Great for the purpose it was intended and a fraction of the cost of an official lead. Kiwi are a superb brand. Have used them several times for different things and never disappointed. Good lead in my opinion.
he usb a part didnt smell like walter the one in the img
It charges the headset when your not on it however battery still drains if you use headset with it plugged in (although it is at a reduced pace).
Works great no need to speed 70-80 on the meta link cable buy this one
This is for my son he was very happy with i
It came in within the 24 hrs that I ordered it. Came in a very small packaging which allowed it to come through my door when I was not at home. It also comes with a good manual which tells you what is compatible with it or not. I very much recommend this cable for PCVR cable
Was really looking forward to some Subnautica and Resident Evil 2. Unfortunately this cable disconnects intermittently even while sitting perfectly still.
Was sent a replacement cable shortly after review. All good now 🙂
Bought this cable as I was getting FBT (for my Quest2 that I AirLink), so far so good, it’s surviving some twisting and pulley system c:
Charges the headset very fast even tho it’s a very long cable, if you’re using it as a PC link cable, the headset will last approx 4.5 hours before turning off, which is already longer than by itself or with any other cable. Never had it overheat my headset either.
bought a few kiwi products for the quest 2 and they are fantastic.
Bought this after having bought 2 other Usb-C cables for my Oculus Quest 2 which broke after only a month of use and have been using this around for 3 months and have had no issues with connection or quality.
Highly recommended buying this item
Work’s absolutely fine with my quest pc hook up and much cheeper then the oculus link cable lot of people saying that third party link cables are hit and miss but this was and still is 100% fine
Perfect cable to link pc to oculus, no issues with it and it’s great that’s it so long so it doesn’t restrict movement and spoil your gaming experience
Had the original link cable from meta that broke, this has so far worked great, carnt do the fast charge but its not a huge loss, great cable would highly recommend, on testing it gets up to 2.3gbps and the oculus app has no problems with the cable, head set works perfectly, unless you want the
Powers Quest 2 headset whilst also providing same level of data bandwidth as far as I can tell. At least according to the Oculus app USB test. Works perfectly for VR games I’ve tried so far. Excellent value.
I was looking for cable with ( usbc to usbc) but end up with this cable ( usb3 to usbc)
It’s light, not heavy, the length is just ok (5m).
I was looking for a (6m) …. Still…very happy with this product,
No problem with loosing connection whatsoever on Oculus .
I got this cable specifically for using my Quest 2 VR for SIM Racing, so it needed to be long enough to allow plenty of room from my PC and be capable of fast and consistent data transfer, so far it’s been absolutely great and have had no issues at all.
The only recommendation would be to make the outer shielding a bit thicker, I did unfortunately run the cable over with my office chair and even though in carpet, looks like it hasn’t done the outer shielding any good
Worked great for me the first week, now the quest 2 constantly disconnects after a few minutes of use.
Tried a shorter usb 3.0 cable, no disconnects happening.
Update: Kiwi Design got in contact with me with this review and offered to replace the cable, didn’t expect that, well pleased with their customer service! Thanks a lot!
Great cable. Data signal is nice and solid and gives me freedom to route the cable so that its out the way from being able to trip over it.
Have found a few things that are probably quite common due to its length and use of the motherboards usb ports.
1. Only gotten it working using a usb3 dock, else it was detected as usb2 instead even when it was connected to motherboard’s usb 3.1 gen2 port.
2. Cable is rated for 5v 3a but at the length, you will get voltage drop. Also most ports wont provide 3a to keep the quest charged while in use. You need a port that provides at least 15w. Hence choice of coupling it with a suitable powered usb hub or dock
Great Speeds.
Does seem to drop out connection once or twice on first plugging the cable in each use, but beyond that no real issues once into games.
The cable is very thick and heavy so if you plan to use it for prolonged use hanging down, whilst using the headset stood up, this might not be the cable for you. I use it mostly sat down for sim racing so fine for my use case.
Also a little tricky to align properly if you use over ear headphones with the this cable plugged into the headset due to the thickness.
