I bought this for my wife, so she could work whilst our baby slept, as he is a light sleeper, but prefers her to be in the room with him whils he naps and sleeps. It is very queit and light-weight making it comfortable to use. The only issue is that it does not have lights for the keys, making it difficult to use when there is not much light. Overall, good quality – would recommend.
When I opened the Amazon package the keyboard box was open inside. The little pads on the bottom of mouse and keyboard had dirt and fluff from being placed on a table and the keyboards covered on coffee slatter…
I’m disappointed because I paid full price for new….
This is the second keyboard & mouse I have bought. The mouse is comfortable and responsive.
The keyboard is the real gem. A good level of travel on the keys with a soft feel as they are depressed. This means you get a quiet typing experience but have no worries about pushing an errant key. A pleasure to use.
It also connects seamlessly to any Microsoft PC and laptop.
When I first received this keyboard it was nice and quiet. As the months have gone on (now 4 months in) the keyboard has got nosier and the tapping key noises are starting to appear especially with the space button. Didn’t stay quite for long.
I have finally caught up with a SILENT KEYBOARD and wow is it silent. Its Logitech so i expect it to be excellent quality. So easy to get started its plug and play. I only gave it three stars for being ergonomic because there is no extension for the hands to rest on, otherwise its brillia
Ok I love it. I had a big fancy mechanical keyboard for years before and unexpectedly burned out on the rattling, I assumed this one would be quieter but i wasn’t expecting such glorious silence! It’s also a much better quality than I was expecting – the keys are firm and stable, no wiggle or tilt, which actually really helps because it turns out that not being able to hear your key strikes is a bit unnerving at first. But it’s a great keyboard, love the volume control buttons, and the mouse is nice quality and quiet too, but does still have the sensation of a click, which I’m glad of – I need to know what’s been clicked accurately and what hasn’t. An excellent purchase!
Love these well-priced logitech keyboard and mouse combos. Slim design with real keys and silent too. No overloading of the function keys. Has separate keys for multi-media. I had the previous version (with noisy keys) for 5 years. Never had a problem with connectivity. Mouse is standard design and quiet-click too. The only minor quirk I have is the lack of a num-lock indicator light. There’s one for caps-lock, so why not for num-lock too. Other than that perfect for me!
The keyboard arrived in a box that was not wrapped and completely destroyed. Miraculously the keyboard and mouse were not damaged, which is a fluke considering the damage to the box. There is no rating for this or it would have been less than 4 stars. The keyboard is great but the mouse is a little small, hence the 4 stars.
I’ve bought several of these for home and office use and everyone that’s used them have said they’re good. Both the keyboard and mouse are perfectly adequate for general office type use. The ergonomics aren’t the best but they’re good enough for the price and intended use. Battery life seems very good. I’m sure they would be fine for basic media use but probably lack the features, accuracy and ergonomics required for higher-end professional or gaming use.
Early review… got this setup to replaced a worn out wired keyboard. All I can really say is… it does what it says on the box. The wireless mouse (M220) if fine, a bit small but then again its only a two button mouse with scroll wheel, no extra buttons, no fancy LEDs etc. It works just great. Takes 1x AA batery. On/Off button underneath.
The K295 keyboard is also fine, full sized keyboard, very light, slighty flexible but considering how thin it is there will always be a little flex, extra keys along the top but BEWARE… one of them is a PC power off button.. hit it and you shutdown to standby right away !! Takes 2xAAA battieries. On/Off button on top next to the CAPS Lock indicator (there is no Num Lock indicator!). Finally….. is this keyboard quiet?? OH YES… it certainly is…. including (despite some reviews) the space bar !!
I think its safe to say this combo is great value for money, but its certainly no gaming rig accessory (no fancy lights for one thing). But for general use… and for me in MSFS, its fine.
How long will the batteries last?? Only time will tell… especially if you forget to turn the mouse and/or keyboard off… I havent ready any indication of an auto-power off/battery save feature. The box suggested a 3yr battery life for the keyboard and 2yr for the mouse.. we shall see !!!
But otherwise, this is a perfect QUIET keyboard.. even the mouse is quiet in comparision !!!
I will update this review as and when required… my only thought is how long will these nicely tactile keys last with a lot of use???
I LOVE my silent keyboard. It feels so much softer for my fingers as well.
I use a K270 at work and this K295 at my home office.
K295 is just a different level.
When I use it in my home office (which is in our bedroom), my bf can easily sleep next to it, as it is that quite.
Mouse is quite too!
I am using this for a few months now. No issues at all. I love Logitec items, my previous mouse from them is over 12 years old and it still works. So I had no concerns when I am purchasing this combo. now I have a spare mouse as this comes with mouse too. I would definitely recommend it.
The keyboard is very quiet and I found the mouse comfortable. But what impressed me the most was the customer service. I lost the dongle and they sent a replacement, however the mouse didn’t work. As it was in the warranty, they sent me a whole replacement set. I eventually found the dongle and the old mouse worked. I was really amazed as to the excellent customer service I was provided with. So rare these days 🙂
This keyboard is very nice to type on, and the mouse despite being smaller is easy to grip and feels good in your hand. My only criticism is that the caps lock key doesn’t have a light on it. There is a light at the top of the keyboard. But it’s easier to see when it’s on the key. I FIND I TYPE LIKE THIS on occasions!
I’ve never used one of these “silent” keyboards before I have to say, I’m beyond impressed with it!
It really is a pleasure to type with, really soft touch keys. I would highly recommend this keyboard, whether using it for work of pleasure it is a delight to use.
Product is lightweight but feels strong. Easy set up just plug and play. My only issue is the mouse is bit on the small side. Can be uncomfortable for me if used for a prolonged period.
I struggle to find decent keyboards are a reasonable price and have to say this one is excellent. It is very quiet as advertised yet you still get the feel of a tradiitional clicky keyboard (remeber those Cherry keyboards?).
The mouse is very light and feels a little cheap and rattly but performs well and the pointer moves nice and smoothly.
At the price, you can’t go wrong.
I love how silent the keyboard is but not that much of a fan of the mouse. It’s ergonomically uncomfortable and I’ve used a lot better cheaper brands in the past.
Well, a video isn’t a great way to tell how quiet something is as the way smart phones record means that you probably hear this louder than it really is.
I found this to be the best of four keyboard sets I’ve had since lockdown (two sent back because of the noise, one died) for quietness. It’s so quiet you can’t hear it when on video calls – useful for me as I keep notes (typing) whilst on my calls.
It feels like a robust quality item. It’s more ‘functional’ than ‘beautiful’ and it’s a full size keyboard, but that works OK for me.
I find the mouse a little chunky for my taste, but it works well and is quiet.
Very happy with this set.
Despite Logitech’s own website and a few Amazon reviews claiming that this keyboard can be used with unifying mice, I assure you it cannot. The USB receiver that comes with this mouse/keyboard combo is not a unifying receiver. Neither the keyboard or mouse will pair with existing USB unifying receivers. If you plan on buying this for the keyboard and using it with a different mouse, just bear in mind you will need to use two USB ports on your computer.
That said, the keyboards is remarkably quiet and smooth and the keys are very responsive. The mouse is also quite and smooth, but it feels very cheap. I wouldn’t use it for gaming or anything that requires precision.
It’s worth the money, but it gets just three star as it is missing features the manufacturer claims it has.
I touch-type and found the keyboard “feel” a little odd after using an older-style keyboard but got used to it quickly and now prefer it. I’m in the UK and the keyboard has a UK layout and the inverted-L (wrap around) style Enter key. It’s really good to have the LED for Caps Lock. Similarly the mouse buttons felt odd for a short period until I got used to them. It’s neat having a single USB dongle for the mouse and keyboard.
If I could make two changes, it would be make the foldable legs longer and make the keyboard on-off slide switch protrude more so it was easier to use. Over all though, I’m very pleased with the keyboard and mouse combination.
You always no that you will get a quality product from Logitech. This keyboard/mouse combination is no exception. The keyboard keys have a nice feel to them and the mouse fits comfortably in the hand and is very responsive. The battery life is excellent. The only problem was that the USB receiver was missing when I received the box. Amazon were very helpful and sent me a receiver free of charge. Unfortunately it did not work with this particular keyboard/mouse! Fortunately, I found it worked with the receiver I had from my previous Logitech keyboard and mouse. Logitech could have made things clearer in their product information as to what worked with what. Still I got there in the end and hopefully the missing receiver issue is not a common one with this product. Would still recommend this product despite my problems.
Fed up with wires on my desk which i’m using increasingly while working from home I decided to buy the Logitech MK295 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo. I spent a lot of time looking at reviews and searching for the right keyboard, Logitech make great keyboards but some are too bulky, have round keys or no number pad so this keyboard felt like the best of both worlds and so far I’ve very happy with it.
I use the keyboard mainly on 2 devices, my work laptop and my desktop gaming PC. The big plus for me is that I can swap quickly between the 2 by moving the USB dongle between the 2 devices – no more messing around at the back of the PC with wires!
The Keyboard is very comfortable to type with and quiet. The keys are a good size with plenty of travel, and the keyboard is very stable so feels a big step up from my laptop keyboard and having a full size number pad is a big plus too. Despite being a full sized keyboard Logitech have managed to keep any surrounding plastic bezels to a minimum and as a result the keyboard doesn’t use up a lot of desk space and can easily be put to one side when not in use.
I haven’t used the mouse as i have another more premium logitech mouse. The one in the bundle looks fairly basic and I haven’t felt the need to try it out but i’m sure it’ll work fine.
Overall, this has improved my working from home experience, I love not having trailing wires and it feels a big step up from a laptop keyboard so i’d happily recommend this keyboard to others.
I am very pleased with this MK295 keyboard and mouse bluetooth wireless set.
I have seen some reviews that expressed concern about loss of communication between keyboard/mouse and the bluetooth receiver. I did have this problem at first, but moved the little receiver thing using a usb extension lead. I am not sure whether the problem was line of sight or proximity to other wireless devices (cordless home phone, computer bluetooth or wifi) but I do suggest to move it if you are having problems.
On the positive side, both keyboard and mouse have on/off switches to assist with battery life. The keyboard is full size QWERTY with numeric keypad and genuine UK layout. There is a caps lock light but no num lock light. Additional keys above the usual F1 through F12 provide media control (volume up/down/mute and pause/play only) plus quick launch for browser, email and, bizarely, calculator. The additional keys are not programmable.
The keyboard is excellent quality with good positive key presses, ridge marks on the home keys (F and J) all of which makes typing with more than two fingers a good experience. I like that there is no key click.
The mouse is a two-button plus scroll wheel which is also a third button. It is a shame that it is a mini mouse, somewhat smaller than the classic mouse I am used to, but certainly not unusable. It takes some getting used to but if you want to use on a laptop and lug it around, its size could be an advantage. If you do want this kit for mobile use, then I recommend using the holder in the mouse battery compartment to avoid losing it. (Some reviewers did not find this handy little compartment).
Logitech advertise it as lag-free but I disagree. Playing an ancient game of pinball I can confirm the response time is a bit slower, just a fraction, but enough that I cannot time the paddle things, so cannot reccommend for gaming.
Overall if you want a wireless keyboard & mouse set, with a single bluetooth receiver, I recommend this set for all applications except gaming.
