Excellent keyboard .. connects seamlessly, and doesn’t use much battery .. very impressed
It’s amazing, fits perfectly and it looks amazing like I have a mini laptop not an Ipad.
Good build quality. No need to install anything. Takes its charge from the iPad, fits perfectly in a 9th gen iPad. Tough and rugged so drops are no problem. Keyboard feels natural on the fingers.
I would highly recommend the Logitech Rugged Folio keyboard to anyone in need of a durable and versatile keyboard that can protect their tablet while providing a comfortable and efficient typing experience. While it may be a bit more expensive than other keyboards, its rugged design, and user-friendly features make it a great investment for anyone who values durability and functionality.
A great product and really does protect the iPad. I can’t get it back out again though!!!! Seriously a great item
Excellent item my daughter hasnt stopped using it perfect for her college work
+ This is a great case for my iPad. It has met my expectations and everything I had hoped for. It turns the iPad into a mini laptop (with limitations), looks great and feels well made. The way the iPad case connects to the keyboard by the Smart Connector is very precise and almost magical.
– It adds quite a bit more weight to the iPad but the upside is the case gives the iPad great protection. I’m disappointed that a User Manual is not included in the package as it will help greatly. I’m unable to find the User manual on Logitech’s site which is another disappointment, other than third party’s site which requires a payment subscription.
So it’s a case of trial and error in my learning of how to use this excellent keyboard case.
Very nice piece of kit. Totally transforms an iPad into a mini-laptop (and back again in an instant). Just Very Good! Usually use a MacBook but with one of these I can do pretty much anything I need on my iPad gen 9.
Magnetic attachment is super swish and easy. Very strong hold. The keyboard is small for obvious reasons but still very easy to type on. Case is slightly on the bulky side and definitely adds some weight, but it does mean the iPad is well protected.
This keyboard is perfect for work. iPad fits perfectly and its compact so easy to carry every day. I’ve had it for 6 months now and the battery still hasn’t died. The key boards have a nice click to it. I would definitely recommend.
Will be using these products in the future if needed to do so.
I finally found what I was looking for! More expensive even though I got it on offer and arguably less attractive than some others, nonetheless the quality of this shines through. I had bought the Inatek which was okay but far too heavy for me, this is half it’s weight so easy to use on my knees. The magnet that holds the screen in place is superb making the whole thing very stable. Love it, really happy with it.
I was having such issues with this and was about to send it back thinking the worse!
Thankfully, the company called me and talked me through the issues I was having. We managed to get it all set up and working which makes me a very happy customer.
So glad I bought from a company I could actually speak with in this county; what a difference.
Been using this keyboard case for a few months now and have found it excellent. It effectively turns an iPad into a mini-laptop, …a laptop that is 100% silent and charges off USB. It stays open when you want it open and stays closed when you want it closed. Can’t really fault it.
I’d had a 40 Bluetooth keyboard and case with my previous iPad, which was fine, but the bulk of the keyboard folded back when I was using it as a tablet did bug me a little, so I’d often take the iPad out of the case altogether when I didn’t need the sudo-laptop setup. This case uses the connections on the side of this 9th gen iPad (they’ve just launched a new version this month) along with the magnetic connection to hold the keyboard in place. The keyboard is a good size and has good key press action. The tracker pad is handy too. It folds to cover the screen, protecting it well, staying in place, and putting the tablet to sleep.
The case itself and it’s flip out stand are equally well made, fitting the iPad perfectly, with cutouts all around for connections, the camera, the mic, and speakers. It works great as a laptop style setup on a desk or resting on a cushion or tray, but less well directly onto your lap. However, the removable keyboard transforms it back into a tablet for easy use on the sofa in-front of the tele!
At 100 it was way better value than the Apple version, and for me, it was worth the extra over the 40 folding folio version. I’ve only had this iPad for 6-7 months and will keep this setup for at least another 2-3 years, so I’ll definitely get the extra usage out of it! The only niggle, and it’s a small one, is that the sealed edges of the fabric have some sharp edges. Not shape enough to cut you, but just bad enough to detract ever so slightly.
Would still score it a 95% overall!!!
Purchased for my daughter’s Gen 9 IPad which she takes to school and I needed a heavy duty case with a keyboard. In addition, I fitted a JETech screen protector. It makes for quite a heavy tablet, but it’s a great fit, the keyboard works great and offers excellent protectio
It’s getting harder to get keyboards for old iPads and the Apple one is rubbish and expensive so this is a good option. It works OK but a bit pricey. The keys fall off quite easily and there is no way to stick them back. When you lose three or four it is very hard to type.
I bought this to improve productivity on my iPad, and it definitely does that. Unfortunately it’s not as nice to use or type on than the Apple official keyboards, and feels quite expensive for what it is (it feels quite cheap and plasticky). Time will tell how is stands up to use, but it does feel like a key will pop off. The other thing I don’t like about the keyboard is it’s really bulky, and feels like it’s doubles the size and weight of the iPad, which can be very annoying and noticeable. That being said it’s quite nice to type on, and has met the requirements (I would prefer a way to hide the pencil loop, but that’s not a biggie!)
I purchased this product for my nephew and he loves it, and recommends. He uses ipad for all his school works. He says he would definitely recommend and found it a lot easier to get his school work done faster, giving him more time do do other things, and will definitely help be useful in future.
I so much wanted this to be worthwhile. Keyboard works fine and has a nice feel to it. However after first couple of weeks the magnetic attachment for the keyboard became weak, meaning it kept dropping off every single time I opened it up. Just became annoying. Kept it though as I’d junked the box and sporadically need a keyboard.
I purchased this for my my new ipad 9. I rarely use the touchpad but this combo was available at a reasonable price. I am used to typing with 2 hands and this keyboard allows me to type as if I were using a larger laptop. It reacts quickly with no discernible delays using the smart connector. The keyboard detaches easily when I need to use the ipad standalone – on my lap for example, and ingeniously re-attaches even more easily using its magnetic catch. My only criticism would be that when opening the case, you also have to pull out a flap at the rear to stand the screen in the required position. It’s a pity that they could not have found a way to position the screen without this flap. All in all though, this is an impressive case as one woud expect from the pricing.
Nice solid case, iPad went in easily. Then message on screen that the software for the keyboard is not available in my country.
Found the app in UK App Store but it would not recognise the keyboard. Logitech help Bot total waste of time as was their FAQ.
Keyboard unable to use arrow keys and on screen keyboard kept popping up. Total frustration.
Eventually found that the app is not needed to control the keyboard as all functions now included in the Apple keyboard menu. Also you need to go into the Accessibility menu and turn off Full Keyboard Access.
At last fully working keyboard.
Note the app has just been updated and does recognise the keyboard but appears only to be used to keep firmware up to date.
Trackpad, backlit keys and special function keys make this fun and easy to use.
Case does add quite a bit of size and weight, as expected. Being able to separate the keyboard from the screen and still have the support stand attached to the screen is useful.
I wanted a laptop feel with the ability to just use the screen at times with the Apple Pencil. So it does everything I want.
Glad I persevered, very happy with the result. If you want to retain a slim light iPad this is not for you. But if you want a real keyboard and trackpad then this provides in spades at a good price especially compared to Apples own.
First of all, the build quality is great. Care has been taken in the design and it looks incredible (I have the grey one). The kick stand at the back allows the iPad to be very versatile. Some people may not like the exterior design but I find it looks very clean and allows for comfort while typing as the design extends to the keyboard. Very thoughtful for Logitech to add a pencil holder for those that use it. It’s a bit on the thick/heavy side but for me that gives me confidence with regards to protection.
Secondly, most likely the reason people will be interested in this product, the keyboard. While it takes some time to get used to coming from a full-sized computer keyboard, the keyboard feels very nice to type on – you can tell it’s a Logitech product. You may at first find it quite cramped but as you use it you will get used to it. While the keyboard isn’t the sturdiest, it will be fine for most people; as long as you’re not deliberately bending it. The keys are backlit which allows for low-light typing which is convenient. There is a little bit of light-bleed but as long as you don’t have the backlight on full you will hardly notice it. The function row is very helpful for media control and brightness/backlight controls etc. The trackpad isn’t the largest so I’d recommend going into the iPad keyboard settings and turning that cursor speed right up
Only negative I’ve come across really is that it’s not the best for lap usage. I’m 6’1″ with long legs and I thought I’d manage, but I was wrong. The bottom of the keyboard to the kickstand will not fit on many people’s laps – although you may be able to but with incredible discomfort. So if you’re going to buy this, I’d say it’s best on desk or table.
Overall, a very worthwhile product to consider. I’ve found I’ve been able to use my iPad in more ways with the added versatility. It’s good for anyone who is on the go or a school/college student and could do with a keyboard to type on.
If you’re struggling for space or don’t want to shell out for a new laptop then this is the way to go! It basically transforms your iPad into a MacBook!
iPadOS isn’t as comprehensive as MacOS but you can mostly do the same things. Sometimes multitasking is an issue but it’s a great companion for school/uni etc.
The keyboard feels great, very similar to a MacBook keyboard. It works instantly and you don’t have to charge it up for anything. Just magnets onto the iPad and away you go!
The backlight on the keyboard is a god send, and the fabric shell (which I thought would ruin easily and get dirty) still looks as good as new!
I’m all about looks, and I have to say this may not be the sexiest looking keyboard case. That’s said, it shouts out quality!!
It’s a little bulky, but it does feel extremely well built and protective. It turns the iPad into a solid mini laptop and has all the integration with iOS. E.g. a lot of cheap keyboard out there can’t wake/sleep the screen automatically but this one does.
I’m overall very happy with the purchase. I did think about buying the variance with a touchpad, but it’s doubling the price and heavier to carry. So the slim version is good for me!
I wanted to turn my iPad into a laptop, to reduce the weight of my bag while travelling. Upon fitting the Logitech Combo Touch to my iPad my first impression was “great product, very functional, but a bit heavy, just slightly lighter than my laptop”. However, it is about 1Kg lighter than my laptop, which is a lot when it comes to portable devices.
I am vey happy with this product, I only fit it to the iPad when I need it, together with a bluetooth mouse, it’s the perfect travelling companion. And, with Office 365, there is nothing I can’t do on the work front and enjoy Apple apps at the same time.
We are now on our third one of these because after a while the keys fall off. The first lasted 6 months, the second one 9 months. All has been covered by Logitech’s warranty though with full replacements so I’m not out of pocket; their customer service has been excellent. I still like it but not sure if I would actually buy another as for the money I’d like something more durable.

Very impressed with this. The keyboard feels unexpectedly solid and sturdy to type on- much like a regular Mac magic keyboard If I’m honest. The iPad side of it is held in place with a strong magnet that locks it into position and is held very securely. It’s not so great for typing on your knee like a regular laptop as it’s back/heavy, but on a flat surface (even a lap tray) it’s very stable. You basically just flip it open and the whole thing works straight away- no waiting for it to link up or anything. And the screen powers off automatically when you close it. It’s also constructed so there is a gap between keyboard and screen when it’s closed so you won’t cause wear and tear on the touch screen. The pen holder is a loop of vinyl which also accommodates the Logitech Mac Crayon. Doesn’t seem flimsy though so hopefully that should hold up. Altogether I’m really impressed. Especially as there’s a dedicated home button on the keyboard which makes it feel and work like a touch-screen laptop. Altogether works really well for my son to take to school as he can use it for typing, and then flips the keyboard behind when he uses it as a digital notebook with the Mac crayon, or as an e-reader. He even stuck the apple sticker on the back of it which looks pretty integrated. So impressed. Plan to buy this setup again for our daughter as she will also need to be tech-ed up for her school in September.
Excellent item for turning the iPad into a mini laptop. I was looking for a case with a keyboard and decided to buy this pricier item over the cheaper generic options found elsewhere on Amazon. The keyboard has a good typing action and I found that I can touch type really quickly. There is plenty of travel (certainly relative to my MacBook). The keyboard only switches on and connects when the magnet clicks into place which is good. Closing the ‘lid’ puts the whole system into sleep mode which is handy. I also have the Logitech ‘crayon’ which just about squeezes into the flap at the top – though it was clearly designed for the official Apple Pencil. As others have noted it’s not exactly slim and does add weight and heft, though maintains the small ipad footprint, so easily fits into a bag. There is only one viewing angle and it’s a little unstable on the lap (though putting a book underneath steadies it nicely. I’d happily recommend as it does add functionality to the ipad and seems reliable and well made.
