It came boxed up but i W keyed it quickly and built up to hight to plug it in. Got a few quick dubs and ranked up to elite. All in all great mouse and like zero input delay. (So sorry if this wasn’t helpful but it was funny I think)
The mouse responds to your hand movement very quickly, it’s very smooth to use.
The scroll wheel is a bit loud and stiff because of it’s free scroll feature, but other than that it’s great for gaming or other types of usage
Always try to get Logitech if I can. Saw this on offer and had to get it. There are plenty of programmable buttons which make it functionally ideal for gaming. It is comfortable to use, and comes with a set of weights to install in the mouse to suit each user.
Nice size for my hand (med/lrg hands) haven’t used all the functions but in its basic set up is fantastic for gaming, with the ability to program the 6 main buttons and also some fancy options to set up scroll wheel with the normal scroll forward and back but also side to side.
I previously had the Logitech G502 proteus core and loved it, had it for a number of years however its been worn down I decided to switch up to the 502 Hero, it’s still the 502 we know and love, very comfortable and love the weight, I did use all the weights in the proteus however with this I have opted to lessen the weight and only use 2 of the available weights and its still great but I love that the option is there if I want to add more weight. The weight of a mouse has always been important to me and I love that Logitech has kept this option. I would highly recommend this mouse.
I googled best mouses for big hands and this was one of the popular choices. I bought it based on that and im very happy with my purchase. It is comfortable to use, the Logitech G Hub allows for good customization. The weights i wasn’t sure on so i just put them all in and it feels fine. I would prefer the scroll wheel to be black the grey color just doesn’t look right but thats a minor detail. I personally wouldn’t pay full price for this but on sale for 30-35 i would recommend.
I bought this to replace A.N. Other mouse that failed on me in under a year!
This mouse actually has configurable weights that can be added or removed to suit, which was exactly what I was looking for as I’m not a fan of mice that feel like they’re made of balsa wood.
I use it for productivity work all day long and also some gaming, totalling about 12 hours a day, 5 days a week.
It has configurable DPI ranging from 100 to 25,600 DPI, with buttons on the top to step up and down whatever configurable DPI values you may have set (those buttons can be disabled so you don’t inadvertently click them during use if you don’t want that functionality).
It works out of the box, and can be set from the Windows mouse settings (including light cycling) but can also be re-configured more fully with any of the buttons being programmed or disabled with the free Logitech software that can be downloaded.
It appears to have a multitude of profiles that can be set for various games if required allowing you to set various DPI values or different button assignments, and it can scan your system for Games or you can add profiles manually.
As its not wireless and probably no longer considered to be state of the art, it can be bought for a reasonable price. I paid 34.99 for mine in Jan 2024.
I will update this review if it fails in any way shape or form.
I’ve used many mice over the years and the Logitech G G502 HERO is without doubt the best I’ve ever used. I’ve used one for a couple of years and just bought a replacement after the left mouse button started becoming unresponsive. I think I have had good value for money out of the 1st and given the price, I thought it was time to replace.
Great ergonomic design and the additional buttons are great for configuring custom actions within games etc. I don’t really spend much time messing within the software as it just works how I wanted by default.
The only criticism I have is the current model does not come with a braded cable whereas the original G502 Hero did. The original cable felt more premium. Aside from this it’s identical. Given the mouse is now cheaper than the 1st one I bought, I can live with that.
Given the price, features and performance, I think this is a great purchase.
I am someone who is insanely picky when it comes to choosing my mouse. I like a heavy, premium mouse and this mouse delivers that perfectly. I used to have a Corsair Dark Core SE and I really liked it. I had it for a few years but being used essentially daily, 24/7 for almost 3+ years it did start to wear out. This mouse from Logitech though is incredible. I chose the wired one because I like wired devices more than wireless when it comes to PC equipment.
I like having some form of resistance on the mouse, and the cable and added weights add that effect perfectly. My old Corsair Mouse was wireless, but supported cabled mode. I used a cable on that mouse as well.
9.5 / 10 – could have a nicer scroll wheel. I like the scroll wheel, but I feel like it could be a bit smoother on the unlocked scroll wheel mode.
I brought this mouse as an upgrade to my cheap Amazon mouse and was not disappointed. There are many DPI options to choose from even going down to 100DPI which I was impressed with. The extra buttons are perfect for small and easy shortcuts however they’re not as customisable as I wished hence loosing a star, you are unable to dedicate game specific buttons to the mouse keys which is one of the main reasons I brought the mouse.
However apart from this slight issue it works great. The extra weights come in extremely handy when wanting the change the centre of gravity or just make the mouse heavier too.
Comfortable, responsive, and customisable – What’s not to love? I was recommended this by a friend as my first gaming PC mouse and I have no regrets buying it. I’ve since recommended it to people myself. This is worth the full price, but the prices it frequently drops to makes it a complete steal!
I probably have enough of these mice to last me the rest of my life. I bought myself an ongoing stock in case Logitech discontinue the mouse even though I am still after 7 years still using the first one. However they are so good Logitech have even made a MKII version in the form of the G502 X which I may try someday.
The mouse is really comfortable, not too many buttons and the default setup of the buttons accommodates to games well. It is plug and play in the working sense but there are features which understandably need the software such as DPI switching. However on the whole past initial setup, I have rarely needed to use the Logitech software to reprogram the mouse arrangement, but when I have it is really simple to do; it is handy as well as some pre-2010 games do not see all the mouse buttons that’s fine just change the mouse button to reporting it is a keyboard button and good to go.
I had been needing a new mouse for some time after my old one broke, I was looking for good mouse’s and stumbled upon the Logitech G502. The shape and design of the mouse is what had originally caught my eye, the feel of the mouse in your hand is amazing and the added weights also make certain games so much more easier. It has a scroll wheel feature where you can either have it scroll really fast or have controlled scrolling. The mouse has a LOT of buttons and can be overwhelming at first but you can use Logitech’s software to change the actions of the buttons and they work really well. The only issue I have with it is one of the buttons on the side which my thumb presses too much and messes certain things up however you can bind it to have no action.
I recently purchased the Logitech G502 Hero, and let me tell you, it has truly transformed my gaming sessions! As a dedicated gmaer, I’ve tried various gaming mice in the past, but the G502 Hero stands out as a true hero among them.
The first thing that caught my eye was the sleek and ergonomic design of the G502 Hero. What sets the G502 Hero apart is its exceptional performance. The HERO sensor is incredibly accurate, offering precise tracking and responsiveness. One of the standout features of this gaming mouse is the plethora of customization options. With 11 programmable buttons, I can tailor the G502 Hero to suit my gaming style.
The Logitech G502 Hero is a gaming mouse that lives up to its name. Its combination of design, performance, and customization options make it a standout choice for any gamer.
The G502 is one of the best gaming mice and I would highly recommend anybody who’s interested in buying it to go for it. Logitech never fails to impress with it’s quality and this mouse is amazing value for your money.
It’s comfortable in the hand with it’s shape and textured sides and it’s very ergonomic. You’re able adjust the weight of the mouse with its additional weights which is a huge bonus. The metal scroll wheel is also astonishing, with the option to have a locked solid scroll or a smooth free scroll. The mouse also comes with more than enough programmable buttons, all placed comfortably around the mouse.
The only negative thing I have to say about this mouse is that it doesn’t have a threaded wire which would definitely make the wire more durable but aside from that, it’s a 10/10 mouse.
Its probably my 4th g502 as my mouse of choice over many years. My last one was smashed by accident and did not work after anymore. So i ordered new one as always and its all the same and great but i didn’t realise its an updated version or new released one. Compared to my old Proteus model, this Hero model is all the same but the cable is not braided and as a result feels extremely cheap. Sad story but g502 Proteus is not being sold anymore.
Logitech and the deals they provide have helped shape my gaming setup more than you could imagine the features provide in this price range make this product the best bang for the buck fully recommend
Extremely good gaming mouse, I’m getting more kills than before on Overwatch! Lol. My old G305 mouse wasn’t great and accurate. This item is far better and works well for used condition.
Got this mouse on sale to replace my good old G402 that I’ve had for a solid 3 years. And my, the build quality is what struck me first. The heavy and strong design of this mouse feels like you’re holding something only the very rich could experience haha. Oh and the rest is also pure luxury to game with especially if you have large hands. Will definitely recommend this mouse and anything Logitech has to offer (except the keyboards) lol.
This mouse is super comfortable and packed with features. Great for coming with the customisable buttons and also for work with being able to make macros to speed things up (more time for gaming!)
I have had this mouse for quite a long time now, and it is amazing. The software that comes with it is easy to use and can customize the mouse very well. you can adjust the mouse speed by just tapping a button on the side of the mouse for easy changing. The mouse is very worth it and the weights can be easily adjustable.
Great mouse – just getting used to the ergonomics of it. Have been so used to the microsoft intellimouse shape for so long and this one seems a little thinner. Its not uncomfortable at all, just not as comfortable for me personally as the intellimouse, although this may change with time.
Loads more buttons on this mouse when compared to the last one which can be useful.
Incredible value, one of the best mouses in this category.
Bought to replace my tears old R.A.T gaming mouse. Does a wonderful job, many different settings etc, lovely weight once you add them to suit yourself. BEST of all it that it sits perfectly in my small hands!!
feels good in my had and is verry light but you are able to add weight if u want it heavie
Feels good in the hand but I don’t feel I’m getting full value out of the multi speed function.
Comfortable to hold and use, buttons give nice feedback, several DPI options and the Velcro cable tidy is a nice feature.
The mouse is good just the cable is a bit stingy it gets in the way but other than that its good
Great product. Great service. Excellent seller!
Arrived in excellent condition, quick ship, good price, good quality, recommended 100%. Will do business with you again.
I’ve recently been diagnosed with De Quervains in my right hand. This means I can no longer use a controller for games. I wanted a mouse with more buttons so that I could remap more actions in Destiny 2 to them rather than the keyboard, as I’ve never really played a shooter with KBM.
This mouse is perfect for what I needed, super clicky buttons, easy to remap using GHub and certain games have premade setups already loaded. Comfortable to hold and doesn’t aggravate my hand.
I bought the Logitech G502 Hero Wired mouse after reading the rave reviews online and I have to say, it’s worth every penny. This mouse is amazing! It has a comfortable and ergonomic shape, a durable and braided cable, a responsive and accurate sensor, and a customizable RGB lighting. It also has 11 programmable buttons, a dual-mode scroll wheel, and a weight tuning system. It can run any game or software from any genre or platform. It’s like having a Swiss army knife in my hand. It’s so versatile and powerful. I can do anything I want with this mouse, from browsing the web and editing photos to gaming and coding. I can also adjust the settings and profiles of this mouse to suit my preferences and needs. It’s so easy and convenient. This mouse is so awesome, I can’t use any other mouse. I use it everywhere I go, even on my laptop and tablet. I don’t need a touchpad or a trackball anymore. I just need this mouse.
While not quite the same as the first one I bought (the older one had a better wire and was a little more weighty) it still does the job.
I found these mice about 4 years ago now and I haven’t looked back since. When I wear one out I buy another.
Now the New Hero X is out these have cone down in price considerably.
I have small artists hands and have always struggled with mice. I’ve never felt they fit my hands comfortably, but the Hero 502 fits like it was made for my hand. The features it has are everything I need from a mouse. The Side Thumb buttons are just where I need them.
For the Gamer there are many game profiles with individual game macros you can load for each game. It’s just a great mouse. I highly recommend.
I am still adjusting to the higher dpi, but the mouse works very well and the weights in the base make it feel like it’s actually there, the led lights are nice but not distracting when using.
I bought this to replace the wireless MX master 2. I wanted a wired mouse as the input lag had gone strange on the MX master making it hard to click things (I think I have too many wireless signals bouncing around the office)
Not as ergonomic as the MX master and I really miss the side scroll wheel (Can still do side scroll by moving the middle button left and right, But not as good as a wheel)
Haven’t used it for gaming but feels like it would be really good, Nice and precise
On first impressions, the mouse is well made, with a good feel of comfort, the added weights to suit personal choice make it easy to get the right feel. The scroll wheel is unlockable for speedy scrolling, but when locked on it gives a nice solid feel to each scroll, much better than the all too often soft touch of many mice that claim to be for gamers, no more accidental double jumps, important if you use the wheel for weapon changes or defense moves. The numerous buttons are all programmable for personal choices in your games and add to the pleasure of having a true gaming experience in a mouse that is so reasonably priced. Having many key bound commands easily in reach of a finger or thumb means less having to leave your direction keys when you need to move and attack/defend simultaneously. I would recommend this mouse to any gamer, whether casual or competitive, easily on par with my older mouse that was more than twice the price. Will be getting a second as a spare before they are gone.
I’m no expert but this mouse does everything I want with no issues, I like it.
The crazy pricing is I’m sure in part to make you feel like it’s a bargain, my advice is only buy on sale for 30ish. If you are spending more than that you can get more features and benefits from other products.
Good points:
1. Pretty good for daily 3D CAD use (9+ hours per day, five to seven days per week)
2. Fits quite nicely in my palm
3. The interface for programming the buttons is good
4. Have been using it for about a year now and is still working the same as when I first bought it. Haven’t experienced the ‘double clicking’ problem with this mouse (yet)
5. Price is good compared with other gaming style mouses
Bad points:
1. Can’t get the programmable buttons to work over a VPN to my office. Have already asked my IT colleagues and they didn’t know how to solve this. Just for comparison, I have another mouse (the Swiftpoint Z) and the programmable buttons on that mouse do work over the VPN.
2. Having smaller hands relative to most people (I am 5’5″ tall), my thumb isn’t long enough to reach the sniper button, without having to lift my palm off of the mouse. My index finger isn’t long enough to reach the button furthest forward of the mouse. I would prefer if both of these buttons could be moved about 10mm or so rearward to make them easier to reach for smaller hands
The Logitech G502 Hero is one of the best gaming mouse’s I have ever used. The first feature of the mouse which I would like to talk about is the silent clicks and the scrolling which I think is exclusive to Logitech gaming mouse’s. The clicks are practically inaudible unlike some other gaming mouse’s I have tried like the Razer Basilisk V3 which have very loud clicking noises which I cant handle. This is just personal preference, but if your deciding between a razer gaming mouse and a logitech gaming mouse I would go for a logitech one as their clicks are generally quieter. The second feature I want to talk about is the Software which I think is good and there are many colour modes and dpi settings that you can select for your mouse. Ive seen better software though from Razer for example the enormous amount of rgb colours you can choose from and the seamless integration of the Razer ecosystem. To sum it up, I think the Logitech G502 is a good gaming mouse for gamers wanting quieter clicks but if you prefer better software and more features I would look at some Razer mouses.
This is virtually the same product as I bought before, and I had been very happy with this model, until the mouse wheel stopped working. I know that you can replace the mouse wheel, but I couldn’t be bothered with dismantling the whole thing, so I went to Amazon and found this great deal. The one difference is the wire is no longer braided and therefore lacks the protection that brings. I know this is to save costs at Logitech, but it makes it feel cheaper. I’ll see how long this one lasts, and that will affect my future choices for buying a mouse.
My old Razor gaming mouse was so old, they no longer made the replacement for the replacement – – due to nerve damage, I need something heavy and large to damp out nerve shakes.
This is NEARLY ideal; my only issue is the mouse wheel, you can breathe heavily on it and it will turn – nearly.
Great for scrolling through huge webpage lists, not so good for zooming in/out in games; where you either end up looking at the back of your head, or zoomed out far enough to see the entire continent.
The software package to adjust the dpi is also very confusing and unintuitive.
Due to the nerve damage, I cant use any of the extra buttons, so I cant comment on them, but the click seems positive enough on all of them.
If I had a grumble? With my old mouse, the LED colours showed the dps setting you were on, and quickly move through the various options using a button ON the mouse; here you have to mess with the set up software.
