The CL121DZ is equipped with overheat protection; the motor shuts down if the tool or batteries overheat. The shoulder belt can be plaed over the shoulder for added mobility and the Vacuum Cleaner accepts both disposable paper dust bags as well as cloth dust bags.

The CL121DZ has a 3 stage push button for variable suction power control for maximum, high and normal settings, plus a blower function. The hose extends up to 1 metre.
Range of nozzles available: Seat nozzle; narrow nozzle with link brushes and side brushes; ideal for removing fine dust such as lint or hair from a car seat, soft brush for convenient cleaning of air / air conditioning vents, sash nozzle for cleaning in corners and crevices of a car or furniture, mat nozzle; the nubs around the suction opening to help rake out grains and rubber nozzle; very gentle to the surface so ideal for cleaning out bottom corners of door pockets or console between the seats.

The only reason I have not given this product a 5* was its size. The debris bag is super small. I’m not going to return it as it’s very well made (typical Makita quality) but i may struggle to find a use for it. The pics show it being used to clean out a vehicle. In my van, I’d likely have to empty the bag 2 or 3 times as a spilled cup of Cheerios would fill it up. The hoses are exceptionally rubbery and flexible and good for tight corners as is the ‘ball-socket’ connection to the main body. Unlike other reviewers I found the suction to be more than adequate, particularly given it’s size. I’d think it would be great for getting dust around electronics, computers, etc. In short think dust vacuum rather than shop-vac.
I bought this thinking I’d be able to mackle it and use it expressly with one tool but that idea didn’t work so I thought I’d keep it in my workshop to help with general tidying but at 10.8v it’s a bit underpowered and it’s size means it’s next to useless for anything other than vacuuming shaving from a hand-plane.
So now we use it to clean the cars (well, we used it once but really can’t be bothered to keep cleaning the car) it has lots of little attachments that help get the crud out of teeny places. It’s actually good. I’m still within the return period but prefer to keep it. Buy with confidence, but don’t expect miracles.
Ottimo aspirapolvere per auto . La potenza di aspirazione buona considerando che lavora con batteria da 12 V ( non compresa) . E’ ben accessoriato ,comodo da utilizzare visto che funziona solo con la batteria. Ha la possibbilit di diventare un piccolo soffiatore (onestamente non molto potente) con il suo accessorio in dotazione. In conclusione contenta dell’acquisto anche perch con i prodotti Makita mi sono trovata sempre molto bene. Acquistarlo con prezzo scontato merita.
Haven’t been able to try it yet still waiting for a battery for it. It would be a lot better if you supplied a battery with it. It has coursed a lot of stress sussing out the right battery and ordering it.
Lasts longer than required for a full estate car so should be no problem for most vehicles.
This is the bare unit – The customer ratings are being pulled down by people who have somehow missed the bold “Batteries and Charger Not Included”, it’s right there in the description!
If you’ve already got a Makita 12v battery from their drills/drivers other tools then you’re set.
Wir nutzen 2x 12V 4,0Ah Akkus inkl. Ladegert.
Im Staubsauger befinden sich neben allerlei Dsen sowohl 5x Papierbeutel (Einwegbeutel 194566-1) als auch ein Mehrwegbeutel, dieser kann bei grober Verschmutzung auch ausgewaschen werden. Zudem gibt es einen Adapter, mit dem der Sauger auch als kleines Geblse genutzt werden kann. Das ist praktisch um Brtchenkrmel aus Griffmulden zu pusten.
Mit den 4,0Ah Akkus luft der Sauger ca. 1 Std mit kurzen Unterbrechungen. Bei berlastung / vollem Beutel oder zu groem Widerstand bzw. Zu hoher Motortemperatur, schaltet das Gert automatisch ab und signalisiert dies mit einer LED. Dann ist ca. 60 Sekunden warten angesagt. Fr Staub und leichte Verschmutzungen ist das Gert sehr gut geeignet, kleinere Steine wie Splitt oder Kies bleiben jedoch liegen. Groputz also mit einem richtigen Sauger. Fr uns und unsere Zwecke ist die Leistung vllig ausreichend.
