These soothing breast gels were a complete games changer, I thought I was going to have to switch to formula, but ordered these as a last ditch attempt. They can be microwaved for about 15 seconds and can help soothe with heat, which worked well on my clogged ducts. But also can be frozen and provide awesome cooking, especially for those few few weeks when everything is sore.
They come with a little pouch to avoid putting anything too hot or too cold right on sensitive skin. The little pouch has a popper which I would put around my bra strap to help them stay in place. Because they aren’t complete circles they mould really nicely to the contours of your breast.
A really good buy if you are a new mum or planning on breastfeeding!
It saved by life when I started breastfeeding. You can either use if cold or hot. It has fabric protectors and you can fold them very easily inside the bra
used antenatally to help with colostrum harvesting and worked well for that. also helped as cold compress with blocked duct. an essential for new mums. cons – doesn’t stay cold for very long
I love these so much.
My breasts have just been a bit painful and really hot to the touch recently so gave these a try for the cold therapy.
I’ve had them on for about an hour now and it’s given me instant relief and I wish I had gotten them sooner.
Honestly live changing at this point in my pregnancy.
Brought this as early breastfeeding was very painful and needed some relief. Quick and easy to use in the microwave and the warmth definitely helped to soothe sore breasts and nipples. Sometimes they are not quite warm enough so need microwaving for longer but then if too long they are too hot to use on skin so just need some time to find that sweet spot!
I love these! Didn’t think they’d do much at first, but turned out to be my best friends. My breasts can be pretty sore from feeding, and the heat pads really ease the discomfort and pain I get, within minutes. Worth every penny and can also be used as cold packs! So convenient to have
I liked the way it’s been made and easy to use. They get quite hot easily and also cools down quite easily too. So wish they stayed hot for longer. The cover is not very likeable too.
Bought these for my wife to help relive some pain when she was expressing, as our daughter wasn’t taking to the breast. They are extremely easy to heat up just chuck them in the microwave and job done. we did find we liked to give them a extra few seconds but thats a personal preference. my wife would always be so grateful for these and a pint off water every time she expressed. all i know is it keep the milk coming and kept the little girl feed and defo made the Mrs look a lot more comfortable when using the pump defo recommend.
I purchased a set of these after having blocked ducts when my milk came in after having my third baby. How I wish I had discovered them sooner because they are a must have. Breastfeeding or not they will relieve discomfort of those early days of your milk coming in. I have since used these for blocked ducts during my breastfeeding journey, for pumping which helps get more milk quicker and also as a cold pack for my kids when they’ve hurt themselves. I have since gone on to purchase another set which I have just used with my fourth baby so I can keep some in the freezer and some for heating up.
Well worth the money for the relief they provide, they only take 15 seconds to heat up and stay warm for a while. The cover is soft and comfortable against skin.
I recommend these to everyone
I got fed up trying to peel perfect leaves of cabbages so decided to buy these, albeit more expensive but the handiness of just being able to put in the freezer and grab when needed was a lot less stressful, the shape of them would come in handy for knee injuries too
Purchased this to help when I had mastitis, did what I wanted to (I only used it hot) there was some popping sounds in the microwave despite following the instructions but all the beads were fine. It’s a bit fiddley to get into the cover and the only thing i wasn’t keen on was the covers (not great material, could definitely be improved). But they held the heat well and got us through! Will definitely use them again!
After reading mixed reviews I decided to go for it as the good reviews were exactly what I was hoping to get from this product.
Personally I am really pleased with this product. I mainly use the heated option, especially when expressing milk and find great comfort in the warmth and actually feel like my milk releases much quicker, and and lumps seems to ease up much quicker without even having to massage.
Shame if they pop in the microwave, I do 11 secs (on a 900w mw) then turn, 5s, turn 5s, and just do that until the heat is there
These are great to ease pain of engorged breasts. Only used them hot to ease them so far. Only downfall is the material that the covers are made of. Theyre horrible, catching and irritating (cheapest material ever). Covers are like the lining of a cheap pair of slippers. Had to make some more covers to be able to use them. Thank goodness I have a sewing machine otherwise I wouldn’t have been able.to use them.
I am a first-time breastfeeding mom and this is a product that I wanted. At the beginning of my breastfeeding journey, I had sever pain from engogrgment. I tried to use warm bean bags for warm compression and it was a bad experience. My body smell like beans and on top of that, I needed to hold the bag all the time. It would have been easier if I know this product back then. it’s very convenient to use, just heat it up for 20-40 seconds and it will be ready to put on the breast (Hand-free!). Now I still use it a lot to help relieve some pain but mainly for the milk flow when I express. Highly recommend for those mother who like warm compression!
I used this product as a recommendation for blocked milk ducts. I found them extremely useful, and an excellent relief of engorged breast, my only fault was that I had to use 2 for one breast. Found them to be too small for my milk filled breast.
Also you defo need to heat for more than the recommended time, but you have to do it in burst of said seconds, otherwise you would run the risk of the packet exploding as other users had done when i read other reviews. Its common sense really!!!
Apart from that, its an excellent product!!
I really like Lasinoh products and this one is no exception, I haven’t used the hot function as my problem isn’t milk let down it’s more engorging and needed these for pain relief it’s very soothing for that purpose however my one complaint is that after 5mins they aren’t cold anymore so the pain relief doesn’t last very long considering
I bought this after reading that it might help with let-down for expressing. It does! Has helped me to increase the volume I express at a sitting. I am so pleased and think it was money well spent. I do find that the temperature seems a bit variable after warming in the microwave for the specified time – but don’t want to overcook it so haven’t tried increasing much when it comes out on the cooler side. The cover is soft which is good. My only complaint is that you have to hold on to it while also having to hold the pump so it can be a bit awkward: some kind of clip to hold it to your bra strap would be useful.
As a newbie mum, and prior to giving birth I did the typical thing most newbies do, look up what junk needs to be bought for when baby is born. These were one of those purchases which I’m over the moon I bought.
At around the 3rd day of breast feeding I was in desperate need of something to alleviate the pain from sudden milk production (hard breasts, constant burning, no actual milk production) so I turned to these. An utter god send! They take seconds to heat in the microwave and provide a good 30 mins of resbite. They also break down the hard lumps that can accumulate if you’re having problems expulsing the milk. In this last case, the matching bra pads are also a MUST.
In the frozen format they’re also fantastic. The constant burning goes away when you use these, and again, they last a long time before having to freeze them again.
This is THE one buy I’m so glad I did. Who’d have said!
Brilliant concept — these are compresses that you can either heat in the microwave, or cool in the freezer, to help with your breastfeeding woes. Although they look circular in the picture, in fact that they have a gap in between two of the ‘petals’ so they are in fact more the shape of a crescent moon and can adjust to fit any size needed. They also come with a very soft and comfortable fabric cover so that you don’t have the heat or cold plastic right against your skin. Very easy to use and a complete life-saver. Helped me to avoid mastitis and also helped with dealing with the discomfort of engorgement when my milk had just come in. I have recommended these to so many people now! They should be in every new mum’s kit for the early days after birth.
