I used mine for a shed , thick metal and very solid feel ,very pleased, it is a little fiddly to lock and unlock . I am not sure of lock lifespan when doused in salt on back of a va
Good value for money. Works really well, and is very secure. Would definitely recommend.
After getting broken in to and two bikes stolen, I decided to go all in. As a primary lock for a shed, it probably overkill but after I purchased shorter coach bolts and replaced the washers with square plate washers, this van lock works really well.
I recommend giving it a good oil all round as the rough surface of the bit attached to the door, can bind to the dry circular padlock slightly.
Other than that it’s a great shed (and van) lock.

It’s also heavy, a lot heavier than I expected, I should have read the description better, bought it to secure the back doors of our Sprinter Campervan, it’s easy enough to fit and no doubt will outlast the van..
Lock itself seems very strong and certainly acts as a visual deterrent. Thankfully, haven’t had to test its structural properties
They will bypass the lock and cut a hole in the van. Very strong and strudy
