For the price it’s a great webcam. The issue I had is that it was quite zoomed in and you can’t change it. Video quality is good enough for video calls for work and is very easy to setup
I purchased the Logitech C270 HD Webcam in October 2023 and have been very satisfied with it. For the price, it offers excellent value. The video quality is clear and sharp, even in low-light conditions. The built-in microphone is also surprisingly good, capturing audio clearly without excessive background noise.
Setup was a breeze, and the webcam is compatible with all of my devices. Whether I’m video chatting with friends or family, attending virtual meetings, or streaming, the C270 has performed flawlessly. If you’re looking for a reliable and affordable webcam, I highly recommend the Logitech C270.
I had a faulty camera on my laptop. I ordered this Logitech camera set it up in a few minutes. It was so clear and easy to use. Delighted. It fitted well on my laptop and not heavy at all
I recently purchased the Logitech C270 HD Webcam in Black, for work when using Teams/Skype. I have been pleasantly surprised by its performance and video quality, considering the price (19.99)
Setting it up is very easy. It is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including PC, Mac, laptops, and tablets. The plug-and-play functionality eliminates the need for complicated installation processes or additional software. Simply connect the webcam to a USB port, and it is ready to use.
The webcam has a maximum resolution of HD 720p at 30 frames per second, which ensures a sharp and detailed image during video calls. Whether I’m chatting with friends and family or participating in work meetings, the video quality remains consistent and reliable. The widescreen format provides a wider field of view, allowing for a more inclusive and immersive video experience.
The noise-reducing microphone on the Logitech C270 HD Webcam is another notable feature. It effectively filters out background noise, allowing for clear and uninterrupted audio during calls. This is especially important when participating in professional meetings or important conversations where clear communication is crucial.
My colleagues noted that it was clear when I was on call to them.
However the webcam’s stand could be more adjustable to accommodate different viewing angles. Which is why I give it 4 stars. The mounting bracket suffices for what I need (would be nice to have a proper camera mount), but can’t expect everything at this price.
If you’re on a tight budget or need it for work/meetings, keeping in touch with family.
Great choice for anyone looking for a reliable webcam!
I spent a lot of time looking at various options for web cams and eventually settled for this one as the pride was reasonable and I’ve had positive experiences with Logitech before. This doesn’t disappoint and works very well, with good image quality. Set-up couldn’t be easier – plug and play. Initially I found that it took in too much of the background but it was easy to change that. Would absolutely recommend, especially at that price (under 20).
I acquired a Logitech webcam, and it has proven to be an excellent choice for various video needs.
Pros:
* Versatility: This webcam is perfect for recording video presentations, attending video meetings, and making video calls. It handles all these tasks with ease.
* Ease of Installation: Setting up the camera was a breeze. It’s very user-friendly, making it ideal for those who aren’t tech-savvy.
* Image Quality: The camera provides good and clear quality images and clips, which is crucial for professional presentations and meetings.
Cons:
* Affordability: For those on a budget, this webcam is the best option available. It offers great value without compromising on essential features.
Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable and cost-effective webcam, the Logitech model is a fantastic choice.
I recently purchased the Logitech C270 HD Webcam and it has significantly improved my video conferencing experience. The 720p resolution provides clear, crisp visuals that greatly enhance communication, whether it’s a business meeting or a casual chat with friends.
The built-in microphone is a standout feature, providing clear audio that matches the video quality. It effectively reduces background noise, ensuring my voice is heard clearly on the other end.
One of the things I appreciate most about this webcam is its ease of use. It was simply plug-and-play with no complicated setup or software installation required. The universal clip fits securely on my laptop and monitor, but it’s also easy to adjust when needed.
The light correction feature is impressive, automatically adjusting to the lighting conditions to provide the best possible image. This has been particularly useful for early morning and late-night calls.
Overall, the Logitech C270 HD Webcam offers excellent value for its price. It delivers high-quality video and audio that can meet the demands of any user, from professionals working from home to families keeping in touch.
Was just looking for a reasonable quality camera at a reasonable price for Teams/Skype calls after the one in my laptop stopped working after a bios upgrade. I am more than happy with the video quality, far better than the laptop one built in, works well even in reasonably low light conditions.
The camera seems well made and the mounting bracket suffices for what I need (would be nice to have a proper camera mount, but can’t expect everything at this price)
The bezzle on my monitor is very small and the camera very slightly obscured the top few millimeters of the screen when mounted on top of the monitor, but I have mounted it elsewhere and all is now good.
If you are looking for a 4K high frame rate camera for youtubing, vlogging or more professional recordings, this may not be the camera for you, but if its video conferencing / on line meetings / general work stuff you want it for, then this is more than good enough.
This was a great webcam in terms of picture quality and of decent price, it would’ve been good if you could zoom out – I felt it was too zoomed in for my liking and unfortunately it is fixed and the only possible way is to move the camera further away (which wasn’t possible because it was on my monitor) or for me to move further back (and thus be slightly away from my table)
Used this webcam as my main camera when I have the laptop connected to my desktop screeens. I found the internal webcam was too low and also I wanted to be able focus on the larger screens and this allowed me to do that.
The key thing to remember here is that you get what you pay for. And honestly, with the price this is usually at (I got it for about 18) I’d argue you get more than you pay for.
It’s not full HD, as it says it’s 720p. That’s pretty much all most people would need, so that’s no worry. The only issue I encountered was that it was very close cropped in the likes of Zoom meetings, and you don’t really get any software/options to my knowledge to try to change that Zoom. But, again, for 18 you wouldn’t expect that.
It’s plug and play, too, so nothing needs installing for you to use it. Just plug it into you PC and it’s all set. The microphone seems pretty okay, probably good, again, for most people’s use. My friends noted that it was clear when I was on call to them.
I ended up upgrading to Logitech’s 1080p option and a separate mic, this was just a placeholder until I got those, and it served its purpose! If you’re on a tight budget or need something quick/temporary, it’s a great webcam.
It does the job I need it too, video calls for work. It’s a simple camera at a reasonable price that beats my laptops built in camera hands down. Picture quality is good enough for me in most lighting conditions, the mount allows plenty of flexibility when positioning. I would recommend as a casual camera for work or home video calls.
I first bought the Logitech C270 as my work laptop’s built-in camera and microphone were not the best, plus nobody wants to see up your nose, from an angle (as I use a secondary monitor and place the laptop to my left).
The picture quality is good and the microphone a big improvement from the laptop’s integrated mic. I purposefully chose a 720p resolution webcam as I have no need for full HD or above—the picture just needs to be good enough for meetings, plus the lower resolution reduces bandwidth on my colleagues, some of whom are living in countries with less-than stable connections.
After three years of setting it up and then later taking it down and winding the cable around itself, the cable finally broke internally. So, I replaced it with the same. For home use,
I have the Logitech C920, but for work, this is perfectly fine.
Easy to use, pretty good video and audio quality. I’ve knocked a star off as I do sometimes get an error and I’ll lose sound or video, but really happy overall
Item as expected, quality of camera is fine for work, although do wish it was wide screen. I was worried it wouldnt install on my Windows 11 work device which has heavy security, however it installed quickly with no issues.
Great plug n play camera for laptop. My built-in one rarely works, have to keep resetting the app. Anyway, this great for the price. Only given 4* as you need to spend a little time getting the right angle, but great for Zoom meetings
I recently purchased the Logitech C270 HD Webcam in Black, and I have been pleasantly surprised by its performance and video quality. This webcam delivers clear and smooth video calls, making it an excellent choice for Skype, FaceTime, Hangouts, WebEx, and other video conferencing platforms.

Whether I’m chatting with friends and family or participating in professional meetings, the video quality remains consistent and reliable. The widescreen format provides a wider field of view, allowing for a more inclusive and immersive video experience.
The HD light correction feature is a standout attribute of this webcam. It automatically adjusts the lighting conditions to ensure that I am well-lit and clearly visible, even in challenging lighting environments. This feature is particularly useful when making video calls in dimly lit rooms or during nighttime conversations. The webcam’s ability to adapt to different lighting conditions enhances the overall video quality and ensures that I always appear at my best.
The noise-reducing microphone on the Logitech C270 HD Webcam is another notable feature. It effectively filters out background noise, allowing for clear and uninterrupted audio during calls. This is especially important when participating in professional meetings or important conversations where clear communication is crucial. The microphone’s performance has exceeded my expectations and ensures that my voice is heard loud and clear.

The plug-and-play functionality eliminates the need for complicated installation processes or additional software. Simply connect the webcam to a USB port, and it is ready to use.
While the Logitech C270 HD Webcam delivers impressive performance, there are a few areas where it could be improved. Firstly, the webcam lacks autofocus, which means that manual adjustment may be required to maintain optimal focus. Additionally, the webcam’s stand could be more adjustable to accommodate different viewing angles. However, considering the affordable price point of this webcam, these limitations are understandable.
I looked around for ages for an affordable webcam and this one was recommended the most (even when I googled “top ten webcams”. It’s a great price, small and has a mic built in.
I use it for facebook live and I am told facebook compresses the video a fair bit anyway. But when I use it outside of facebook the quality is ace.
Eventually I will probably get a free standing Mic, when funds permit. But this is good to go. Plug and play!
So whats not to like. Cheap, small, fits on my monitor. Go get it.
