This was 140 cheaper than the Magic Keyboard and whilst still an expensive purchase it is worth every penny. A perfect fit with good protection. I like that you can detach the keyboard to use it just in the protective case. The construction feels quality and multiple viewing angles can be achieved with the kickstand. Keys feel responsive as does the trackpad. The row of function keys is something the Apple Magic Keyboard doesn’t provide. Get one you won’t regret it.
Case is amazing fits like a glove. It has all the correct cutouts and closes with magnets so it lock shut. Won’t open if dropped. Great the way the keyboard detaches and can be reversed when iPad is being used in tablet mode. Love the fold out stand that allows you to alter the angle of the screen. Than mouse pad has all the same functions as the screen for multi finger gestures. There’s a cut out for the pen great case and great price on Amazon as it was cheaper than buying it direct from the Apple Store.
Ease of installation, utility value and functionality for the price at which it is being offered, makes this product one of the Logical options for IPad pro!
I’ve been really used to using my iPad without a keyboard, so had to adapt to using a keyboard again, although I don’t find it always necessary. I find the casing quite heavy compared to previously when I just used my leather case. I also don’t find it as comfortable to use in bed or on my lap as it is without the keyboard attachment, so tend to have to sit at a table or work near a surface, which isn’t always convenient. I’ve also had some issues where the curser just disappears off the screen and I can’t get it back, so I have to revert to using the touch screenthen it just returns. This may be to do with a connection issue between the iPad and keyboard, where the keyboard has stretched out too far, so I’ll keep and eye on that in case there is a fault. I’m pleased with my purchase as it makes some of the apps that I use much more user friendly, on the advise of my son, but I certainly don’t use the keyboard all of the time.
It’s certainly worth noting that there are several advantageous features of this product that could prove highly appealing to certain users. The cloth-like material, for example, is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional. It provides a firm grip, an extra layer of protection, and notably, it manages to stay clean. In terms of typing, the keyboard may not entirely compete with the Mechanical Keyboard (MK) standard, but it still ensures a pleasurable experience with respect to key travel and comfort – possibly around 85% of what an MK offers. The function keys are notably efficient. Furthermore, if you primarily intend to use this product on a desk or a table, its deficiency in lap-compatibility may be inconsequential to you. An additional benefit to consider is its cost-effectiveness, as it is priced 120 lower than the Magic Keyboard.
It’s very solid and well made the keyboard is as good as Apple’s own branded one but uniquely has a number of buttons where the f/keys would normally reside allowing you to control the brightness and volume play stop rewind forward on/off , it has a couple of advantages in that the keyboard is detachable or reversable, the trackpad is also as good as Apple’s and it has a kickstand which is angle adjustable it looks great has a woven fabric covering which feels fab to touch it’s also quite grippy which means it’s unlikely that it would slip from your hands the device doesn’t require charging as it doesn’t have a battery instead it connects directly via charging pins on the ipad Pro itself and uses the Ipad Pro’s own battery that said it doesn’t require much power despite having a backlit keyboard, the only downside is it’s quite heavy considering how light the 11 inch ipad Pro is, but the pro’s outweigh the con’s for me because the Logitech Combo Touch protects the ipad Pro on all sides making it a very safe bet if protecting your ipad Pro is important to you, I highly recommend i
I liked robustness and protection provided, however the added weight is slightly more than expected. Great product though and good value for money.
High quality and easy to attach has not worn down over time. I would say good purchase for price.
Very neat keyboard, rugged case providing good protection for the iPad Pro, and has a lovely touch to the keys and trackpad. Very easy to set up and use indeed. Needs a slightly larger footprint than the Apple product but at a very much lower price. Works absolutely fine for me. Excellent value. Highly recommended.
Bought this to replace Apple’s own smart keyboard folio which I found disappointing in quality (rubber coating disintegrating) and functionality (keys too close to the screen, so inadvertent touching of the screen when typing was a frequent problem). The logitech combo is a better made product with the versatile option of removing the keyboard leaving an integrated stand for the ipad. I am very happy with the quality and funtionality, the only negative being that the extended footprint means it is a little less easy to use on the lap than the Apple options.
If you want your iPad Pro to be a true laptop replacement this is a fantastic addition. The fact it uses the Smart Connector so its powered from the iPad is brilliant. I like the cross weave texture too as this wont show marks or stains unlike a black or grey colour. I have just got an iPad Pro to act as a replacement for my MacBook that I will probably keep but use at home where this iPad and keyboard will come around with me.
The magnetic clip for the keyboard is also great and very strong. Overall I’m very impressed with the keyboard and case its robust and looks like it wont stain.
Very nice little keyboard folio with the trackpad. Sometimes I’m witnessing some lags when I’m typing but I guess these might be connectivity issues. It is overall a very good alternative to the original apple folio keyboard and costs half the money. Well done Logitech
Was going to buy the apple one and so glad i didnt. This is honestly a brilliant device. I used bluetooth keyboards for years…but the pairing and the lag was a pain. This just connects with a snap and its good to go.
with the trackpad and very accurate key strokes. I can now use my ipad like a laptop. I have improved efficiency with it by a ton. Absolutely essential for me from here on.
Excellent case, the kickstand provides an array of viewing angles. The fact you can detach/attach the keyboard with ease is so useful. I was using the Apple Magic Keyboard before this and in my opinion this is an upgrade overall for a lower price.
Keyboard and trackpad feel identical to my M1 MacBook Pro – doesn’t feel like a hack job. It turns the iPad is mini computer and I wish I had bought one sooner! When using it, the iPad screen feels larger as there is no on-screen keyboard occupying precious real estate.
The use of the Smart Connector means that it’s plug and play. No batteries or bluetooth connectivity to worry about. It just works instantly without any latency. a bit bonus is the row of media control – Something that I wish my M1 MacBook Pro had instead of a Touch Bar.
Detaching the keyboard is dead easy when you want to use the iPad casually as a tablet.
I had concerns about the choice of material but it’s durable soft plastic that gives the visual impression of texture. So far, it been hard wearing and not a smudge, dirt magnet at all.
The typing on this device is great, it’s comparable to a good quality laptop. It drain the battery a bit faster, but still at a good rate. The touchpad is good, but it takes a bit to get used to use it instead of the screen.
The keyboard + the cover are very bulky, they almost double the thickness of the iPad. They are detachable though, and the cover provides good protection to the device.
In all honesty this is a brilliant product, premium in everyway, well made, love the snap on and off feature, tablet is well protected, keyboard/trackpad is brilliant but a couple of negatives have meant I have had to send this back for a refund.
First of all the kickstand whilst very well made adds a lot extra ‘using space’ to the tablet. It means you need extra room at the back so when you extend the stand out you have something to rest it on, if you on a table etc not a problem but sitting on a chair or sofa and just having you legs/knees to rest the stand on means it becomes very awkward to use as a laptop without a work space.
The second issue is that despite being advertised as compatible with my ipad (ipad pro 2018 model) the speaker cut outs do not align properly and more than half of the speaker holes for each of the 4 speakers are covered by the case which is very annoying.
Begrudgingly sent mine back but if you can live with those issues its a much cheaper and equally as well made a product as Apples.
Absolutely love it!
It is perfect, i can only say good things, it was my best buy in a while!
Definitely worth the money!!
I love that the keyboard can be removed. Also when it is folded behind the screen, the ipad doesn’t connect to it, so I can just use my ipad screen to type and hide the keyboard.
I have Ipad Pro 11 inch 2020 and it works perfectly.
It also has a touchpad/curzor, but tapping screen also works while connected so both can be used at the same time!
Like most others I was comparing this with the Apple Magic Keyboard. I tried both. With the Magic Keyboard I kept hitting my fingers on the bottom of the iPad which was annoying. I may have got used to it with some time, however that and the cost really put me off. The Logitech is probably the next obvious choice. The typing experience is great for longer typing sessions. The fact the keyboard can be removed is fantastic as it means I can keep the iPad in the case and just remove the keyboard if I dont want to use it. This is handy when space is at a premium such as when out and about, or I just want to watch a movie etc.
I have noticed some battery drain with the keyboard attached but closed. Removing the keyboard over night will prevent this. It’s not much though – I would say around 7% a night.
I dont have the onscreen keyboard covering half the screen now which makes me so much more productive. Using it with the Apple Pencil – there is some bounce when using the kick stand, and it is enough to distract me when hand writing. What I do now is just lay the iPad flat on the table and write that way. If the kick stand was completely sturdy with no bounce then it would have been perfect but I can live with it.
I bought this keyboard to replace an original Logitech keyboard that came with the iPad some years ago. I never knew I needed backlighted keys so much! Yes, the keyboard and case adds some weight, but it also adds protection as well, so a good compromise in my view. The sales blurb says the keyboard battery will last 3 months, not so sure about that, but will see. Well worth the money.
Keyboard works well with some good features. Can also be folded in several ways depending on how you want to use the tablet. TBH, didn’t even realise it had to be charged for months then took less than 30 minutes for a similar charge (have only charged it 3 times since getting it).
What I regrettably only noticed after purchasing, is that there is not cut-out for the fingerprint button, because this model is actually for iPad Pro 11. So, it will work for iPad Air 4, however, you cannot use the touch feature to unlock your iPad and other stuff. Which is a shame, since they make it for iPad Air 4 (with the cutout), but since this was saying it work in the title, I bought it, and well, now I either will have to send it back or cut a whole myself, which isn’t ideal. So, if you are buying for iPad Air, be aware!
The keyboard is great for the typing experience and protection of the ipad, but Amazon should have wrapped my item in a cardboard box instead of a paper bag, which resulted in severe damage to the entire package of the item and some damage to the top right corner of the keyboard.
Well made product with gaps for the speakers and pencil etc. But no gap for the TouchID. It did not even occur to me to check. Makes unlocking and payments really clunky.
This was a great fit, for my ipad, loved the look and it was working fine. Until it just stopped out of no where, and after a few days it started working again. Couldn’t be bothered to send it back as i bought a proper apple ipad cove
The keyboard has a great feel to it . It does not feel cheap and is worth your money , however I would not buy it at full price . Hence the reason I waited for it to go onto sale.
It is good; but the drawback is that the pad body cover and keyboard portion does not get detached.. There should’ve been a mechanism where the Ipad part of the set should be able to detach and use just an ipad. Logitech please improvise because at the moment I’m using 2 separate covers for this reason. Logitech key board only for the days I will have to type, and if I want to use it like an IPad then I use my normal cover..
I love this case. It makes the iPad feel like a laptop. The keyboard and trackpad are very nice to use and are very responsive. The fact that it all connects via the iPad magnetic connectors means you don’t have to worry about the battery life of the keyboard.
You can detach it from the keyboard and use it as regular tablet and still have a protective layer around.
Three things to note though:
– this will make the iPad very heavy to use and travel with. It is also thick when compared to other cases
– the power button is quite hard to use with the case on
– not very comfortable to use on your lap. The fact that it needs the stand to lean on means you cannot just pick it up easily to move around, you need to use two hands.
I had a chunky keyboard before I saw a college friend using this one. When I searched for it I found that I could pay instalments which was a whole lot better for me. I’ve not had a problem with the keyboard in fact I love and I would recommend it to anyone whether your a student, business person or someone who wants it cause they can. The only reason I haven’t gave it five stars at touchscreen is the item is a case not an iPad
The Combo-Touch is better, in my opinion, than the Folio-Touch, as the keyboard is able to be detached and then clipped back onto the iPad with the keyboard safely protected. On the Folio-Touch, the keyboard is exposed when folded all the way back.
What the Combo-Touch is missing is the flap to secure an Apple Pencil to the side. With the current design, it’s all too easy to knock the Pencil off when storing it in a bag/case between uses.
I was unsure on buying this as hear such good things about the magic keyboard which a friend had bought. Watched a thousand case reviews as you do and decided to get one of these from amazon warehouse with a small discount from RRP. 100% feel like I made the right choice.
The detachable keyboard is ab obvious necessity once you get used to it, yes the magic keyboard lets you detach easily but then the iPad is totally unprotected. The keyboard is great to type on and trackpad also works well. Also worth noting this allows for the apple pencil to be put on the side still, obvious it would but hadn’t thought about it until I picked one up. iPad feels very well protected in the case, charger opening is big enough and no impact on speaker volume etc.
I am also a big fan of the semi soft touch material. I thought it would be more like a cotton material that might pick up dirt over time but feels much more hard wearing and I wouldn’t hesitate just wiping it down if it got dirty.
Only complaint is the keyboard does have a little heft to it but once the keyboard is detached to use it as a tablet this becomes a non issue and I would not suggest typing on your lap anyway. On a desk the keyboard is a perfect addition.
great product so far.
This case is absolutely incredible. You put it on your iPad and your iPad is FULLY protected from any scratches/bumps. HOWEVER. The keyboard is SO hard to lift. Like UNBELIEVABLY hard. It’s crazy. The case as a whole is amazing, but when you have it face down on your desk and go to lift it like you would a laptop……..good luck lol. It wont happen. You have to put a finger on each side of it, AND then pinch it and lift it slowly. THIS ISNT A DEALBREAKER. THIS IS STILL AN AMAZING CASE. But be warned, If you want something weak finger friendly this isn’t it.
Wanted this for about 12 month but i already owned the official apple smart keyboard .
Benefits
– Backlit keyboard
– Quality case
– Trackpad !! (can use all gestures like mac and no setup required )
– Same smart connector like official apple smart keyboard case , No bluetooth
Since selling my Mac felt a bit lost , but this fills the void . Really had turned my Ipad Pro into a little Macbook again
Quality built , slim. Little weighty but in a good way !(doesn’t feel cheap)
Keyboard is like a Laptop kind so i can type very fast on it .
I paid 80 “Like New – Grade” Made up with i
Overall, I am very impressed with this keyboard case. At just over half the price of the Apple alternative it is excellent value. I enjoy being able to detach the keyboard when I am not using it, it can also be flipped around and held behind the iPad and its case (I use this feature when taking notes with the Apple Pencil). As for the typing experience, the key travel is quite shallow, but this is clearly to be expected due to its low profile. I enjoy typing emails, messages, and short documents using this keyboard case, however I always use my PC for longer typing sessions. I would suggest a standalone keyboard for extensive typing sessions. I am very impressed by the trackpad, it has a smooth low fiction surface, it is very precise, and can be clicked wherever on the surface you press (unlike some other trackpads where the bottom portion is the only clickable surface). Build quality is nice and the the feel of the material is premium.
As for downsides, the entire package adds a considerable heft to the iPad Pro. I consider this to be an insignificant downside though, the package is still much lighter and more portable than a MacBook. Another potential downside is that the kick-stand on the back of the case makes it a bit more difficult to have on your lap when compared to the Apple Magic Keyboard, this is because the Magic Keyboard suspends the iPad above the keyboard so the overall depth of the package is shorter. I tend to use this on a desk so this point is moot.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has an iPad with the Smart Connector.
I bought this for the iPad Air 4th generation having seen that the dimensions of the two pads are very similar. I had previously had the Logitech Folio for an earlier generation of the iPad and liked it very much and this one is not a disappointment. The iPad Air fits – the height is identical to the iPad Pro and the width just a fraction wider – so it is a tight fit, but it works. The only drawback is that the touch button for fingerprint recognition is covered and unusable, but the keyboard has a screen on/off key and that works fine; all you have to do is use your personal code instead of fingerprint. Otherwise, the keyboard has the same qualities that endeared me to the earlier version – very direct in operation, large enough to touch-type happily, and with special function keys for a variety of purposes including sound controls for videos. And I don’t miss a trackpad – I tried a couple of cases with detachable keyboards and trackpads and found that the trackpad could interfere with typing if touched accidentally; and you have the inconvenience of having to remove the keyboard everytime you want to close the case – not user friendly. This case overcomes that problem. I can recommend this for the iPad Air 4th gen. as well as for the Pro.
I’ve had this key pad a few days and so far there’s nothing I dont like about it.
I bought this for my iPad 11 inch Pro 1st generation.
The soft exterior feels very nice and gives good protection when closed. The top magnetic flap ensures it doesn’t come open. The bumper pads at the top give good protection if accidentally dropped. The top left bumper that covers the volume buttons makes it so you have to press hard to operate the buttons, but with a previous ipad one of the volume buttons got damaged when dropped, so I’d rather have them protected than have to repair the buttons.
The iPad fits snugly into the case and won’t come out. When you pick up the iPad by the screen it doesn’t tend to unclip from the base as the magnet is quite strong which is a problem with some models I’ve had before.
The keyboard is very nice to use and the keys light up only when you use them to save the battery. I haven’t had it long enough to know how long the battery lasts.
Overall I can’t fault this keyboard at all. It looks and feels lovely and is well made.
