Nice little set but a must for any star wars fan, and the nice little mini figs to finish it off.

Great set with a nice selection of mini figures. Will go well with the forthcoming Yavin 4 set.

I’m so happy I purchased this kit as a lego amateur this was so much fun to build although the mechanism to make the wings open was a little tricky yet very satisfying once completed.

Kit is a larger than I thought which is another major plus, it’s now a feature in my office.

I simply love this kit and it’s a lot for the price, If either Lego or Star Wars is your thing you will not be disappointed when you see this kit completed.

I had so much fun building this. It has 4 bags so I used one each day which spread the activity out, it became my wee Sunday thing and each bag maybe took half an hour. It looks great at the end, I’m really happy with it. It’s pretty sturdy. My only note for improvement would be the wings have to be flat while it’s on display. This is great value for money though and I’d highly recommend it.

I’ve purchased alot of star wars lego and this is by far the best build for the money I have ever done. Four mini figures, a decent size sturdy build and it looks great.

Show me a better value lego build than this and I’ll show you a liar.

A lot of people think it’s a mediocre product but I had fun building it and when it’s on offer it’s a great buy

I cannot fault this model in anyway. A great addition to anyone’s Star Wars collection. Happy that the X-Wing and the Tie Fighter/Bomber are similar in scale.

Despite being cheaper it’s actually the same size as older xwings, I fell like the skinnier look is more accurate also great figure selectio

Overall this set is great, and would definitely recommend it. However, I was supplied with a 4×4 panel in place of 2 2×4 panels, meaning I had to take them out of another set…

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersMy son loves Star Wars and was chuffed to bits with this excellent LEGO X-Wing. At 8 years old, he is very capable and can build 18+ models, but this one is still a good challenge, with the moving ‘x’ wings being quite tricky. This could keep your kid (or partner) busy for an hour or so while you sneak off and watch Gogglebox or Bake Off… (this is just a tip, not a recommendation. Amazon had a good price when I bought but be quick as this model may very well be retiring soo

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersThere have been many iterations of the X-wing Starfighter over the years with it being perhaps the most iconic ship from the Star Wars franchise. As such I was very keen to add this latest one to my growing hoard of ‘collectibles’ (they’re not toys!).

Construction time was roughy two hours, coincidently the running time of Episode IV, and a strong brick knowledge will have you wizz through the build in no time. The instructions were as clear as always from Lego, although it’s definitely worth using the Lego app if you haven’t tried it.

The model is sturdy and would suit play purposes well if you are so inclined, again for me this is very strictly a collectible. Care must be taken with the forward landing strut which can come detached from time to time. There is some repetition in the build with the wings and laser cannons although not as much as other models in the series eg the imperial shuttle. There also several stickers which tend to divide opinion although they supplement the set well.

The model features the latest versions of Lego’s firing lasers and comes with several spare shots, ample if you should run into any Tie Fighters on your travels.

Included with your X-wing are four mini figures, Luke Skywalker (pilot), R2-D2, Princess Leia (spare pilot perhaps?) and General Dodonka (even more random). For the price of the kit four figures is excellent value.

Overall this model is great value (for Lego) very accurately depicts the legendary X-wing Starfighter and should be a compulsory purchase for any Star Wars fan.

I’m off to play with my X-Wing.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis is the second X Wing set I have bought, the first being the black Poe Dameron version. It’s very nice set for the price, but marred by a few minor issues.

By far the best thing for the set is the folding wings. It’s an awesome clever design and you don’t have the issue of ugly rubber bands as previous X Wing sets. Unfortunately they don’t lock out like previous models, so you’ll need to keep weight off the wings if you’re displaying (non issue if you have a stand connecting the base). Also since ship is small, you’ll see the mechanism outside rather than housed inside and hidden away, but otherwise not something you’ll notice at a distance.

The front landing gear is the worst part of an otherwise great model, as the hinge connecting the ski to the limb is flimsy and easy to disconnect. It’s also not foldable like the larger models. Fortunately you can disconnect all the landing gears and have the set look flush.

All in all a very nice piece for the price and I’d recommend for kids and adults.
