I absolutely would without a doubt recommend this product, after 10 minutes my face felt so refreshed.
My daughter reacts to every face mask known to man except this one. It cleans the skin well and doesn’t cause irritation, great stuff
I love how this is so refreshing and smooth x would highly recommend it to anyone with acne or just wanting to have a face mask to enjoy on your casual Friday night hope this review helped xxx
Tried this product as brought a gift my friend commented how good my skin looked and asked what I was using
it was good but didn’t felt like it help a ton, recommend cera ve such gd stuff x
I love this mask it feels really luxurious and leaves my skin feeling good. Would buy again.
This clay mask is not as good as other brands clay masks I tried before. I did not notice much glow or moisturising effect after using.
Did exactly what it was meant to do. Left skin feeling fresh and clean.
Very good face mask and wash! I have oily skin and found this to be great and also I have sensitive skin and had no issues with this 🙂 plus I got it on sale but would be happy to pay full price
I have never used these face packs and was not sure which ones to purchase, I have tried them and all 3 didn’t cause any inflammation or redness, my skin felt tight and soft after first use, I use it every other day and I alternated them. I am very happy with the glow pack and will be purchasing the bigger one next. Good value for money, thanx to prime was delivered next day.
Really good sceub and mask. I use it couple times a week, either as a scrub, then left on as a mask, or the other way around. It is really good and not too harsh on my sensitive skin. Lovely scent. Keep repurchasing ot once it runa out. Would recommend!
Bought these as a stocking filler for my eldest (16) I was expecting them to be a little bigger but she loves them and they are kind to her sensitive skin so I’m really pleased with them.
I purchased this clay mask and it is very good value for money and is quite cheap. The exfoliation pearls in the clay mask gently but deeply cleanses your pores and exterminates any dirt. After applying the mask, my skin felt very clean and refreshed, however it is a glow mask. And my skin was not glowing at all, I have been using this product for many weeks now but I haven’t noticed any glow. But it does last a long time and I would recommend.
Like many women, I have never quite settled on one brand for all my skincare and every now and then I try new ones in a (usually vain) attempt to emerge more Venus-like.
At the start of lockdown I decided to try a different face mask, and settled on trying a clay based one. After checking reviews on various websites I decided to try L’Oral.
I didn’t really expect to love it, given it’s a supermarket staple brand nowadays albeit a respected mid-range one. But I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.
The mask is easy to put on and doesn’t immediately harden, so it’s easy to wash your hands etc after application. You don’t get that awful tightening feeling that some masks give as it dries, but you do feel it harden ever so slightly. It’s only when you touch your face after five to ten minutes that you realise it actually has dried in very nicely.
If you forget to take it off after the allocated time or even if you leave it on for ages (as I do at times, albeit not strictly recommended by the manufacturer), mercifully there doesn’t seem to be any reddening or drying of the skin caused by your tardiness. It actually seems to come off just the same as if you’d done it at the exact right time, which is great in terms of flexibility and much better than the ones you practically need a stopwatch for. The only difference is that the longer it’s on, the more you’ll see little flakes of the mask start to crumble if you touch it. But that’s to be expected.
I did once or twice have occasion to cry while wearing the mask (let’s just blame sad movies) and the water didn’t mess up the mask – albeit the trails of tears made their mark and turned my already green face into something resembling a comic book bad guy. If anything, it’s a good way to laugh yourself out of any silly tears.
On the flip side, the mask doesn’t crack too much if you smile or laugh. You can still talk while wearing it, depending on how much room you leave around your lips and assuming you are fairly gentle in your speech. A massively wide smile might cause some cracks but even then, not enough to bring the mask crumbling down off your face.
Removal is easy, just water on a cloth for me, I like the duality of the minor exfoliating effect that has while the mask is coming off, though I imagine you could just use your fingers with water for a gentler removal.
And yes, my face definitely feels the effect afterwards. It’s much smoother for maybe a day at a time. So much so that I feel the need to use this every week now, as I’m used to having a baby soft face, albeit we are sadly I’m 2020 therefore not allowed to be physically close enough to anyone for me to reap the benefits yet.
This is my favourite of all the L’Oral masks (and I’ve now tried them all). Really lovely. Enjoy!
For context, I wouldn’t consider myself to have severe acne – it’s mild most days with the occasional moderate breakout on my cheeks/jawline, but this has been persistent for the past 11 years. I’ve been on hormonal contraception for a LONG time to try and manage it but to no avail so, while I wait for a GP appointment to investigate, I bought this as something to help manage my breakouts when they do happen.
I came down with the flu last week and broke out the worst I have in a very long time as I was unable to get out of bed to keep on top of my skincare, and was definitely dehydrated for most of the week. I had very angry red spots all across my jaw and cheeks, some large painful ones under the skin too. I tried cleansing twice a day and, desperate to try and get rid of the spots, used a scrub and a tea tree mask – all in one day (rookie mistake!! don’t do this!!). Not only did that not work but it made my skin extremely dry, verging on scaly, and made me break out more as my skin was now dehydrated.
I applied this mask and, after washing it off, my skin was much more moisturised, the redness had gone WAY down, and some spots had already dried up. Really looking forward to using this in my usual skincare routine to see how my skin improves!
I so wish L’oreal had a gentle daily cleanser version of this product, I love it!
Giving this 3 pot pack of clay masks a 4 out of 5. I had bought the regular size eucalyptus (green) mask and have been using it a few weeks (with very good results) and wanted to try the other masks and see if they’d do my skin any good. I got this sample pack on sale for 5 which I feel is a fair price for a sample pack. Each pot has enough product to do 2 masks or 3 if you really stretch it. My review loses a star because I dont feel 2 applications is really going to let you judge your results very well. See, my skin responded to the eucalyptus mask from the first application, second use there was nothing to write home about and it was only really from the 4th use that I’ve started to see ongoing results. Also, each little pot has a peel off foil lid so it may convince the user it is a one application pot (thus wasting you money) and it doesn’t re-seal so the clay will dry out if you don’t keep it air tight. My advice is once you open a pot, don’t completely peel the foil lid off and use it to close the pot again but also, wrap it up tightly in cling film or tin foil and use within a week to save waste. Will you get results from these masks? In my experience I can say yes, provided you use the one that best suits your skin/ skin troubles however, I don’t think you’ll get the best results by only relying on these sample pots. I feel you have to get the one that’s right for you and stick with it.
I decided to try this out instead of Glamglow as it is significantly less expensive and I thought, if this can do the same thing then I can save a few pennies.
Packaging: Surprisingly great quality glass jar with secure lid and safety lid as well to preserve freshness.
Smell: Fresh, earthy scent that isn’t overbearing.
Consistency: Fairly thick, creamy and smooth texture.
Applying the product is easy, just like any other face mask – because it is on the runnier side, its pretty easy to apply. It does dry fully but when you wash it off, it reverts back to a liquid so i’m afraid it requires a bit more to get off (as I don’t like being too rough with my skin) and unfortunately, make a bit of a mess around the sink but that’s easily cleaned up.
As for the results, I have only used it two or three times so far so I cannot say regarding long-term results but in the short term I have found that it hasn’t made a dramatic difference to my skin yet. I do notice that directly afterwards, my skin looks a little clearer and feels beautifully clean. However, generally speaking I don’t see huge differences YET, that you would perhaps see from Glamglow. That being said, it feels lovely on, it makes my skin feel really clean, and for the price, I would say its a lovely face mask to have on standby for when you need a bit of pampering.
Bought this present for an ungrateful ex friend who seemed to love the product. Her ugly face improved for the short time she used it so I’d recommend it!
I’ve tried many charcoal & clay masks and this is definitely one of the best for drawing out the impurities and leaving my face feeling soft and clean after each application. I used it pretty regularly for about 2 months and have noticed a marked improvement, with fewer breakouts and a better skin texture.
Application: I use it every 3-4 days, applying a generous coat on my problem areas and leaving it to dry completely for about 15 minutes before washing it off. It’s quite smooth to apply but washing off takes a little time.
Efficacy: The mask does draw oils and impurities to the surface of your skin, so after the first two applications I noticed that I had more active breakouts than before I started using it, however, once these were gone my skin definitely started to clear up and my pores looked smaller. Just be aware that it gets worst before it gets better, but I’m sure that isn’t surprise if you’re like me and spots are a constant battle.
Coverage/ No. of Uses: about 10-12 full-face applications for every 50ml pot. I do apply generously, though.
Aftercare: It’s a very drying mask so you feel quite desperate to moisturise your face and hands after using it. Maybe that isn’t unusual as far as clay masks go but I’ve used other clay masks that don’t leave my face feeling quite so stripped. (This is the main reason I’m giving 4 rather than 5 stars)
The smell of the mask also lingers, which I didn’t find that bad because I liked the smell (it’s a little… manly?) but it may be bothersome if you don’t like it.
First off, I love the ability to buy minis so you can try first, especially as so many products are overrated. I quite often end up buying full size products to throw in the bin.
You’re supposed to put certain colours in certain places on your face. I however, decided to put each one in turn all over my face!
I went with the black one first which smells a bit like really nice men’s cologne albeit very subtle. The blackheads and gunk it pulled from my skin quite disgusting. You’ll know it’s doing the same for you if as it dries you see white spots on it; blackheads are actually white beneath the skins surface. Tightens a little bit on the skin and took about 15 mins to dry completely. I used a warm wet face cloth to wipe it off. Did leave a little residue but that probably would have come off with a bit of a rinse. Since I was going with the green one straight after I didn’t bother.
The green one smells more medicinal thanks to the eucalyptus and tightens a lot more on your face. Took about the same time to dry as the black one and I removed in the same manner. If this black one pulled out gunk this one made my skin nice and soft, with no residue left behind.
Lastly, the red one. This one doesn’t tighten on your skin but takes about the same amount of time to try. Smells ok but the black one wins the smell test. Mixed this one with a little water and massaged my face before wiping off with a warm wet face cloth again. This one left my face really soft and shiny.
I have the cleanest, shiniest skin and all the little bumps I had on my forehead are gone. Probably thanks to the gunk the black mask pulled out … gross!
I liked them so much I’ve just ordered a full size black mask and red mask. Even at full price they’re good value. I can get two uses out of each mini pack by the way.
