Kids love them for puppet play. I have large hands and they are a little small for me, best suited to small to medium hands.
As expected with Melissa and Doug products these are great good quality puppets. Ideal for little hands and sure they will be greatly appreciated by grandchildren.
Bought along side a pop up theatre for kid’s !! My grandson loved them!! Quality materials!!
Lovely quality. Very appealing character design and soft to touch – both advantages for little ones. A bit cramped to use for adult operators.. but still recommended.
These puppets were bought for Christmas 2021. Today they are still the most used toys by my grandson and they are still in perfect condition.
One had a hole in but needed as gift so had to stitch it myself. Child likes but quality isn’t as good as it could be.

Great quality and durable hand puppets. My toddler fell in love with “monkey” and he is her favourite lovey now, although we adore the other three too. Wash beautifully. May have to buy another set as toddler has meltdown if monkey goes MIA. Wish these were sold as individual animals.
Smaller than expected but then they’re perfect for children’s hands!
These are lovely little hand puppets and have been great for imaginative play and story telling. The characters are all lovely and very vibrant in their colours. I did have to patch up the dragon after only a few plays so they’re not as durable as I’d hope, but it was an easy fix. Still a lovely set.
The puppets were given as a Christmas present .They looked good, but due to the lockdown I haven’t seen the children playing with them yet.
Lovely puppets. Daughter not shown any interest though. The stuffing in the head is annoying as an adult, but myself and tennage kids found it annoying, but for 3 yr olds hands it helps give them a better appearance I suppose
Bought for my daughters first birthday and she loves them. Me, her dad and our 7 year old daughter play with them together and put on little shows for her. So soft and feel and look well made!
These puppets look good quality in the packaging. Unfortunately untill they are used on Christmas day I can’t say for sure if they are value for money. Certainly just what I was looking for as a present for a toddle
These puppets are cute, not the best quality though. They fit on my wife’s hands (petite woman) but not mine; our baby loves to watch them “performing”.
Really gorgeous puppets, comfortable and easily fit on small handds. Good quality and bright colours. Exactly what you expect from Melissa and Doug. They never disappoint. Ordered arrived promptly also.
My little one loves these hand puppets. They are so cute and can be used for so many activities.
The only negative is probably the fact that they can be a little bit tight on the hands (I have small hands).
Great puppets! My seven month old daughter loves them. I saw some reviews which said they weren’t big enough for adult hands but mine fit just fine and I think I have pretty normal size hands. You cant animate the mouth but for value money they are great.
These for for my friends non verbal autistic son, he uses them to help his put away toys and look at books…. but also he now tries to communicate using the puppets
A bit pricey for what it is, especially when there are cheaper versions out there (some even have pre-written dialogue to help you get starting) but they are soft and pretty, and the little one is pleased, which is all that matters to me.
The animals are cute and well made but way too small for an adult hand to fit comfortably in them. I have rather small hands and can just fit my hand and my husband can’t get his hands in at all. We had hoped to play with them with our six month old baby but they’ll have to wait until she’s old enough to use them herself.
I teach English online and I use these to keep the younger students engaged. They are great fun and good quality.
They are a bit on the small size for my hands but they still serve their purpose.
Brought for my 19 month old. She likes them but still very big for her and she can’t yet put her hands in to control the arms. But a good buy as she likes me playing with them with her and i know she will grow into them. They are well made.
Great for daughter’s puppet theatre. A bit small for adult hands but perfect for a 4-5 year old. Quality could be slightly better a bit flimsy feel to fabric but perfectly adequate for our needs
I’ve seen some great drama since we got the little man these. The love story I saw last night between the night and the maiden was better than Twilight – my adult hand just about fits in them – but he loves it – well made – no stitching issues etc so pretty happy.
I brought these for my niece for her third birthday, as I adore story telling and think it’s great way of capturing children’s attention. Her reaction to them was lovely, she watched them as well as wanting to play with them herself (and of course the Princess was her favourite, mine being the dragon). For an adults hand, you may find them a little cramped, then again perhaps only the kids should be using them. Still, well made and lovely design.
These puppets look fantastic, perhaps a little small for my hands but can still get them in (male adult) but my daughter absolutely loves them and they are a big hit! Well made and very cute, recommended!
But, alas, she loves these puppets as much as her beloved Poundland ones. They have plush faces and simple fabric bodies. I think this is what my daughter likes about them. They are cuddly enough for her to smoosh into her face, yet the bodies are tactile enough for her small hands to grasp and carry around whilst she’s crawling through the house.
When she first opened her birthday gift, she tried to get all four puppets in her hands and crawl out of the room. A week on, they are still her favourite gift from her birthday.
We’ll definitely be buying the other varieties, and – if her loves of puppets continues – I can see us buying the puppet theatre in due course.
These are washable at 30 degrees.
The age range says 2+ but I see no reason why they’re not suitable for younger toddlers. I assume this age range is a recommendation based on when a child might be dexterous enough to actually play with them as puppets. For the time being, though, my child is just content to cuddle them and enjoys watching me play with them as puppets.
Good product but have concern over the small parts used for the eyes. Would not leave young children unsupervised. More a toy for adult to use to entertain the children rather than the child entertaining themselves.
Fun little puppets which are machine washable which is good for use when working with children (couldn’t say if they wash well). They are soft to touch and nice colours. Think they may wear quickly and stuffing in head part doesn’t seem very secure.
All brightly coloured, all soft like teddies, and suitable for tiny and adult hands.
This was purchased for a newborn who has two young siblings and two parents, so the gang of four can now put on a show for the baby. They love them!
