Use these for my Xbox, they plug straight into the controller with no extra adapters needed. Great sound quality. The mic is excellent as it blocks out background noise. Very happy and highly recommend it!
Seem sturdy enough. They dont fly off when you punch yourself in the face like i occasionally do whilst playing games or watching adult films and teasing your weisel at the same time.
Great surround sound with or without the usb connector. Mic is good, and you can wear them for long periods without your ears getting sweaty. Little Noise cancellation, but not a big deal.
Great Dolby High quality sounds.
Only is that the adaptor for surround effect not quite enjoying, but maybe it’s not for me, as covers all the sound effects rather.
Otherwise, recommend for budget product!
For the money, this is a good headset. Users may find that getting decent surround sound in some games might require some trial and error, but my experience has been positive. They look good (not fussy) and are light with very good sound quality – more so when using the USB dongle.
I brought this product when it was on discount, it was around 35 when I brought it.
I had a turtle beach headset before this and as that was on its way out, my cousin recommended this headset as he had it himself.
The sound quality is much better then my turtle beach one.
When my cousin was using his, his microphone was clear and I could hear him fine.
First off, a mention for the seller Home Junction, who refused to send out their headset for quality control reasons.
That’s what I call customer service!
So now on to the Logitech 432, which arrived in less than one day.
I’d spotted a problem in the Amazon listing, where the ‘wired’ version cost 40 more than the ‘wire-free’ option, but after the CS Rep checked with his resource specialist, it turned out that the ‘wired’ version was the product on offer, regardless of the product listing.
Looks like someone ought to get their listings corrected?
It arrived at around 4.30pm – around 10 hours after the order was placed – and it was a case of plug-and-play for the best sounds possible.
Highly recommended!
Very comfortable headphones and first ones I have had that don’t squash your ears as they fit inside the phones, the sound quality is very good though I just use stereo but did try the surround which I would say was okay but limited as it may only be good if a game has been created sound wise for this type of headphone, so in general better keep with stereo, and I would recommend them.
I had messed around with some cheaper alternatives, and wish I hadn’t. I was simply looking for a functional headset for gaming, and not some audiophile’s dream. I arrived at this headset and was blown away! The audio jacks work just fine, but if you want the full performance, then you need to go with the USB adapter and set it up with Logitech’s G Hub. This is easy and worth every second. The audio jacks give you stereo, but G Hub gives you surround sound, and boy does it do what it says on the tin! The test set up creates sounds from the front, sides and back, and this is EXACTLY where it sounds as though they are coming from. Whichever reviewer said that the sound is OK but that the surround sound is unconvincing must have set the headset up incorrectly. From experience, this can happen when the multi-jack is not quite fully seated – you will stll get adequate sound, but the experience is disappointing. So press the jack in really hard to the USB adapter. I cannot fault the quality of the sound, and my only slight quibble is that the volume control is not great. But these cans are superb value for the price.
Why spend a fortune on a headset when you can get these?
I once owned a much older model of these back over 10 years ago – the sound quality on both the MIC and the headphones on those were fantastic, especially for the cost.
These headphones are just as good, the sound coming out of the headphones is crisp and high quality, the quality of audio the MIC produces for listeners is also fantastic and they often tell me how easily they can hear me and how good it sounds.
The headphones also provide a sound loop where the outside is also somewhat audible so you don’t get that same sound you get if you plug your ears with your fingers and talk – sort of a booming your voice makes when your ears are plugged (just plug your ears and talk and you’ll know what I mean). You can turn off this feature if you want to drown out outside noises by pushing the microphone into the upright position, this also turns off the microphone.
Plugs for the headset is either a 3.5mm jack or you can plug it into the supplied USB plug.
I remember the older model having an issue with the joint where the headphone attaches to the headband, it looks exactly the same as the older model so I expect that issue remains – as with anything, if you look after it it shouldn’t be a problem but I wouldn’t go throwing it around.
Again, the quality both of the microphone and headphones is amazing, I love them and considering the device isn’t wildly expensive it’s worth buying if you want quality but don’t want to pay ridiculous money for it.
There’s no LED lights or anything like that but who really cares? it’s not like you can see it when you’re wearing it and you’re only paying for a novelty at that poi
It is really good and I find 7.1 surround sound quite useful and nice in games but it is not really necessary, the noise cancellation is decent because if you have loud pc’s or consoles it can get rid of the sound when wearing it and it isn’t to an extent when someone is talking around you or calling you so you can hear them but it will not be as clear without the headset, it comfortable and I can wear it for long periods of time without getting uncomfortable but on a really hot day it can get quite warm, the mic though can only move up and down but I find it quite nice that you can flip it to turn it on and off but the mic quality isn’t that good but you can connect an external mic to it with an adaptor, NOTE: you have to use the USB type A adaptor to get the 7.1 surround and not the 3.5mm jack
When I first got my G432 headset and plugged it in, I have to be honest, my first impression was not great as I was not impressed with the sound quality at all. Eventually I managed to get it to a state where I am happy with it, but it took some work…
First off, I would recommend avoiding the aux cables and going with the USB adapter wherever possible, otherwise you’re just looking at a pretty underwhelming stereo headset. The 7.1 features are essential if you want to get your money’s worth out of your G432s, but they only work if you use the USB adapter and download Logitech’s G Hub software.
Just installing G Hub wasn’t enough to get my headset performing the way I wanted it though; after enabling surround sound in G Hub you’re given a variety of Equalizer pre-sets to chose from, however none of them sounded quite right to me so I had to take some time to set up a custom Equalizer and only then was I able to get the sound quality to where I wanted it.
Unfortunately, my woes with setting up the headset didn’t end there though, as the microphone was not registering any sound while using the USB adapter, so I had to do a google search to troubleshoot the issue (going by the number of results it’s a common issue) and it took a fair bit of digging around in Control Panel, testing various settings and options before I was finally able to get the microphone working through the USB adapter. I haven’t tested the mic too extensively but it seems fairly high quality and the flip up to mute feature is very convenient.
Now that I finally have everything up and running the way I want it, I must say I am quite happy with the overall performance of my G432s. I got them to replace a mid-range Sennheiser headset which unfortunately lost sound in one ear, and I’ve found the audio quality of the G432s to be at least comparable to the Sennheisers in most areas, and they even outperform them in some regards, particularly when it comes to bass and lower frequency sounds. I will say I’m not overly convinced by the surround sound aspect of the 7.1 features though; even in the test in their own software it’s not easy to differentiate between whether a sound is supposed to be coming from say, the front or the back right for example.
The build quality of the headset seems solid. The materials are nice quality and it feels sturdy without being overly heavy. The headset is comfortable to wear (though the swivelling ear cups take some getting used to) and the noise cancellation seems a lot better than my Sennheisers, with less audio leaking out if you have other people in the same room with you as well.
Overall I am happy with my G432s now, and I hope they last me a good few years… but it’s hard to say whether I would actually recommend them given the amount of hoops I had to jump through just to get them working the way I wanted. It’s definitely not the best option for less tech-savvy users, but if you have the patience and the know-how to set them up properly, I think the G432s are a decent headset for their price range.
