Much better than wiring in a lamp for the shed. Works perfectly from daylight.
Absolutely fantastic bright light motion sensor just the job recommended perfec
The light seems to be a reasonable quality product which works well to light a side entrance to the garden, having a longer cable that is usual for this type of product helps as I was able to mount the solar panel in an open area that faces south.
The supplied fixing screws were not great quality so I used a set I already had to hand.
Needed lights for practical use and for security reasons great purchase
Small but yet useful for anywhere.
The 5m cable allowing the solar panel to out in the Sun while the light in the shade.
Also a decent battery of 1500mAh.
Quite responsive sensor with a button to change the 30, 60, 90s light up upon triggered.
Good path or fence, entrance, porch, garage etc.
Good value at 11 with voucher.
These sensor lights are great. They have 3 sensor modes so you can adjust it easily. So easy to install no wiring needed. They are waterproof and work in all the seasons!! Design is modern and sleek. Does the job!!
o light up steps in the garden, dark area at night.
does the job really well.
This product is described as a “Solar Motion Sensor Light”, with “PIR Sensor + CDS Day/Night Sensor”, on the overprinted brown cardboard box in which it was packed. Inside the box, the “Solar Sensor Wall Light” was protected in a bubble film bag, and the Solar Panel, with its face protected by clingfilm, was packed behind it. Also enclosed was a very basic User Guide, printed in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and 4 other languages. In addition 3 small sealed plastic bags, each containing 2 wall plugs & 2 screws, and a double-sided 3mm thick foam pad, measuring 50mm x 100mm, were also inside the box.
What I like most about this product is that it is very versatile regarding positioning., because the Solar Panel is not built into the Solar Sensor Wall light, and can be positioned up to almost 5 metres distance from it. So the Solar Panel can be installed in a position where it is exposed to the maximum amount of sunlight, whilst the Solar Sensor Wall Light is placed wherever it is required for security purposes, within that distance range.
Installation is extremely simple, and the user has the option of 3 different Solar Light duration modes (30 seconds, 60 seconds, or 90 seconds) when motion is detected. Its brightness level is not adjustable.
At the time of writing this review, this product was on offer at 12.99 (List price 14.99), and an “Apply 10% Voucher” reduced it further to 11.69, which, IMO, is excellent value.
This is the perfect solar light to mount near trees or dark places.
It’s good because you can put the light exactly where you need it and then the cable is long enough to mount the solar panel somewhere sunny.
The light is motion activated so won’t use the battery up quickly.
It’s very bright when it’s activated and I’m impressed at how bright it is.
I have it mounted near my bins which are also overshadowed by large trees and the solar panel is on the house roof.
perfect for gardens, sheds and spaces where is a bit hard to have electrical power or the locations that are outside the sun range
the material isn’t the strongest but still acceptable and resistant, after a proper installation definitely is going to last for a long time. Also very easy to install it
when thinking to buy it just consider that the cable is 5m long, so you should reach the the sun ray with this length otherwise it may be a waste
the sensor works very well and the lights turn on even from about 5m, at least for the one I’ve got. The light is bright enough for a shed or garden (not enough for reading :p). The light doesn’t light up when no movements and stays on for about 20-25 seconds
ordered for my next project, a bike shed where the ray sun doesn’t reach that low because of the near tall walls, so for me this is just perfect
Price wise, I do recommend it.
Slightly let down by the size of the light- small and yet not very bright.
It does have nice size solar panel, hence underuse.
The PIR sensor is pretty sensitive and does have good range.
A quite long cable to run from out to in or front to back – in order to find the good spot for the Sun.
Price wise, pretty good at under 12 with voucher.
I’ll start with the light issue, while it’s strong and lights up a fair amount. It’s very blue and doesn’t really play too well with my eyes and I have blue light filters on them. So not so nice to experience for me personally.
The sensor went off as soon as I moved the door handle moved (the sensor can see the door handle where it’s placed) so I’d say it’s a good sensor for that regard.
The cable is way too long for my personally but I have it in a spot that stay out of the way. I’m sure a long cable will be very advantageous to some people though.
The 90 second setting feels a bit long since it seemed to pick me up at the back door inside, with the placement I have it, seems like there’s very little chance of it going off while I’m in view of the sensor so another point to the sensor. Doesn’t go off with the leaves blowing on the tall bush I have about 5ft away from it which is another plus.
Yet to see on the durability over a longer period of time or heavy rain though so we’ll see. Hopefully the battery doesn’t explode as it is on a fence.. So we’ll see. But for now, it’s a good 4 stars purely because of the sensor and ease of installation and use.
Would have been a 3 because of the light colour but the sensor saved it a bit.
Not a bad price but not a great one at 14.99, currently on sale for 11.99. Which is a more reasonable price given the size. It is pretty small.
This is bright enough for a porch or a garage and doesn’t need much sun to charge it, the movement sensor is good ..probably too good as it picks up anything within 2-8 meters.
The best bit I would say is the long cable and the fact that the solar panel is detachable which means the light can be inside and the panel outside.
UPDATE 20/5/23 – Supplier reached out to me to ensure that I was satisfied. This shows that they care about their customers which is a rare commodity these days.
I purchased this for use in the shed which I use occasionally in the afternoon and evenings. The solar panel is placed outside facing the sun to allow the battery to charge during the day. Unfortunately, the light sensor which enables the light is also on the solar panel which means it needs to get quite dark before the motion sensing/light is triggered. This means that the light is not triggered in the afternoon when I am most likely to use the shed as there is still some daylight outside.
The light itself is constructed with reasonable quality taking the price in to account but clearly it is unsuitable for some applications.
I needed a new security light over my front door after removing the previous all-in-one camera & light. In an effort to reduce my energy use, I also wanted it to be solar powered with a decent internal battery that would last the night. Luckily the Lotmos light here fulfilled that requirement perfectly.
For a solar powered based light, I needed it to have the solar panel separate to the light unit, so it benefits from the full daytime sun (especially in the shorter duller winter months). With this light the solar panel unit can be fitted around 5 metres away if needed. This does mean coiling up excess cable when fitted closer though. The panel is larger than integral ones (around 4 times the size) allowing the internal batteries to charge quicker.
I particularly liked the simplicity of the light unit as it only has one control unit – to set the time on time at either 30 seconds, 60 seconds or 90 seconds. There are enough LEDs in to provide a wide and bright light and the motion sensor is factory set to detect movement of a person but not of something like a fly going past (I have had motion sensors this sensitive before and they are annoying).
Being critical, the mount where the cable from the panel joins the light looks a bit tacky as it appears they used an all-in-one mount and made it work with a separate panel rather than a mount made just for this setup.

This is absolutely perfect for providing a solar powered light in the area where we keep our wheelie bins . It doesn’t get much ( if any ) direct sunlight to charge a panel that is attached to the LED light , so they extra long cable length from solar charging panel
To LED light unit means we can get optimum charge from our south west facing garden .
The light given off by the LEDs is fantastic and strong . The auto sensor very sensitive. One of the redeeming features with the solar charge is the power source is free ! Great for the current economic climate and environmentally
So I am a little bit of a fan of motion detector lights where you can place the panel elsewhere, it gives options, and since each abode is different, options are good to have.
The main light section works very much like so many others, you press the button to set the lighting type setup you want and leave it, to do its thing.
The solar panel, connects via a screw in section, the plug for the solar panel will fit some other solar panel fittings, but is not the normal light fitting for solar panels.
Overall, light works fine, motion is OK and since I set mine to only light up with motion it seems to be lasting through the night.
Hi, this is a good light, with a good sized solar panel, it’s perfect for our needs as we have a porch over a outdoor room and you couldn’t get a solar light to work under that unless it’s like this, with a huge wire extension, it gives off a good amount of light, it’s a good idea and great value
LOTMOS Solar Security Lights Outdoor Motion Sensor, 100 LED Solar Lights Outdoor IP65 Waterproof solar fence lights, Solar Powered Security Light for Garden Shed Door Entrance Yard Garage-16.5ft Cable
This comes well presented in its own branded box.
This is a solar powered security light, it has 100 leds, motion sensor and 3 detection Modes modes.
Theres 16.5ft of cable so plenty of room to put the actual solar panel.
Its obviously waterproof as you would expect as its used for outside.
My husband has installed this in our back garden so we can see to make sure the dogs are doing their last pee/poo before bed, as soon as the dogs run out the light automatically comes on, it works so well and both hubby and myself are impressed, no issues at all, its exactly as the description describes.
I can reccomend and its at a good price at the moment , cant go wrong at that price!…. Great value for money.
I rate these lights pretty highly because they are so versatile . Because there is a long cord length between the solar panel and the light you can mount the solar panel in the optimum position for getting sunlight and still have the light is an awkward space that gets no sun if needed . The PIR sensor picks up movement and switches the light on when you walk past . Very happy with it so far.
This is a similar design to many a solar light, the difference being it has the solar panel on a long lead.
It’s great for places that are generally under cover most of the day, where a standard solar light wouldn’t get charged. I have mine on a north facing covered area behind a gate, which doesn’t charge normal solar lights much at all.
The light is still pretty bright, despite it being a single LED panel. Certainly good enough to navigate your way when it’s dark, even at 7ft up. it has a good detection range and will trigger when walking close by in the area that would be illuminated. The “on dim all night” mode is good too. It would have been much better with a “on when it detects movement regardless of day/night” as that could allow it to illuminate the inside of a shed, even when it’s daytime.
This light is really bright and the motion sensor works well. It only turns on when the solar panel doesn’t detect light and the light can stay on for 30, 60 or 90 seconds depending on how you want to set it. The battery lasts well and charges via the large solar panel so it should run through all seasons.
They’re are lots of solar lights available and I have tested quite a few… I really like this one as it gives you the chance to place the light on one page and the solar panel up to 15 feet away in order to get the best place where it can catch the sunshine…
Tips homes you the option to place the light on a dull or dim area knowing that the panel will still be charging the light as its on the sunshine….
Should survive urge British winter as it looks solidly made and durable… Just secure the solar panel and light securely especially the Panel baring in mind strong winds could dislodge it…
I can’t comment on the long term durability of the light….
But seems good value for money….
This is superb a security light without the need to get expensive wiring installed, it’s easy to install and it works as good as a mains powered one and the facility to position the solar panel in the best place possible
These come with everything needed to install.
These are easy to install using the provided screws.
The light has several levels of light but obviously you’ll want the brightest as it’s a security light.
Will light up our garden at the back which is very dark in the evening that we can’t see the doggy.
Good value and good lighting
This solar-powered security light has fewer features than some others I have tried, though with one important twist. It is basically a “stripped-down-to-basics” version that comes on when motion is detected. There is no choice of different brightnesses, but there are options for whether your light stays on for 30, 60, or 90 seconds once activated. That is the sum total of your choices which is fine by me and suitable for most purposes. The nice bonus is that the solar panel is separate from the actual light so you can easily place it where it will get the most sun, even if the actual light is in a more sheltered area. The cable to connect the panel and light is 16.5 feet so you have a bit of leeway. I have only seen this feature on a couple of solar security lights so was pleasantly surprised to see it on this relatively basic model. All hardware is included and this is currently priced at 14.99 with a 30% off voucher available, making it very good value if you just want a light that stays off unless activated. This is perfect for my needs and I am very happy to recommend.
Was shocked how bright these actually are for the price, can easily light up a small garden like mine. Very good value considering you can get two bright motion detecting lights for just over 20 quid
Easy to install with 3 modes of light to choose from, bright enough for an outdoor space to see keys and close proximity, and best of all they’re solar powered. Only just installed today so can’t comment on battery life/outdoor durability.
Bought these to light some steps leading down to my front door. We used to leave the light on in the porch but thought, with electricity prices rising, these may be a cheaper alternative. And they work great and are powered by the sun. Recommended.
Installed on the back of the house between the back door and the garage. We have a freezer in the garage so now that the dark nights are here we can go along the path without coming a cropper! Recommend them one hundred percent.
