After most of the letters and numbers had worn off our previous Novatech illuminated keyboard, I looked for a replacement and chose this one as it had good reviews, a reliable name and it was Amazon’s choice at a discount. I have found it pleasant to use, the only minus point being that one of the folding legs collapses occasionally – better if they were fixed as the angle they give is about right?
This was bought to replace a keyboard where the keys were sticking. At first it seemed a bit stiff which is an issue as I touch-type, but after a little while, it freed up with use and is now very responsive. There is a nice subtle click sound to the keys also. It has a full sized number pad also. Very pleased with it.
Why would I buy anything less than a Logitech, It’s my third board and won’t
be the last. (I broke the other two, temper temper, and look forward to breaking this one in the future)
A solid board (hard to break) with quiet keys and perfect for gaming.
Praise the Board, Praise Logitech and praise the followers who use them.
Buy one now
But don’t break it!
Unless one’s buying something with exotic mechanical switches I suppose one keyboard is much like another. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, keystrokes are positive and produce a reassuring click and although it does not boast any ergonomic features I have found I can use this fror several hours a day without fatigue. I’d say it was a worthy competitor to the old Microsoft wired keyboard.
There is not a lot you can say about a Wired Key Board, it does what it says. There is a good length of cable and it has 2 clips to raise the top of the key board if required. It’s a Logitech so there are no problems.
I don’t use it for gaming, so I have no idea what it like, but as a normal Key board it’s great and the price was good.
I work on the keyboard every day – and these last a couple of years of constant bashing. For the price, cant be beaten … I replace when the keys begin to stick. I could spend more, but honestly, I am perfectly happy with a bog standard keyboard that just works. And this does exactly that.
Its an inexpensive keyboard. That’s about it really. Does what keyboards do. Inexpensively. Seems to work ok, cheap one for the laptop while I wfh. However, cheap though it may be I did expect a new one. The model I have just received has 5 delivery labels on the box! One underneath mine dated 12/11 and 3 wrapped round the side, and even has 2 yellow driver labels on it. And it’s been taped shut at least twice. When I opened the box the device wasn’t in the plastic bag either, just lying on top of it. This kind of thing really winds me up with amazon and amazon dealers, not the first time it’s happened either. If you send me a used device don’t charge me for a brand new one! If I pay for a new one then send a new one please!
I’ve owned a lot of Logitech PC peripherals over the years including keyboards, mice, speakers, joypads and webcams and their kit is exceptional value. For 10, it’s hard to criticise anything about this keyboard. Yes, it’s plasticy. Yes, the key switches are membrane rather that mechanical. But for occasional use (for me, hooked up to my Thunderbolt docking station to allow me to use my laptop on a big monitor at home) these are fine. Sure, I don’t recommend this for gaming, and you wouldn’t want to type out the next War and Peace on it. For home office though (emails, web browsing, document editing) these are fine.
I needed a new keyboard with USB as I’d been using an old Fujitsu keyboard with a 6 pin PS/2 connector which didn’t work for hot-swapping between two systems.
My eyes were on getting a gaming keyboard, but wasn’t quite ready to make the jump on such an expensive purchase, so I was looking for a budget option to use for now then retain as a spare in the future.
Having read loads of reviews on Keyboards from different manufactures, the Logitech K120 seemed the ‘safe’ option….and I’m pleased to say this has proved to be the case.
It”s really quite sturdy, the rubber grips at the front and on the rear adjustable feet do an admiral job at stopping the keyboard from sliding about.
The keys have a nice amount of travel and I find it comfortable to type on. It’s not a loud keyboard, but nor is it silent. The sound produced is pleasant, not overly ‘clicky’.
If you’re looking for a ‘budget’ option, then look no further. In fact, this keyboard is more premium than its price-tag.. I only wish a version existed of this exact keyboard, but with a few media control buttons and another to bring up the calculator!
As with mice the keyboard is what you use when making your computer do useful stuff. A cheap keyboard will destroy your soul and make you life a misery, spending a bit more on a decent one is an absolute no brainer. I’ve got kids and despite what you ask/tell them they will eat and drink at the computer when you’re not looking so the ability to shrug of liquids was a selling point. Other than that this keyboard doesn’t wobble when you type the letter comes up on the screen reliably when you press the keys and it does it’s duty in a quality unobtrusive way. Well worth the price. Why 4 and not 5 stars? I’d need to be extraordinarily impressed by a keyboard to give it 5 stars, let’s be realistic here.
This is a no nonsense keyboard. You pay for what you get and this one is very good for the price. The keys have the usual layout and feel quite firm, so they should take quite a pounding. Booting into safe mode with f8 worked for me, as did entering the BIOS with the DEL key. The keys may be hard to see for some in dimly lit environments, but the answer to that is obvious.
The only fly in the ointment for me was the late delivery (two days). I do understand this is down to the supplier and should not put you off the keyboard. Mine was delivered from Mighty Oak Trading and is different from the current supplier advertised I believe. I had two confirmed shipment dates six days apart. It finally arrived two days after the later shipment date and In total took nine days to arrive after I first placed the order. Not the end of the world, but for some it might be more important. This is why I gave it four stars and not five, to reflect the whole process from start to finish.
I only bought a Logitech K120 as a stop-gap before choosing the final keyboard -probably a Logitech Illuminated- for a new PC tower. But after a couple of weeks I find the K120 to be so nice to use that I am going to stay with it and save 70. My wife, who is a touch typist, also finds it good to use. But, of course, the choice of keyboards and mice is very much down to personal preference.
The K120 is compact, but not ultra-compact, and is perfectly suitable for a desktop business application or home office. Some images make it look a bit flashy, but it is actually quite understated. The black plastic of the frame and keys appears to be of good quality with a light textured semi-matt finish. The medium grey plastic strip running along the back is quite subtle as are the styling contours.
The K120 is described as low profile but a better description would be lower profile. It feels solid and sits securely on the desk without sliding around. The frame does not flex. Underneath two substantial arms can be flipped out to angle the keyboard. The keys are not silent, as often stated on the net, but neither do they produce a loud clack. They are full size and full travel with a reassuring tactile feel provided by rubber domes under each key. There are two windows keys, an application key, a numeric keypad to the right, and F1 to F12 keys running along the top. The keycap legends are clear and seem to be acceptably durable but only time will tell.
The USB cable is long enough at 1.5m for most PC configurations but if the keyboard is plugged directly into a tower on the floor an extension cable may be required.
In summary, the Logitech K120 is a good basic keyboard with a nice key-action and pleasant appearance. It is amazing value and is highly recommended.
