I was struggling to keep my lego sets clean when someone suggested to me that I use makeup brushes to dust them with. These work really well, the bristles are soft so they got into all the nooks and crannies without dislodging any small pieces. Really good value for money for the number of brushes you get too. I may not be the intended customer for this product but i am a happy one! 🙂
Actually purchased these for art work for shading with pencil/graphite powder drawings.
Really makes a great difference and the different types of brushes help for various scenarios, depending on the drawing.
This is a nice little set of makeup brushes. There’s a good selection, including a blush brush, eyeshadow brush, angled brush and fan brush among others. You also get a nice little zip up bag to store them in.
I’ve only used a couple of these for makeup as I primarily bought these for applying powder and gold leaf to moulds for my crafting, dry brushing and dusting delicate model miniatures and for these jobs these are great.
As far as makeup goes, well they do a good enough job for what I need. I don’t wear loads of makeup, just basic foundation, blush and a bit of eyeshadow and these are fine for that.
Visually they look ok, and they’re comfortable to use. The brushes are lightweight and the bristles are super soft. I do find that I get some slight bristle loss at times when I’m using these though and they do have a slightly cheap feel to them.
Having said that they were good value for the amount of brushes you get so I wasn’t expecting really high quality and for what I use them for they’re fine. I think if I was in the habit of applying lots more makeup on a more regular basis and was aiming for a more professional look I would probably look for some better quality brushes for that. As a value set though, they do the job.
Despite the fact that I don’t use them for the intended purpose, these brushes are AMAZING. If you paint models and use want to dry brush, I recommend these instead of using “proper” dry brushes. Honestly these work as well or even better!!
My GF was very happy with the quality of the brushes, they are much much cheaper than any of the branded brushes. To my (untrained) eye, I don’t really see any difference, so seem like a terrific purchase!
To be honest, this was an okay pack. Some of the brushes were thick and strong, others, mainly the eye shadow were quite weak and frail. But you get what you pay for here.
These brushes are good but i dont know what they are all for as im a novice to make up brushes there seems to be several of them so far ive been using two of them and an eye shadow applicator , very good value for money .
As the headline says, I didn’t actually buy these for make-up, but instead to clean dust out of difficult to get at places, for example computer keyboards and ornamental figurines. For the latter, they are excellent as the really soft bristles pose little risk of damage to the ornament. However, I have found that they are a little too soft to do a really outstanding job on a keyboard, but are still perfectly adequate.
The mesh covers for the larger brushes are a nice touch as they keep the brush heads from touching each other in the bag (presumably with make-up, cross-contamination of product is a risk).
Not had to clean them yet, so can’t really comment on how easy or difficult it might be, hence a 3* rating.
I bought this for my 14 year old daughter who has just started being interested in make up.
There is a good selection of brushes, lots for her to play around with. It would have been good to have a bigger bronzing type brush, but she can make do with the biggest one this set has. They are a cheaper set, so I didn’t expect amazing quality – some of the hair comes out of the bigger ones when using.
She doesn’t use them all the time so they should hopefully last a while.
