Brought to mend a hole in side of spa. Stickiness was good although wasn’t easy to use soon as you apply glue to patch it starts to ruffle up so not so easy to use. But did do the job .
I used this on a small hole in an Intex “burger” pool raft. The pre-cut patches were bigger than I needed for a dry mend of a small puncture in a deflated toy, I think they are more suitable for making a wet mend of a pool? I cut my own patch that was about 20mm across instead.
The patch stuck well, though there’s a bit of a ridge around it where excess glue squeezed out that’s down to me not the glue.
60ml is actually quite a large tube IMO and will last a long time doing the kind of small mends I was doing. It won’t last so long for doing rough underwater mends as you need to be much more generous with the glue.
There is a generous amount of patch material for cutting to size, so this kit could be used to mend a ripped seam.
If you are mending printed vinyl you may want to remove the print where the patch will go for better adhesion, this can be done with false nail remover (acetone). Otherwise the ink disolves in the glue.
The adhesive and patches successfully repaired a cut in a small inflatable bouncy castle.
The only tricky step in the repair is the application of the adhesive to the patch. Having flattened out the patch as directed, I applied the adhesive to one side of the patch whereupon the patch curled in on itself making it tricky to unroll and apply to the item to be repaired. Also difficult to remove all air bubbles. Having said that, the repair has held on re-inflation so it seems to be OK despite my poor technique.
I blew my hot tub up now where coming into summer and it had a tiny puncture in and it kept going flat so I located the puncture and ordered this kit of Amazon and it comes today my hot tub is now back to full working order couldn’t be anymore more happier for the sake of 12 quid it’s just saved me the expense of a new hot tub.
Thank you very much I highly recommend this produc
Excellent value for money. We managed to patch up the small holes at the bottom of our pool even when it was full of water. The mice had a good nibble of the pool but this glue repaired it as good as new.
We have an emergency inflatable bed for when we have guests and it developed a small hole, leading to deflation in the night. This arrived next day and sealed the hole and it has now held for several weeks with many uses.
Do not leave adhesive on patch for too long as it starts to react very fast. Slap it on patch and get it put on asap. At first I didn’t hold out much hope but this is brilliant stuff when cured. Used on a better quality lazy spa in two places with one being a seam on the inflated side which is under a lot of pressure .Been repaired now for a couple of months and lasted brilliantly and still going strong. Well worth the money.
Brought my hot tub out after a long winter to discover 2 holes in it. Used this product and was amazed the hot tub stayed up all summer without loosing any air. Great product.
Found the hole in the hot tub, blew it up, attached some adhesive with a patch and allowed a few minutes to set. This was a few weeks ago and it’s worked a trea
Product held well, a bit messy to apply just because its sticky Glue Would definitely recommend wearing gloves. Coved hole over a month ago and still holding strong. Did use a different product before and it didn’t last the day. So very happy with this one.
This is a really good repair kit. We bought it to repair our hot tub as it had got some tiny holes in it while it was in storage. Its very easy to use. You get different sized patches as well as a strip patch that you can cut down to size or use as is. The instructions are very easy to follow. We would recommend this product.
We had small hole in our pool and purchased this. It has helped stop the flow, but not stopped it completely. This is a large pool with 45000L of water behind it, so this might work well with a smaller pool or hot tub as described. Not sure if it would work inside the water as it was hard enough fixing to the outside.
This repair kit was so easy to use glue runny but strong,I used it on a tear on the inside of my paris hot tub were the jets blow out I cut a large piece of patch glued it left it for 24hrs hot tub bubbles work.cant rate this kit highly enough now I’m using it on another tub on a puncture on the outside *****
It worked well to repair a large lazy spa hot tub. Tried 3 different products before and none worked . I was impressed with this one but you need to make sure there are no bubbles left underneath the patch . I would recommend i
Air blow section split inside so i had to slice through 4 blow holes to repair.. Then had to stanley blade the 3 bottom rings as the tub was FULL of water and i couldnt get it out of the small seam split behind the airblow ring. Was tricky and sticky as the glue tutns the vinyl patch soft and stretchy. found it easier to put the glue around the area put the patch on then push the patch firmly to spread the glue outwards. the edges of the patch curl in and the applicator got stuck so used my fingers. needless to say im still peeling glue off my acrylic nails BUT after 16 hours i bit the bullet and blew up the tub… IT WORKED! AIR IN, WATER OUT 🙂
Managed to put the pool (10 foot Bestway) up as the weather has changed but after filling, was disappointed to see 3 fountain like sprays appearing from the sides. Did some googling and opted for a couple of items including this. Emptied and dried the pool but left it assembled. Very easy to use instructions. Flattened the patches as instructed overnight. Next day I sanded and applied glue and patches, with my wife helping with pressure on the patches once applied. I wasnt sure it would work but we are now 5 weeks down the line and no sign of leakage or failure.
Can definitely recommend for novices at repair 🙂
My hot tub fixed with no leaks after 5 days writing this. It was easy to use. Just make sure you split/ pull the repair patches apart as they are stacked together. I made the mistake at first using 3 stuck together.
Waiting 24 hours was a little annoying, however more importantly it looked a better repair than some kits I’ve seen. Also this is not really noticeable
