONLY downsides are with these on my controllers won’t fit in my case, and that they modify very slightly the feel of the controllers, though once you’re used to them there are no problems.
Highly recommended!
I tried another controller grip from Amazon but it was made from a harder plastic and not silicone. I returned that product and bought this Kiwi design pro grip instead. The plastic was very uncomfortable and left my hands and palms very sweaty. The Kiwi Design does not have these issues! This is exactly what I was looking for.
If you’ve been left unhappy with other products from other sellers, try this one. You won’t be disappointed. I recommend it to everyone I know with a Quest 2. It’s essential.
