My husband was getting annoyed by the constant clicking of my previous wireless mouse . This mouse really is silent and as I have small hands it is perfect for me but someone with larger hands would still find it comfortable . I definitely recommend this mouse .
After trying a couple of other more expensive options, including the Apple Magic Mouse, I was left with an aching hand and great annoyance at their poor design and limitations. I used to have a tiny wireless travel mouse by Logitech that worked really well, so I thought I would try one of these “silent” models, and hey presto! For a fraction of the Apple price I got a comfortable, accurate, light and quiet mouse, with a scroll-wheel click to open/close tabs. Bravo Logitech – this is absolutely perfect IMO – no need to spend any more than this unless you have very specific needs: just get one of these, plug in the dongle and enjoy the lack of niggles and glitches! I’m so happy with this mouse, can’t recommend it highly enough.
Works well, sounds great and feels better than the standard Logitech mouse. It’s slightly bigger than a normal one and got a bit more rubber around it making it more comfortable.
So glad to finally get rid of that clicking……it really does make a difference!!
I can’t comment on battery life as I’ve only recently bought the mouse, but it has a nice feel to it. It fits comfortably in the hand and my fingers fall naturally into the right positions for accessing the buttons and wheel. As claimed, it is also silent in operation.
I’ve bought this mouse for work. I use it everyday.
It’s so comfortable and smooth! Battery lasts for ages, been using this for over 3 months now and never missed a beat.
Will definitely be re-purchasing this.
Bought this as a replacement for my Mother, who generally struggles with technology as a whole, but with the ability to connect via a dongle or via Bluetooth it was simple enough to connect to her laptop.
I’ve been told it’s nice and comfortable to use, quiet and it’s already helped her win more often at some of the games she plays. Granted that’s more like Tetris than Call Of Duty but it’s doing the job perfectly that it was required to do, so win win.
The box came violated as it can be seen in the pictures. As if to take what was in the back, whatever it was. According to the papers and Logitech website, nothing is really missing, so, weird.
But the mouse itself is very good for the price, very silent, works well with its USB dongle, which goes inside it in a very good place not to loose it, and it also works with my Logitech Unifying dongle I have from another mouse.
Responsive and easy to use and set up. Scroll is very good and as I do not play games is handy and convenient. Presume battery life will be good as there is an on off button.
Just plugged the dongle in on my laptop and I was away. It’s described as quiet, which it is, but there’s very little to feel either. I sometimes have to click a couple of times because I think I haven’t done it the first time. It’s not a big problem, and possibly one most of you won’t experience, but with the very low sound and a very soft feel when I click, I can’t quite pick it up. The wheel is very responsive, though, and it is a pleasure to use. So far I haven’t needed to use a mousemat. It does everything I want it to do.
I never thought I’d be so happy about a mouse! The buttons make no (or very very little) noise. Setup was very quick and easy: I just pluged-in the USB doobery and it worked right away. Feels comfy. Thank you logitech! 🙂
This mouse is awesome value. Super comfortable, very quiet, and does everything I need it to (I’m not a gamer). Will probably buy another one of these to replace my office mouse.
I use this every day for work and I’m very happy with the quality. Very quick delivery.
Great little mouse and very silent mouse clicks, hardly audible. Show have bought this cordless mouse a long time ago, highly recommended.
I use this with my laptop – it replaced an earlier Logitech mouse which I bought from ASDA for about 5 and had used for many years. I look forward to another long period of use from this reliable manufacturer.
Perfectly fits my hand (I have a pretty big hand) and I haven’t needed to recharge the batter in about 2 years. Works on pretty much any surface. So much better than any trackpad!
Really like the mouse, to be fair they do include a picture of the little plug thing but I assumed it was a bluetooth one which I think is preferable and more common then needing a plug in. Also the plug in won’t work for new Macs which seems to be an oversight. I had to buy a small adapter to convert USB to USBC
I bought this mouse because I trust the Logitech brand (and it was also on offer at a very good price in the Amazon spring sale). I already had a Logitech mouse which was still working, but it was a bit worn and at times would conk out – I think because the battery was wobbling about, which I fixed by putting a strip of kitchen paper round it. I checked how long I’d had it, and was astonished to discover I’d been using it for 10 years! I thought well, if a Logitech mouse can last 10 years with only a bit of wobble around the battery, then it’s Logitech for me again. I hope the new one is as good as the old one, and I’m keeping the dear old one as a spare.
It’s a cheap mouse, but it works nicely. After a while using this you start to wonder why other mice have to click so loudly. It would be great if Logitech made a premium mouse that was as quiet as this one.
It’s a good mouse, does what it says on the tin!
Silent, as promised. Early days to assess battery life.
I’m not into gaming so I can’t comment. I use it for fusion 360 but also have a 3D space pilot so ahead of the game there.
Great shape just a little on the small side for me (male) hands. very quiet, nice texture and good control but as I said more suited to medium sized male hands.
Reviewed Jan 2023:
Firstly, I’ll take some responsibility for not really researching properly. I assumed that the Logitec brand would be compatible with everything and it wasn’t!
It does say that it should work with a Mac in the specs, but thats dependent on using the supplied USB adapter (which it does say!). If you only have the newer USB C type sockets, then its either use an adaptor or it won’t work.
Again, my bad, but I guess the type of adaptor required would help.
We tried to connect without the adaptor, just using the 2.4ghz wireless, and couldn’t get that connected (I’m assuming its because the Mac is using it to connect to the Wifi, but I’m not certain about that.
Pity really, the mouse felt solid and well made (typical Logitec).
Anyhow, thankful for Amazon returns, it was sent back and I assume it ended up in the Marketplace.
It’s a fair price, not particularly cheap but it’s fair, looks nice, and when it connects it works well.
The description states, “10m range”. Well no, this does not have a 10m range at all. The person I bought it for had the receiver plugged into the back of his desktop tower PC. The mouse is used with his right hand and the tower is on the left side, so it’s further away than some may have it but it’s perfectly common to have such a setup. The tower is about as close to his working space as most people would sit, so it isn’t like there’s a larger than normal space. However, the connection to the mouse (with nothing in the way other than the PC case) is not stable at that distance. I won’t bother measuring it but it won’t be any more than 2m.
I plugged the receiver into the front USB socket and that’s made it perfectly fine as it’s slightly closer.
So if you have a spare front USB socket or you’ll use the mouse on the same side of your desk as your PC is, this should make for a decent, basic and useable mouse for everyday non-gaming use. If you’ll be a little bit further away, you may want to look at something else. Alternatively, if you have a USB hub built into your monitor, you could plug the receive into that instead to shorten the distance.
I love tech. I always try to embrace new things. I love Logitech and have used their mice forever. So this mouse was pretty much as I expected, good build quality, nice and easy plug and play setup in about 30 seconds, wireless handy and a good size for the hand. I was surprised at myself perhaps to find one thing I just couldn’t take to, and that’s the silence of it. I had no idea how much I would miss the familiar click of pressing the buttons! It’s not just a moment of nostalgia… I do find it actually quite difficult at times to know if I have actually pressed it and the computer is just not responding yet or if the fault is mine. Now I know that is a first world problem, since the lag time on computers is minimal now and not like the dial up days, but still in the world where we are conditioned to expect immediacy I do inadvertently find myself clicking a second time sometimes. Partly I think it’s a combo not just of the silence but the ultra responsiveness of the buttons ie you really don’t have to be heavy handed at all, the slightest touch is enough to click but you hardly feel and don’t hear the click. Is this progress? I’m not sure.
The Logitech M330 is a full-size mouse designed to be enveloped by your whole hand. It is nicely contoured and makes it comfortable for your hand to be placed on top. Your palm and thumb will make contact with the rubber surface whilst your clicking fingers rest over standard plastic buttons. The click wheel is ratcheted and there are no other distracting buttons. On the base, you have standard gliding pads, the optical sensor, an on-off switch and the battery compartment which can also be used to store the receiver. The mouse comes complete with battery.
Connecting the mouse is plug and play, insert the USB receiver to a spare USB port and it is picked up instantly. The mouse is marketed as silent and there is no clicking sound made when pressing either the left or right mouse button. At first, this is off putting but after a few hours use, becomes normal. The mouse tracks as well as any optical mouse can. The build quality is good and there is a bit more weight than most.
The question is why you would buy this rather than a cheaper Logitech or generic mouse? I have used a couple of cheaper Logitech mice and found them to be a bit lightweight and less comfortable to hold. Although they would do the same job, the M330 will be more comfortable for longer. I have also tried a couple of cheaper generic mice. Here, the argument is more difficult. Some generic mice are just as comfortable to hold and equally well weighted. Some will also come with more buttons and features and even the silent clicking feature. I went for the M330 because I trust Logitech customer service. Quality control on many generic mice can be potluck whether you get something which is reliable. As an example, I recently purchased a well reviewed generic mouse. It appeared well built, was comfortable to hold and would have been a better mouse than the M330, had it worked. Unfortunately, it continually went to sleep within a few seconds of use. Unfortunately, such experiences are not unusual and life is just too short to worry whether a mouse will work or not. As a result, I’m back to insisting on Logitech or Microsoft for my mouse and the M330 is the cheapest wireless mouse from either brand that I would be comfortable using for long periods.
Yes, it is silent and build quality is really good.
Precision is really good, once turned on the computer picks it up in less than 1 second, first time installation is flawless without issues even on a strictly secured computer (for users with limited permissions), there is a hardware on/off switch under the mouse. It comes with a battery (AA) ready to work. Weights 91g with the battery. It is a 5 actions mouse. Left Click, Right Click, Scroll up, Scroll Down, Middle Click (click scroll wheel). It is fast and accurate, any other reviews that say the opposite, simply send the mouse back and ask for a replacement. As it is slightly smaller than the standard mouse, and especially if you have large hands/fingers, it might seem a bit awkward to get used to it.
On a side note:
a) I do not like that I have to remove the battery cover in order to get the USB dongle out, and then put back the battery cover again.
It should be under the mouse, directly accessible in a similar way Microsoft has its dongle attached to the mouse.
I find this minor detail very unprofessional for the type of office usage this mouse was mostly intended.
b) the rough sides, with the pattern, will get dirty easily and it is going to be a strangle to keep cleaning it all the time. Again, it might look good but not that much for a slick professional usage.
c) a simpler look and without the logitech logo standing out that much would make it even more professional and the perfect mouse for business, office use and client meeting.
Overall:
If you are looking for a silent mouse, this seems to be the only suitable option from a reputable vendor at a reasonable price (15.99 at Nov/2017). Minor improvements can be made (see points 1, 2, 3 above) and Logitech should consider making them as this is a product that has tremendous future in the market. The mouse technology is not rocket science in 2017 and it should be an affordable mouse that is silent and reliable. It is mentioned that the battery will last approximately 2 years due to the sleep feature that allows it to save energy. If this true then it is an good added feature to the mouse. (I haven’t tested the wake up feature just yet. I hope it wakes up fast just by moving it because if you have to click is very unreliable because you might click something that you shouldn’t accidentally). UPDATE: tested the wake up feature, you don’t have to click (which is awesome), just move it to 2 different directions (i.e. slightly left-right).
If Logitech looks to this silent mouse technology a bit closer and expands this line of silent mice with a couple more models targeting business / office usage at an affordable price, there will be no reason for someone to buy any other mouse in the future.
