I had started the returns process for this piece of equipment. When I plugged it in to the PC and switched on the wireless keyboard and mouse nothing happened. Doing a little more research I found out in my case I needed to download the software/driver from the Logitech website.

Once I downloaed the software and went through the pairing process, everything worked.

Bought this dongle to replace the original one I lost. Works flawlessly with the original keyboard

I bought this for use with an MX Master 3 mouse on a Windows 10 computer, however, despite setting itself up when I plugged it in the first time there appeared to be a driver issue.
This can be seen in Settings>Devices with a message such as “Driver is Unavailable” or “Driver Error” as seen in the image (side note, my mouse was connected to my devices Bluetooth when the picture was taken, not to the receiver).

To resolve the driver issue follow the below steps and install all 3 softwares from Logitech’s official website.

    1. Install Logitech Options software (allows you to customise your devices settings)

    2. Install Logitech Unifying software (does the actual pairing)

    3. Install Logitech SetPoint software (is for some reason required to make everything work, might just come with the necessary driver for the receiver)

    4. Open Logitech Options

    5. Click add device

    6. You should have 3 choices select add a Unifying device

    7. It should open the Unifying receiver app in a new window, follow the on-screen instructions to pair your device.

    8. You’re done, your mouse/keyboard is now paired with the receiver, you can also plug that receiver into other computers without the need to install those softwares or re-pair your mouse/keyboard to the receiver.

    Hope this helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works, but you will need to follow these steps to fix the driver issue

I purchased this USB Unifying Receiver as I had lost my previous one that came with my Logitech wireless Keyboard and Mouse (K450)

The steps for making this work were super simple:
    1. Insert the Logitech Unifying Receiver USB in to my PC.
    2. Search Google for Logitech Unifying Receiver Software
    3. Choose which Operating System I was using.
    4. Download and install software.
    5. Follow the steps on the unifying receiver software to pair my devices.

All in all, this took less than 5 minutes, and the USB worked perfectly. Plugging it into my laptop, it’s tiny and does not stick out.

I did subtract one star as I feel it could do with being a little cheaper. I highly doubt these USB’s are expensive to manufacture and the price is elevated because you’ll have useless devices without it.

I lost my Logitech USB , hence purchased a new one.
INITALLY I was unsure it would work.
WHEN I got it my computer recognized it straight away, without me having to do anything, apart from plug it into the PC.
amazing keyboard is back and functioning again.

You need to pair this to your appliance, otherwise it shows up but no response.
My first came with my K400 keyboard and worked out of the box.
This didn’t (I use Linux), so I needed the application from Logitech on a Windows system to connect the dongle to the keyboard.
I use these on a headless Linux box and a Fire TV stick and they make life easier.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersu need to install the driver amd add the logitech device in order to manage it, it is not a plug and play device

Works with both my Mx Anywhere 3 and Mx master gen 1. It is noticeably thinner than my original unifying receiver that I use with my Mx master so because I use my Anywhere 3 on the go I have paired it with the thinner receiver and left my master on the chunkier one as it stays at home. Gets the job done and is genuine not much else to say.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNowhere in the package did it say what you must do to link or pair this new usb dongle your existing device.

The one that came with your device originally was factory paired, this one isnt.

You must goto the logitech support website on your computer and download the ‘unifying’ setup software.
Its a small program that will use the usb dongle to scan for unifying devices and pair them with this usb dongle.

Once paired it will behave just like the one you lost 😉

    Good luck

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have two wireless keyboard and mouse setups and one of them started to play up, tried changing the battery and hoped it was the little dongle that was the issue, the fact that the mouse and keyboard were having problems connecting lead me to believe this was the single point of failure. It arrived, downloaded the software and installed both keyboard and mouse without a hitch – clear instructions had it up and running in a couple of mins. Which meant I had both items working again for 10.99 – bargain!

I’ve got both the Logitech Craft keyboard and MX Master 2S mouse. The mouse would take forever to wake up and connect to Windows 10 and it was doing my head in.

This connects to both straight away with no lag or wait times.

Loses a star as it should have really come with the Craft or MX Master.

I ordered this item in order to replace the original usb dongle as my children had lost the original. If you are considering this as a replacement make sure that your original dongle has the orange star on it. IF it did, then this is what you need. I needed the replacement dongle for my k400+ keyboard. Straight out of the box it does not connect. All that I needed to do was connect the usb dongle to my pc, Download and run the software, switch on the keyboard, then it was instantly paired which allowed me to insert the dongle into my lg smart tv and use my keyboard and trackpad on my tv.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this unifying receiver for a Logitech keyboard and mouse for my daughter’s laptop. I ordered it and got it delivered on the SAME DAY so well done Amazon for speedy delivery. I’ve knocked a star off it because it came with no instructions I had to look up a YouTube video

*Download the software from the Logitech website (windows/iOS)
*Turn on what you want paired (make sure it isn’t connected to any other device or it will not pair)
*Follow the screen instructions and it pairs up super quick

The receiver can pair up to six devices which is pretty good.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI specifically chose this Logitech Unifying Receiver because it was smaller than my current ones. I travel with my laptop and recently, I broke my original receiver due to my lack of care with my rucsack. For this reason I paid a little extra because I believed that this one was more flush with the laptop. Don’t misunderstand….. it does exactly what it’s supposed to do – but as you can see in the photos, it still sticks. Or sticks out further than I was expecting.
So – whilst it works just as well as the bigger ones, it’s not the ultimate in slimness.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mild disappointment 🙁
