If you loved Spiderman on PS4, you’ll love this too. Same great experience, with a few addition that works well. Unfortunately it’s very short, but it is a must-play before Spiderman 2.
Important notice about the game sold here, it is the SIEE Version 3, so it supports a very specific range of languages (a bit disappointed as I was expecting the Italian language to be supported).

This arrived at the perfect time and although I don’t think it was as good as the original it was nice to have sequel game that didn’ t just copy the levels from the first one and is still a good game to correctly portray the best spidey to ever be created
It was great I bought it as it was cheaper because of Black Friday I’m really happy except that it took 3 weeks to come to my house but I understand that’s why I reviewed 5 stars
The game play and the story line was great. The issue is that the game is half the length of the first Spiderman. This should have been cheaper as this is NOT spiderman 2, but a mini game
Soooo reviews are mixed on this game but So I brought this for my little one and he absolutely loves it, has way better moves/scenes then the 1st spiderman game, the venom punch is just a cool move to have (I’ve had a little play of it myself and well its quite enjoyable but jheeze my 5 year old knows the game and controls better then me), so overall glad I got the game
If that puts you off, I wouldn’t let it, it is a very good game both visually and aesthetically. It has the same in game ‘engine’ is the same, but it’s a new theme and story, and M.M Spider-Man’s style and theme have really been captured well.
Graphics push towards the ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ with the bright colours and an electric vibe both visually and with abilities that send baddies flying. The soundtrack is one of the best I’ve heard in a game, it’s very well done for honouring Miles Morales’ character. In a nutshell, it’s defo more for the kids this one, but it’s definitely more fun in some ways if you’ve played the first one.
*They changed Peter Parker though…
Not sure why they did that. He looks totally different in this one.
The suit is the same so its canon, but the head model is completely different from the previous.
Yes I felt I had to mention that.
Set after the events of the original Spiderman PS4 Game, the sequel focuses on Miles Morales, the next Spiderman. Peter is away and its up to Miles to deal with new threats to New York
I like how the map was familiar but not an exact copy of the original game. Got a sense of familiarity. Definitely worth playing if you liked the original. I like how Miles has new abilities and how the story goes. A nice enjoyable way to swing your way through NYC
Game itself is fun don’t get me wrong, takes a lot of the mechanics from the original spiderman. If you’re looking for a good story then it does not disappoint. However story itself can be finished within 3-5 hours if done on a speedrun. Does feel like a well written DLC rather than a standalone release. So would recommend the game but maybe wait until the price drops from the standard 50. Would recommend the seller, absolutely no issues with the delivery or packaging of product.
Bought this for my 8 year old son. He completed it within a few hours. He still plays it, says it’s a good game. Think the creators should make these games a little more difficult so I can get my money’s worth lol
Grate spiderman game, however not worth 50. I got this on launch and have played it through multiple times its a good game I can conform but it ads very little on to the first game and when you can get the first game and all its dlc for half the price of this its a hard bargin. The game is also half the length of the first game when 100%ed so I just dont think there is enoughf to warent the price.
So good! Story line was really good and mainly watched my son go through the missions. Looks like they’ve stripped some of the skills etc. to simplify things but doesn’t matter due to Miles powers.
Main story seemed abit too quick in my opinion and hoping the have mission updates but overall fantastic game and style.
Whether you pay full price of 50+ or manage to get it cheaper, it is worth every penny.
My 13 year old son loves it, the graphics is amazing and pic quality is brilliant. My son is totally blown away at how great it is, good story line and great stelf as spiderman has hidden skills. he loves everything about it!!!!
I waited to get this game until I had the PS5, so that I could enjoy it in it’s full glory. I got the pS4 version though so we can still play it on the pro in the other room (it comes with a free ps5 upgrade).
The game is set in the same NY setting, but at Xmas and picks up where ther previous left off. Introducing us to Miles Morales, as Peter takes a vacation and leaves him to be the only Spidey for a while.
The game is great. Swinging is still wonderful and the new electro powers that he has add some fun new dynamics to combat.
Once again there’s a range of abilities, upgrades and cool suits to own.
The one negative is that the game is pretty short really and feels like it was probably aimed originally to be a stand alone expansion. It is however very good.
The character is great, missions fun, side missions great. It’s a great game and looks stunning on PS5. If you get a pS5 it’s a bit of a must have to show off the box really.
Good story and character development for such a short game. Playing as Miles is more fun in my opinion as he as extra powers (venom). The venom is a deal breaker, in terms of using it in combat and travelling
Fantastic follow up to the original spiderman game, like the new added powers that Miles has to make him into his own spiderman. Strong storyline, character development and superb graphics. If your a spiderman fan you don’t wanna miss out on this one
What can I say my loved it. Arrived on time, well packaged but for me was it value for money no but that’s Sony not the seller, think the games are all overpriced, but the kids and gamers love them.
Very enjoyable game! However some bugs seemed to appear in new game+. There was a lot of missing audio which hasn’t happened previously. Hopefully this will be fixed with updates.
This game really is something else! My boy did complete the main game by Boxing Day morning but honestly he had spent hours watching videos on you tube in the run up to getting this game! He’s having loads of fun on it even after completing the main game as there are many things he can still do. Definitely recommend.
This game is awesome. The world/setting, plot, voice acting, and gameplay are all top notch. Loved the diversity and representation in the game, which was not at the expense of the story or anything. It would have been interesting to hear from Peter Parker’s perspective what he thinks when people in Harlem say Miles is “their” Spider-Man, or how they feel Peter let them down if at all, but the writers don’t explore that idea. Maybe next game?
Miles’ powers add a nice element to the game. The stealth missions were fun. Of course, swinging around New York never gets old and the graphics are incredible. People say the game is short, which admittedly it might be compared to monsters like Witcher 3, but you feel “full” and satisfied after playing it.
If I had one bad thing to say about the game is that it does not bring back a lot of your usual Spider-Man enemies or cast members. There were maybe 4 character villains in the game, which I am not going to spoil for you. Only one of them was someone you’d think of off the top of your head when you hear the words “Spider-Man villains”. There’s another famous one that you can fight, in a way, but I won’t go any further on that. Insomniac went all out with the villain usage in the previous game. Maybe they did not want to repeat that experience too much by shoehorning as many villains as possible here. I’m excited for the next game! Until then, I strongly recommend this one if you haven’t played it already.
I ordered this and came a day later (pretty good delivery) I put the disk into my PS4 and it took about 20-30 minutes to install. Now I have finished the game and it was a great squeal to the original game as the story line was pretty great. If you have the money for this game, I recommend buying it as it’s a well built game. That’s all I have to say.
I’m only half way through it so far but it’s brilliant and a lot of fun. I’m playing it on the Pro and a LG Oled and it looks stunning visually, can’t imagine it being better but it actually is on the PS5. If anyone liked the first one, then you’ll be more than satisfied with this game.
Only bit of criticism I can give it is that it’s apparently much shorter, probs only 10-15 hours. But with side missions and collectables, also new game plus, there’s enough things to keep you occupied for quite a while .
*4 and a half out of 5*
Insomniac’s mini-sequel/spin-off to the excellent 2018 Spider-Man. In Spider-Man: Miles Morales you play as the titular hero learning the ropes and responsibilities of being Spider-Man and having to take on a new villain known as the Tinkerer.
With the PS5 not releasing until later this week (19th November) and it being near impossible to get a preorder of one, getting the PS4 version day one was always going to be the option, and when I do eventually enter the next generation this game comes with a free upgrade as well.
Graphically the game is still phenomenal and builds upon the already excellent previous game. The snowy winter time setting, the golden lighting of the sun and Miles’ new dynamic electricity fuelled combat animations all stand out and its clear that Insomniac are teetering on the next generation technology even for the PS4 version.
Gameplay takes the familiar elements from the previous game in terms of stealth, combat and swinging. The latter feeling even more acrobatic and natural, with Miles’ aerobic and charismatic animations as he grows in confidence and taking more risks in the role. In addition to the regular combat fisticuffs, Miles also has bonus ‘Venom’ (not the character your thinking of) powers that can be charged up and cause electrical devastation.
The story is substantially shorter than its predecessor. I beat the main story in around 8 hours (possibly less) and cleared up all the side activities in another 3-4 hours, so really there is a solid amount of content here for a spin off. The story is engaging and has some excellent blockbuster sequences. The personal and family focused edge shines through, as well as Miles having to gain New York’s trust and respect. Aside from the very generic villain Simon Krieger, the other antagonists (Rhino, Tinkerer & Prowler) all are well implemented and have fun boss fights.
As for negatives, the game can be a little choppy at times in terms of frame rate and a lot of the side missions are the usual and repetitive busy work for the minor crimes and hidden caches. However a couple do standout due to the personal investment, such as the sound matching Prowler side story, the Spider-Man training sims and the surprisingly emotional scavenger hunt left by Miles’ father.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a great way to swing into the next generation (even on PS4). Bringing back everything great about the last game in terms of its gameplay, as well as adding and improving on it in some areas. The story whilst shorter is a blast to play through and the game looks fantastic and truly jaw dropping at times. Aside from some repetitive side missions, this is a near perfect smaller side title, that I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Good game, but short. Feels like it’s been rushed out. Story is a lot shorter than the first Spider-Man game. There are some good points though, the combat is a lot more varied with Miles new abilities and the graphics are fantastic if a bit buggy, assume that it will need updates to fix a few issues.
Would expect there to be DLC in future given I’ve 100% the game after a few days.
