This has taken me a while to getting around to build, I was holding off until I had the time to really appreciate building it.
The quality is as expected from Lego, so very happy with that.
The instructions are pretty good and have had no problems understanding what goes where.

This is perhaps not an easy build, and it has taken me a little longer than expected but it is coming together nicely and I am quite happy with this.

Overall, fun build especially if you a Star Wars fan, the Lego quality is present and it is a nice build

I’m a massive Lego fan and wanted to add to my collection. I also love to keep the boxes however the boxes were slighting bashed up so they don’t looks as good however that could of been from delivery. Got a great offer on them so can’t complain really, definitely recommend.

Another fantastic collectors item by Lego. A good fun build and not too time consuming. Good clear instructions on how to build and looks great too.

The helmet collection from Lego has really grown into something impressive, not sure how much further they can take it with Star Wars but glad we got a clone version.

Some interesting building techniques, especially how you connect the visor and I found it fun and relaxing, great escapism.

Is it super accurate to the source material… No, is it close enough? Yes.

We’ll assume you’re already a Star Wars fan and/or a LEGO aficionado otherwise you wouldn’t be considering spending this much on a Star Wars Clone Commander Cody Helmet that you have to assemble yourself. You’ll need a bit of perseverance and probably patience to do it because there are a lot of pieces, 766 of them to be precise, and some of them are tiny. I suspect the fact this is recommended for adults is as much about the perseverance you’ll need as anything and it isn’t a particularly difficult build, just time-consuming.

The photo’s don’t really do it justice because it’s got more of a presence in reality, even though it’s only 20cm tall, but you can’t help feeling it’s a lot of effort to go through for a relatively small display piece. It’s also a lot of money but then the Disney licensing fee probably accounts for a fair chunk of it. I guess what I’m trying to say is that only Star Wars fans will probably feel they got their money’s worth, but maybe that’s enough?

his is a collectors piece, that is for fans of both star wars and lego.

it is a good representation of captain cody.

its got 766 pieces, and is aimed at adults only.

the build itself isn’t too bad and its from the inside to out.

easy to recommend for fans of both lego and the clone wars.

Another fantastic Lego set. As per usual, contained are number bags to complete your build in phases. This set makes a nice display piece and a stand at the end, perfect for collectors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great display set, easy build.

Lego has been popular for years, something it shares with the Star Wars franchise.

This set will particularly appeal Star Wars loving Lego fans, and once built, it will probably remain on display rather than being disassembled.

There are 766 pieces in this set, although I haven’t counted them, and as yet have not built the Clone Commander, I am saving it for a later date.

Quality wise though the pieces are everything that you would expect from Lego, a company that has been fascinating many of us for years.

I echo the feelings of others, the only thing that lets this down a little is the price, and, Whilst I do not know if it is the case, I wonder if it is in part to do with the licensing from Disney.

Anyway, I am sure that if you are OK with the price of nearly 56 and are a fan of Star Wars you will enjoy this set.

This was a challenging and very satisfying build that took about three hours of patience and concentration. It offered a good amount of complexities and challenge to be considered difficult and the level of challenge meant that it kept me occupied for hours of building, which is what I love. So for me this was fun and satisfying and once complete fulfilling.
The instructions were clear and logical.
The set came with all required peices along with numerous spares.
The overall quality is as always flawless.
I think it looks excellent and is a delight to display.

5.0 out of 5 stars Satisfying and complex. Great fun.

This is a great choice for adult Star Wars fans and collectors. The set comes with over 400 LEGO pieces and detailed instructions, allowing you to construct a replica of Clone Commander Cody’s helmet from the Star Wars franchise.

The helmet is made with high-quality LEGO pieces that are both sturdy and visually stunning. The intricate details and design of the helmet make it an impressive display piece for any Star Wars collection or fan cave.

The new line of Lego Star Wars helmets look great and this one really caught my eye.

It arrives beautifully packaged and with the usual Lego instructions it was time to get to work. I expected about an hour to complete. I was wrong!

This is a solid helmet bust and is not hollow in the middle. It’s 700+ pieces and the whole thing is incredibly sturdy and strong inside and out and replicates the design perfectly. All in all it took around 3 hours.

It comes with a cool stand and looks right at home in my game room it is a little smaller than expected but overall I’m very happy and hope to add some more of these to my collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic and sturdy!

So it was a great model, lots of pieces, nothing missing and my son had it built really quickly, I’m not sure why it had an age rating of 18+ though, very odd.

This Lego set comes in an iconic Lego box, numbered bags of Lego and a manual on how to build it. This set contains 766 pieces to build the final product, you do get some extra spare parts included. The Lego set is age certified for 18+, possible due to many small parts?

Once completed it does looks brilliant, Starwars fans who love Lego end up getting the other ones too and have a set on display. I’m having a look, will see which one to buy. 56.10 at time of writing, it is very reasonable price as I would expect this.

Thanks for reading my review, please let me know if you found it to be helpful 🙂

My son is a huge Lego fan although not the biggest fan of Star Wars, so for him this was all about the build. The kit say 18yrs+ and we don’t think that that’s necessarily on the basis of skill needed because he’s built far more difficult sets in the Technic range.
More likely it’s based on some of the pieces being quite teeny, and that as a collectible it’s more likely to appeal to adults in the first place. Lego has a huge adult fan base now; adults who loved Lego as kids and now as adults thrive on sets like these that are produced and marketed more for them than the kids.
In terms of the design, we felt that it could have actually been designed to be a bit more complex and to look more like the real character’s helmet but that’s just our personal opinion.
The stand is a great feature for display purposes and once built, it all feels quite robust and would certainly look great on display with other helmets in the series.

I was really surprised that this clone commander cody helmet was advertised as having 766 pieces as it certainly doesn’t look it at all. It was super fun to build and put all the pieces together. Once assembled, it measures over 21 cm high and looks great up close and from far away.
Really satisfying seeing it all come together and I think this is a fabulous present for a star wars and lego fan.

Unlike some of the child-friendly builds, I found the design and implementation behind this build to create a figure which has a lot more stability and can withstand being placed on a sideboard with a steady stream of little hands inspecting it by palpation.
The build is challenging enough to keep me on my toes which I found quite engaging and thus, rewarding. It definitely has enough detail to make it one of the most admirable Lego helmets to have.
Anyone from pre-teen enthusiasts to adults would find this a great thing to build without any complications.

One thing to note is that it’s not a life-size structure (the box implied 1:1), unless you imagine clone commanders to be pint-sized!

I don’t really have a good understanding why Sar Wars lego in particular is so pricey. Nearly 60 on some plastic bricks just sees extortionate to me. For this reason I have knocked off one star.

In terms of the build, it is the usual lego kit with numbered bags and an instruction book. It’s braded up as 18+ ‘for adults’ but my 11 year old stepson takes great delight in building models from the adult range… and can do many of them with no assistance.

This kit is tricky because of the many small, fiddly pieces- but that’s not to say an older child or teen couldn’t complete it. It took my stepson most of a day to finish this one.

I really like the buildable stand and nameplate- it finished the helmet and makes for a great display item, especially if you’re planning on getting a few in the range.

This does come in the classier looking black box, so makes for an excellent gift- especially for Star Wars fans who have already completed the previous Star Wars models.

Overall, good kit, I just wish Lego would consider the price, and bring it down to around the 45 mark.

This Clone Commander Cody Helmet model is brilliant.

It has 766 pieces, many of which are very small, hence the age rating as they can be quite fiddly to attach.

It’s a very well designed model that is satisfying to build. I love that you build the display stand as part of the build too.

Looks very impressive once built, without taking up too much house room. Definitely one for collectors.

This would be great for anyone that has the other helmets from the Star Wars range.
A large set containing 766 pieces. This Commander Cody Helmet comes with a black name plate matching the other helmets so would look great with the rest of the collection. Definitely more suited for teens and adults. Comes with clear instructions.

I doubt there are many Star Wars fans who would want this to be the first or only model on their shelves, before any of the other more iconic Star Wars models. But as an extra display piece in an expanding shelf display, it is a worthy addition- undeniably Star Wars in its aesthetic, and different enough to attract attention.

It’s marked as an 18+ set, but assembly isn’t really that difficult. It requires patience and attention to detail, and it’s a little bit fiddly because most of the pieces are generally small, plus there’s not a great deal of colour variety involved across the surfaces. But I wouldn’t say that was necessarily the same thing as being challenging, and my kids were able to help me with this without being out of their depth, and the build process was enjoyable but did feel a little bit routine.

Unfortunately, there’s just something about the design of the end result that I don’t quite love. The combination of helmet curves with sharper straight lines at irregular angles translates into Lego with an ‘OK’ rather than a ‘great’. Without meaning to disrespect the Lego designer behind it, who is undoubtedly far more skilled than me, this finished model feels like somebody took a CG 3D model of the helmet, fed it through one of the automated tools that can turn STL models into Lego building instructions, and more or less just accepted the results. Some of the decisions about which outer surfaces will have studs and which will be smooth feel a little bit arbitrary. It also feels like the jowly long chin section visible in the character has been cheated flat just a little bit in order to make it easier to build. As such it manages to feel like a clever fan model, rather than an official model, and if it weren’t for the presentation stand, this could have been a fan MOC.

The resulting build is fairly heavy, and also fairly durable. The stand is wide enough that it should withstand the attention of those people for whom looking at your Lego collection seems to involve their hands more than their eyes.

At well over fifty quid, it continues to feel like Disney and Lego are collectively milking the Star Wars obsession of middle-aged people with a disposable income and unwavering fandom. But it does stand proud as a set, and it was satisfying to complete it. If I had set 75349 as well, I’d have no doubt that they would make a fantastic looking pair.

Just from looking at the pictures of it already built I didn’t think that it would actually contain 766 pieces but once you take it out of the box and start to build it you realise that yes, this set actually does contain 766 piece. Although this is muted because it is a lot of fun building it and seeing it come together as you add more and more pieces onto it.

I am convinced now that Lego is a toy for adults with a children’s line available. This is another in the line of Lego helmets and looks great with my Darth Vadar model. It takes some time to put together but looks great when it’s done. It takes a good afternoon, so set time aside. Great mantlepiece piece.

This Commander Cody helmet from Lego is an impressive item, comprising of 766 pieces. The box is bigger than I expected, with fantastic branding and it would make an amazing and substantial looking gift for any Lego/Star Wars fan.

The last couple of days have been miserable weather-wise; snow/rain has cancelled my partner’s outdoor activities and he has been really fed up. His eyes lit up when I handed this over, and he has sat in complete silence, totally absorbed in the build, which does look fantastic.

This has an 18 rating, and it is quite a complicated build, although you do get decent printed instructions, or ones on the app, if you prefer. That said, I would say that an experienced Lego builder who was under the age of 18 could easily tackle this, and even a beginner, if they can follow instructions and have lots of patience. The bonuses for me are the stand and nameplate, which really do elevate this into the realms of home dcor; all we have to do now is choose where it’s going to live.

At the time of writing this review, the cost is 56.60 on offer from 59.99, and I think it’s worth it, especially as it’s so different.

Clone Commander Cody helmet is the latest addition to the Star Wars build-to-display helmet series released by Lego which is aimed at adults, Clone Commander Cody himself appears in Star Wars: Clone Wars & this set has been released to mark the 20th anniversary of the film.

The kit includes 766 pieces with which to create the replica helmet along with easy to follow step by step instructions for building, as with each of these helmet series range the kit includes a brick built stand to display your finished build & a printed nameplate.

Once fully constructed the helmet stands 21cm high x 12 cm wide, it provides an enjoyable build experience which looks great as a display item & even better if you have other Lego helmets to accompany this in your collection, as with all Lego you also have all the fun & challenges of building, there’s also a couple of nice little features in this particular build including a posable name plate which can be angled to suit your requirements along with a posable brick built mic which can be easily manoeuvred to different positions for your display (as shown in photos)

It only took me 3 hours total to complete this build as an experienced Lego builder with my favourite Lego kits being on the larger scale & often in the Technic range, based on my previous building experiences & kits I find this is perhaps better suited towards Star Wars fans that wish to keep this fully constructed for display purposes rather than Lego lovers who enjoy more challenging builds that can be deconstructed & rebuilt repeatedly for fun.

My only other negatives for this kit is the poor design of the box which is quite difficult to open without causing any damage to the packaging during the process, this is usually something that collectors like to keep in as pristine condition as possible along with their collections & the stickers that you have to apply to the build – I would have much preferred to have had printed bricks that look neater rather than to have to apply the stickers myself which can sometimes end up crooked as a result.

I often find with Lego there is not much that determines the quality of the kit with regards to printed bricks vs stickers as the stickers are also featured on the 735 Star Wars AT-AT I’ve built & many of the 300-400 Technic cars I have also feature a combination of stickers & printed bricks but when it comes to the much cheaper Dot tiles available for 4 per pack they only feature the printed bricks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome to build & display

I was surprised looking at the product pictures before ordering that this kit contained so many pieces, i was also surprised at the actual size of the completed item as it is much larger than i expected once assembled, i wasn’t however surprised at the usual oversized Lego branded box that it arrived in.

I love the Lego packaging, by utilising oversized packaging they constantly give you a sense of satisfaction when you purchase a product that you have somehow received even better value for money, this kit is no exception and the packaging looks fantastic.

The kit contains 766 pieces, with a good mix of small and larger pieces, but some of which are relatively tiny, hence the age rating, it comes with the obligatory Lego instructional packaging but also contains a Lego inspired buildable display stand.

It’s a neat item and a great talking point as a one off purchase, however if you’re a collector of such things it’s much more than that, it’s a starting point to a massive universe of additional helmets or other star wars models that the company provides.

Great Comander Cody helmet from the Clone Wars, certainly suitable as a collectible and to display as it is best made by adults or older teens. It has 766 pieces! I like that it includes the name tag and a stand. I’m going to get a small display case for it. It is a bit smaller than I initially expected but it is amazing to work on.
