Bought as a gift for a 64 year-old who was delighted. After many years of helping the kids with their lego kits, she can’t wait to get going on one of her own at last.
Great way to spend a few hours! Did the Iron Man art and wanted to trust this. High build quality, no missing parts (a few spare of anything) and interesting supporting material! Very recommended!
The set comes neatly packaged with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, typical of LEGO’s high standard. It contains over 3,000 pieces, but don’t let the number intimidate you. The building process is simplified by the color-coded system and the accompanying soundtrack, which immerses you in a harmonious blend of LEGO clicking sounds and informative narratives about Hokusai and his magnum opus.
The LEGO interpretation of Hokusai’s iconic wave is astonishingly accurate. The designers have painstakingly replicated the image, from the white-capped waves to the distant Mt. Fuji. Each brick adds to the overall image, and watching the picture come to life as you assemble each piece is a uniquely satisfying experience.
Perhaps one of the most enjoyable aspects of this set is the accessibility and inclusivity it provides. You need not be a LEGO enthusiast, an art lover, or familiar with Hokusai’s work to appreciate the beauty and satisfaction derived from building this set. It is, in essence, a universally appealing product.
If you’re looking for a gift, the LEGO Art Hokusai’s “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” is an excellent choice. It’s a perfect blend of culture, art, and entertainment that appeals to both kids and adults. Whether it’s for the living room wall or the office, it’s a beautiful piece that combines the fun of LEGO and the sophistication of classic Japanese art.
All in all, the LEGO Art Hokusai’s “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” is an exceptional set that provides not just an engaging building experience but also an immersive educational journey into one of Japan’s most iconic art pieces. It’s truly a set that impresses on all fronts and is worth every penny.

CONCLUSIONI
Inoltre davvero solido. Fantastico!
Ecco qualche altro motivo per acquistarlo:
– bel design
– ottimo per decorare la casa
– ottimo regalo per amici amanti dell’arte classica jap
– tecnica costruttiva sorprendente
Took me about 5 hours at a very casual pace.
Hangs on normal screws/nails thanks to the including mounting system (Holes are 27.5cm apart).
My only gripe is that the white border pieces have dimples in from the mould, which is quite visible in bright light.
I’ve always liked this picture so the chance to recreate in Lego was too good to resist. And it didn’t disappoint! The picture is very accurate to the original. Some unconventional bricks are used to create the sea spray. Don’t panic. Take a step back and you’ll see that it looks just right. Enjoy!
Great addition to my “Starry Night” picture by Lego, The “wave” really comes alive when you begin to layer the picture,The colours and design pieces complement each other perfectly Easy to follow instructions as always with Lego. You can build the picture and frame in two stages and easily connect to gather.
Looks stunning and well designed
The building process is a real work of art in itself. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle, but with less missing pieces and more satisfying clicks. Plus, the finished product is so impressive, you’ll want to display it on your mantelpiece or even in your office. Just make sure to keep it away from any earthquakes or tsunamis.
Overall, the 31208 Art Hokusai — The Great Wave set is a real masterpiece. It’s like bringing a piece of Japan’s history into your home, without having to deal with the jetlag. Now, if only it came with some sushi and sake too
