Bought this PSU to ensure my new build gaming PC will have enough juice to handle (ultimately) an RTX 4080 Super. Looks great, feels great, easy to fit and the modular cables mean my case contains only the cables I need for my chosen hardware. A bit pricey, but worth it for the build quality that I’m used to getting with MSI products. So far, so fantastic!

1300W is overkill for sure, however it’s very solid build from expensive components.
Been a little upset to find the price dropped for 80 euros once I just recieved mine. However did not return it. Love this PSU and it’s very great feature to see your usage in MSI Center app. Higly recommend this PSU. Just wait for a good price offer.

Well, what a nice bit of kit, comes well presented in its box and a nice velvet bag of white cables. quality is high and product feels solid and like it will last a long time (if used correctly!).

A nice touch would have been white connectors on the ends of the white cables. especially for an all white PC build but can not complain for that price tag!

Very happy with this purchase and looking forward to putting it through its paces!

MSI FTW on packaging, presentation and quality this time.

Had to buy a new power supply with higher capacity due to a GPU upgrade. This is an excellent choice. The modularity means that I don’t have too many cables in my case and only install the ones I need, you also get a small bag to keep the extra cables if they are needed in the future.
The fan on the supply is very quiet and I like that it also has a quiet mode that can be turned on if preferred. The PCIE5 compatibility and native 16pin connector also makes this supply future proof. I hope that it will serve for a long time.

I originally made the mistake of purchasing a Corsair RM1000e 1000W power supply, as it was the cheapest 1000W one I could find at the time that was ATX 3.0 compliant.

The unit, like many others that have been reviewed, had terrible coil whine along with a noisy fan. This was disappointing, as I have used Corsair PSUs in the past without any issues. I replaced it with this one from MSI a couple of days ago, and was relieved to find that it runs perfectly silent without any issues.

One small gripe I have is that it doesn’t come with an 8-pin PCIE power cable that isn’t daisy changed, but overall I’d definitely recommend this Power Supply to others.

I recently decided to try out an MSI PSU for the first time, and my initial impression was nothing short of impressive. The product exudes quality and is packed with the latest features, including support for PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0 standards. MSI has definitely stepped up their game in the power supply department.

During my setup, I encountered a minor issue with one of the cables. However, my experience took a turn for the better when I reached out to MSI’s customer support team. Their response was lightning-fast, and they went above and beyond to resolve my issue promptly. This level of customer support truly sets MSI apart from the competition.

Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend the MSI brand for power supplies and other PC components. Their commitment to quality and exceptional customer service has won me over, and I’ll definitely be considering MSI products for future builds.

The bundle of cables that come with the power supply are pretty comprehensive and having the native 12vhpwr ATX 3 makes it feel a whole bunch safer to use with an rtx card than the alternative multiple merged pcie connectors of most other power supplies.

Quality seems great, absolutely no complaints at all, can only recommend.

Runs super quiet even when the PC under load, runs a Ryzen 7600 and RC 6800XT machine with no issues. It should be noted that unlike the 850W version, this PSU doesnt have an eco button to allow you to manually switch off the fan, but I dont see this as an issue as the fan is superquiet.

Ignoring the Gold energy efficiency (which has nothing to do with quality or reliability), this unit is one of the better quality, more dependable examples, and should last many years without component issues.

Great source, excellent value for money, very robust and silent, the cables are thick and appear to be of good quality, a great choice for anyone who wants to enter ANTX 3.0 + PCI Ex5, and of course with a 10-year warranty

Way more efficient as it is PCIE5, includes the one cable with no splitter to plug into your GPU to give you a nice clean look, very easy to plug in and plug out, perfect wattage for my build ( Ryzen 9 7900x and 4070 ti)

seen some reviews for this power supply and ended up replacing my old 850w pcie 5.0 for this one just because i could trust msi’s build quality and warranty more than the others. this psu ive installed it very easy btw no issues not really much else to say great quality psu great warranty great size great cables that another the cables are very good there’s sleeved and non sleeved also comes with a kettle lead which my old psu did not very happy with this purchase

I was surprised that this makes absolutely no noise. Amazing power supply especially for the price.

Bought this to power my new graphics card. No complaints. The fan speed can be configured to your liking and the software lets me see my kWh usage which is pretty helpful. Probably overkill power wise but a must if you plan to OC high end components.

I bought this PSU together with a new graphics card. It’s really too much for my current pc but power supplies are a component that can last years and carry over into multiple builds. The modular leads are labelled and it only took me a moment looking at the locking tabs to identify which end went into the PSU. I can’t imagine why they make the 24 pin motherboard and 8 pin cpu connectors modular since they’ll always be required but that’s the way they are. Plenty of cables for anything, including molex (presumably to power fan hubs) and multiple pcie plus an nvidia 12 pin that’ll save using adaptors. Very quiet in operation with a switch to turn off the fan at low loads.

Decent stable power, good quality gfxcard cable for the newer standard. That said, the other cable quality isn’t as stand-out as some other brands. Very competitively priced compared to competition. Works well with my RTX4090 and 5800x3d

I chose this PSU because it was ATX 3.0 and had a 16 pin cable for my RTX 4090. Everything was straight forward with it and the are a wide selection of cables for whatever your set up needs. So far its been rock solid abd I’ve not heard any coil whine with it.

MSI is known for its commitment to quality, and the MPG A750GF is no exception. It is built with high-quality components, ensuring its durability and reliability over extended periods of use. This power supply unit is designed to withstand demanding conditions and provide long-lasting performance.

it’s a 1000Watts that you can make zero noise with. it’s worth a buy yes. I won’t run super mega PC and GPU but it runs my 2060 and I7 just fine! and has some room to upgrade on my rig too. they offer higher watts but I feel right now I only need 1000, was easy to install, everything you needed was in the lovely little bag with cables, and everything was very well packed couldn’t have asked for anything better if 1000 watts is what you need its good for the price! the zero noise button is cool but i will be keeping it on as it really dont make any to no noise anyways 🙂

Is PLUS Gold rating, modular, compact size so can fit in many different size cases, quiet with 0% RPM MODE, plenty of cables included that should fit most people’s needs, nice packaging, long warranty, native 12VHPWR connector so no need for ugly adapter if using latest and greatest Nvidia RTX GPU. I’m packing in my new build an RTX 4090 and i9 13900KF and running benchmarks and gaming there have been no power delivery issues.

Only negative is that the included power cable is too short. About 1/3rd less length than what is standard.

  22. AidenDadswell says:

Very good. Needed a reliable high wattage CPU for my setup (13900KF, RTX4090) and this PSU has carried me through it all without a single hiccup.

Has a 12-pin (12VHPWR) cable that you can plug directly into high end RTX 40 series cards without using the adaptor.

It’s really quiet too, thanks to the silent mode feature, has no burning smell (really big deal for me), and an easy-to-understand modular cable system.

The only downside I can think of is that the cables aren’t sleeved – they’re just regular cables.

Altogether, a solid choice if you want a reliable PSU from a reputable brand for a high-end machine.

Building my first PC and came across this PSU before buying another PSU at the same price but lower power. I’ve added this into my build and I like the quietness of the PSU fan but I find the PSU cables to be a little hard to manage but that’s due to my little expenience building a PC. Am planning on getting an RTX 40 series and hopefully this PSU should power everything perfectly with what I want.

My old power supply died an ax850 from corsair lasted me about 12 years, so had to buy a new psu to fix my PC
saw this MSI was a good price has a lot of new things like PCIE5, which includes a +12VHPWR 600w cable for newer GPUs so, in time for me when I get a new gfx card this will be good.
Using this MSI MPG PSU it is very good it does not make a lot of noise if any at all so thats a plus has a small footprint to fit into a case very Compact for its size aslo the 12 volt rail on this is high so thats good it is a quality unit built by CWT.
The cable connections could be better the mobo atx cable could be made not flat as I had to twist it to get it into point on the mobo.
I say msi should make all the cables not flat as they are very wide and a bit hard to get around things in a case.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersChose this ATX 3.0 PSU as it seemed the best bang for buck at the time, upgrading from an older corsair 550w due to a new GPU. A modern PSU and being 850w should last well into the future. Fully modular so cable management made easy and the cables seem really good quaility. Runs very quiet and efficient, there is a physical button at the back to keep the fan off under low load. It comes with the new 12v power supply needed for 40xx GPU so this was also a plus making cable management tidier and no doubt this will be the standard moving forward. Plenty of cables included in the box and it also comes with a nice branded storage bag to keep them in. The nice thing about a quality PSU is that you can move it into your new builds in the future and with a long 10 year warranty and Japanese capacitors I’m confident this will serve me very well for may years to come. Recommended.

I upgraded my PSU With the MSI A850G and couldn’t be happier. The PSU is whisper quiet, has a 12pin connector for my Graphics Card (also comes with a 12 pin to 2 8 pin adapter cable) and is a nice compact size so fits in an ATX sized case easily. The cables also come in a carry bag which is a nice additional touch and makes things easy to organise. Highly recommended and my PC has been running flawlessly since installing it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was the best value ATX 3.0 PSU I could find for my new RTX 4080 build, without cutting corners on quality. Very pleased with it so far – fit perfectly into my case. Cables are good quality as far as bundled ones go, and I love the cable storage bag that’s included. The 12 VHPWR cable is braided and quite thick, and a little hard to bend/shape – I appreciate the quality, but because you have to be careful not to stress the GPU connector the cable touches the side panel when installed; the 4080 GPU is huge! This doesn’t affect anything beyond aesthetics, but because MSI is a big company it’s easy to find alternative modded cables if you want (be careful to check the pinouts if you do).

It’s very quiet in operation, and I’ve overclocked both my CPU and GPU with no power delivery issues. No complaints at this price point, and it comes from a reputable brand. I toyed with the idea of going with the Corsair RMx series, but for the same price, that one isn’t an ATX 3.0 PSU so I’d have had to use the triple PCIe to 12VHPWR adapter and messed up my minimalist cable management.

So glad I went with MSI on this one, the lengthy warranty and quality build make this easy to recommend, and it paired well with the MSI Z690 MOBO I chose, too. Will definitely be going MSI on my next build!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe power supply works well and is very quiet, the auto fan stop works great and won’t kick in unless I’m really pushing my 3080 and 7900x and even when it does, the bearing design is good with no annoying noises, you will hear other things in your system before you hear this.

Wanted a new PSU that has the new 12VHPWR connector for the future, with the current cashback offer of 20 back that will make this power supply 120, 5 cheaper than corsairs refresh of the RM850E at 125 which also includes the new cable. However the E line from corsair does not use japanese caps, has a shorter 7 year warranty and have seen many complaints of the fan constantly stopping and starting with even low load applied and horrible bearing noise from the fan.

This power supply is more akin to the RM850(x) lineup, with a highly quality caps, made by a good ODM with a solid record and a 10 year warranty, if you can get it right now with the cashback it’s absolutely worth it, at 140 it’s pretty close to corsair’s high end stuff so I may look there instead, just depends on current pricing.

It also includes a 12VHPWR PSU side to 2×8 pin PCIe cable so you can use that for clean cable management instead of running two separate 8 pins if you don’t have a 12VHPWR GPU yet. I fully expect all high end GPU’s to move over to the new standard in the future so I’m happy my power supply is ready for it when I upgrade in a few years.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought the MSI psu to run my new Asus 4070ti . Came well boxed and good packing . I like everything about it , apart from the cheap and tacky ribbon cables . So I am having to purchase some better cables ( sleeved ) MSI really need to do better , after all its not a cheap PSU .
Registering PSU was a nightmare ( PLEASE RIGHT DOWN the CHK CODE .. before installing the psu) as you need it to register and the code is NOT on the packaging .
I am running it as I type and it is whisper quiet ( I have both panels off ) and can barely hear it from 500mm away . Not a lot of room to connect cables into the psu , I have an ITX build and case . The 12VHPWR cable is a single braided affair , just be careful when attaching it and DO NOT put a sharp bend in it ( I will be putting a CABLEMOD connector on at a later date to cable manage and hopefully sort out the heat problem . Cable touches the windowed panel , so I dont have any sharp bends . I hope this short and Honest review is helpful to those that are contemplating purchasing an MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 PSU
