I have 2 MagicShine front lights, the big one and this. I swap them over, the other becomes the back-up for long races.

This is my fave, super compact, great flashy options, super long battery life. USB-C means one less cable too 🙂

One thing I will add is how good MagicShine’s customer service is. I had a crash and along with my injuries and bike damage I smashed the mounting bracket on the light.
Considering I was out of any warranty and it was my fault (hit a large pothole!) the team sent me a replacement part and the tools to fit it – FREE OF CHARGE.

Great company, great products. Highly recomend!

More expensive than I was hoping to pay but you get what you pay for and this is a lightweight, portable bike light which throws out a great beam on unlit rural roads. Would recommend to anyone.

I use this as a second front light as bike came with one connected to the frame. I use this pointed to the ground to light the road to spot pot. Holes. It is very bright and comes large area ahead.

I’ve tried a lot of magicshine lights, and this is the best by far. A cracking light with very good output and light beam pattern.

Bet it’s big brother 2000 would be great for mountain biking at night, but this one is great for road biking and light off road duties at dusk.

Overall a fantastic light that is have no hesitation in telling others to buy.

Get the out front mount as well and the bars look nice and neat.

Ok it’s small, it’s not the brightest bike touch in the world but for its size it sure tries to be.

It’s idea for a flashing light mainly for others to notice you on the road hopefully before they run other you.

But if you get caught sort and the sun leaves you, it will indeed get you home with seeing where you going.

The attachment to the bike is a easy twist on twist of and is secure enough

I also have the bigger one and that’s just unreal light and battery.

But mainly I use this little guy!

Sturdy enough mount for even rough offroad terrain.
Very compact design and easy to clip/unclip.
Not yet used on trail at night, but I reckon will get you home if caught in dark. For city or bikepath riding it is perfect.
Low voltage lamp for visibility to other road users only, extends use between charge periods.

Bought it after checking and comparing reviews on road.cc website. This light is INCREDIBLE. Excellent wide flood combined with direct beam. I’d genuinely go as far to say it’s brighter than the headlights on one of my cars. Superb build quality and performance.

A great bright bike light but not getting battery life as advertised. Nice Garmin style 1/4 turn mount.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat beam with slight cutoff to help reduce dazzling to oncoming traffic, not quite perfect but does help. Simple cycle through thre levels of brightness, double click for flash modes. This can be down to personal preference but I prefer fewer settings to cycle through.

Standout feature is this can be charged with powerbank or Dynamo whilst being used so ideal for bikepacking.
May not be quite bright enough for fast off-road riding but there is limited choice when charging during use. Still as bright if not brighter than most Dynamo lights including the exposure Revo which I also have.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe light is great- bright and with good options e.g. daytime commuting light. I put it on the brightest option and it was still bright 10 hours later

There’s a very handy release – just twist the light 90 degrees and it comes off the mount, leaving you with a nice little torch. You can do this in a moment with one hand, refit is the same and it stays firm on the mount when you’re riding.

One other point, the quick release works well BUT you need 10cm clear space on your handlebars, because you twist it 90 degrees i.e. in line with the handlebars. This could be a problem if you have phone mount, bell etc in the way. The only Brompton handlebars I see it working with are the straight across S-type ones, unfortunately it didn’t work on my H-type ones.

This wouldn’t be a problem if you just leave it on the bike all the time, of course.
