Just got a new hot tub . Had a Paris before which came with lights new one didn’t ordered this and it does the job. Perfect great value for money and easy to put in .
Easy to fit and works a treat! But on our Miami lazy spar the lights effect is only really effective for half the diameter. You need two of these for better effect, especially when bubbles are active.
I have to say the bad reviews are a result of leaving the light in the spa I would take it out and install it during use only so it doesn’t compromise or a premature failure
Bought for the lay z jacuzzi. Lights for 2 hours. On each press .changes colours.better at night ! .easy to screw on.make sure you put batteries in and slide to lock in watertight.
The other reviews said I’d need to sand it a little to slot in. Which is true but I got a bit carried away and now need plumbers tape to get it to fit lol.
But it’s truly brilliant in my Lay Z Spa Miami Air Jet. Bargain price.
It is easy to install once you work out that you have to remove both the Chemical Holder and the top “cover” that is attached to the hot tub. First photo shows the LED light in situ. Third photo shows the two components of the chemical holder and the cover which is tight to unscrew. The item itself is largely untested as it’s not dark enough in evenings to judge it yet. However, it appears that it will set off your hot tub nicely. No concerns over water entering battery compartment. Does require x3 AAA Batteries though not included. Hope this helps.
Was worried about buying one of these after many reviews saying it doesnt fit the Helsinki but it does and I highly recommend it!
Just take off the chemical dispenser and unscrew the debris screen, then screw the light i
People say this does not fit the Helsinki Hot Tub. But I can definitely assure you is does. You need to remove the dispenser and adaptor from the top pipe then screw on the light. Job done.
Also another moan is that it is not waterproof and it lets water in to the battery compartment. No problem here. Just make sure when you replace the cover you turn it until it’s tight. Then make sure when you tighten the screw it is screwed in until it’s really tight too. Only takes it to be slightly loose and it will leak. Remember that this unit is under pressure not just dipped in water.
I can honestly say it is worth the money and looks nice at night with the spa turned on and bubbling away.
Also has the convenience of turning itself off after 2 hours so as not to waste the batteries.
I highly recommend this light if you are prepared to make sure you seal it properly.
So we got our first lay z spa a few days ago and bought this light to go with it, couldn’t figure out where it screwed into, only after did we discover that you need to unscrew the chlorine tablet dispenser connection from the hot tub and that’s where it screws onto. Anyway, some have said this slows down the water flow rate so, here’s what we have done. Take some sand paper and sand down the threads on the light a little, it’s very soft plastic and sands easily so go gently! This will then allow you to push the light into the hole on the chem dispenser for a push fit connection instead which seems quite tight if you sand it down just enough and leave the flow rate correct. Hope this helps someone. The light itself is nice and bright and allows auto colour change or select a constant colour. Takes 3 aaa batteries.
The light really adds to the spa feeling in the hot tub.
The light I bought now is a replacement for the same type I bought 18 months ago. The last one lasted that long before breaking .. not sure why it broke but I guess 18 months submerged is good going for the price .. so still really pleased.
I purchased this after buying a cheaper version with two lights which rusted after 2 days in the water. This item however fits easily into the water outlet (inside the tub) and works from there. One button operation makes it’s easy to use and select the colour (s) you want. It turns off automatically after 2 hours, but you can turn off with the button if you want to. It lights up the entire pool very well and looks great.
Would definitely recommend.
Quick and easy to install – made sure to screw the pieces back together tightly after inserting batteries to hopefully ensure water tight. Added a short video for you to see how it looks in different conditions – outside was dusk at that time, so still a good amount of light. Will feedback further if any issues with longevity, but good so far and happy with the effect (Using in a Miami spa)
The light I found to be good but I find it does slow down the hot water flow so when I finish I take it off not really a problem but I’d thought I’d point it out I wouldn’t leave it on permanently cos I don’t want to restrict water flow which could take longer to heat or maintain water temp. Apart from that I’m very pleased with it better than those floating ones I’ve had in past.
I don’t usually write reviews however I remember seeing a lot of contradictory information on here regarding the lazy spa helsinki. I can confirm this definitely does work u remove the chem dispenser and unscrew the piece behind then simply secrew this light on. Works a treat.
Only dropped a star because there’s now nowhere to put the chem tab if you leave this on.
