MSI Vigor GK71 Sonic Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (UK Layout
MSI Vigor GK71 Sonic Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (UK Layout) – MSI Sonic Blue Switches (Clicky), Ergonomic ClearCaps, Volume Dial, On-board Profiles, RGB Mystic Light, Wrist Rest, USB 2.0 – Full-Sized
PREMIUM MEMORY FOAM WRIST REST
An ergonomic memory foam wrist rest can be placed near or adjacent to the front of the keyboard for extra support during prolonged gaming sessions or special events.
Both the keyboard & wrist rest bases include rubberized pads to prevent unwanted movement.
X-SHAPED CABLE ROUTING
An X-shaped four-way cable routing design allows keyboard peripheral & peripheral cabling (mouse, headset…etc) to be re-routed under the keyboard (and wrist rest).
This reduces cable entanglement, potential damage for stretching, and helps keep desktops tidy.
3 ONBOARD PROFILES
Settings, Macro keys & lighting effects can be customized through MSI Center and saved directly into the keyboard memory with up to 3 on-board profiles (ideal for LAN events).
These profiles can be cycled on the fly through the FN+F5 keys and are LED colour coded (red, green, blue) as indicated next to the arrow keys.
HYBRID 6+N KEY ROLLOVER
No more signal conflicts or missed key presses under any circumstances. The VIGOR GK71 SONIC automatically detects the number of pressed inputs and switches between 6-key & N-key rollover.

I love the rgb effects on the keyboard they are customisable using the MSI software that you download after purchasing the product. The keys are a little loud but feel great for gaming and working with
I was in dire need of a quality keyboard to keep up with fast paced gaming and I spotted this gem. It arrived hours earlier than expected and works far better than expected. 10/10 would reccomend this one.
I brought this last year due to my keyboard suddenly stopping and not having a big budget. (My pc theme is also MSI)
The keyboard felt a lot smoother then my other keyboards that I have had in the passed. And I’ve had no issues with it.
I only have one complaint on it, when I go to click 3+ buttons at once, only two will work, this can cause a problem however it is something you get use to over time.
I really like this keyboard, and looks nice with my all MSI set up. It’s a smaller keyboard than my last, the Corsair K68. The only negative for me is it not coming with a wrist support, unlike other gaming keyboards. But other than that, it’s really good, and the click is nice. The colour options via the keyboard it’s self is good if you don’t want to open Mystic light to change the settings.
Great product but the font lets it down one star because unless unlike me you are 100% with the uk querty keyboard the font can and will make it hard to see 8 looks like 9 which looks like 6 as theres more but my arsedness levels are dropping significantly so it looks sweet works great but the font is hard fail
I never saw before such a small keys on keyboard very sensetive and even softer touch keyboard already typing so keyboard is nice but this small keys like for kids i don’t like.
This keyboard and mouse is very well built and I quite like the fact that the keyboard has rubber grips on the underside of it too help stop it moving around on the desk the mouse feels quite comfortable to hold the keyboard has lots of features most of which are unnecessary and will hardly ever be used I find this to be an average keyboard and mouse which is no better or worse than other makes on the market only this has a premium brand name and as such comes with a premium price tag
If you want a smaller mechanical keyboard that still has F-Keys, just buy this. Best in the range for its price imo
Proper full mechanical gaming keyboard. Key action is lush, argb works perfectly
he keyboard itself is great just the right size and not taking up loads of room on the desk, keys are nice and click and a slight tactile feel to them and the windows key can be locked on the left side for gaming.
Only downside I can come up with and it’s nothing that’s major is that on custom mode in mystic light the hash key stops lighting up when doing per key lighting and that the keycaps pick up oils from your fingers really easy other than that a really good keyboard for gaming and typing.
After building my PC, my son took a liking to my new keyboard and mouse… I was so impressed with them myself, I bought them again for him… Being Mechanical Membrane means you get the responsiveness of the mech switches, without the loud clicking… The mous is highly responsive and perfect for getting that accuracy needed to win games…
I both for xbox series x. Buttons are small and unconfortable and sometimes gives u an insult but that the best keyboard i ever used. This is something il not gonna change in 10 years from buying right now and maybye have some – but by idea this is what you wanna have on a table.
its small compact and if you work from home and play games like me you kinda eat lunch at your desk. ok well i do! so if i get crumbs they fall out real easy like also the MSI osftware you can customise the keystroke effects . its a great little keyboard for what it is.
Got this to replace my Razor Black Widow v3 as it was causing issues with characters doubling up at random times when typing. Not too bad an issue with words, but caused a lot of problems with figures being wrong in spreadsheets.
This keyboard is great though. The lighting options could be better, but on the whole a much better device.
Standard keycaps so easy to swap out those supplied. The feel is not as good as say browns but you do get some feedback. All in all, a good solution for the five of us who still smoke (mechanicals have a strong aversion to ash!). My only criticism involves the feet at the rear, which are way too low for a good typing position.
The keyboard and mouse itself are fine the rgb works and controls by the mystic light software in the operating system , I purchase this to use with games like Valhalla , Legion, Division. The mystic light works for the leds in the pc case but doesn’t control the mouse and keyboard in game it just seems to turn the lights off during game, as far as I can tell it should also control the keyboard as well.
The padding is extremely comfortable and is more than suited for long hours of work and gameplay. The rubber underside helps ensure that the rest doesn’t move while being used. Only thing missing is snap-in capability with MSI’s keyboards like the GK50 Elite.
This was bought for my grandson, who had an MSI gaming PC for his main present and he was delighted with it. Seems chunky, sturdy and fits in well with the PC’s colour lighting.
The customisations for the lights is great, the sound is nice but mainly the low profile keys and metal plate just look incredibly stylish. It doesn’t scream “look at me I’m a giant virgin” like all other mechanical keyboards.
You can’t hear the key tapping in headphones but outside they still sound nice.
You can’t add O rings to make them quite though so bare that in mind.
I love how easy and user friendly this keyboard is! You can change the colours easily with the MSI Dragon Centre. It clicks (a bit like a mouse) every time you press a key and I personally find it very satisfying, but others may not.
Having never used a mechanical keyboard, and professionally having used low profile chiclet membrane keyboards for years, I was apprensive about making the switch the a mechanical keyboard, both because of the height difference and their noisiness compared to laptop style keyboards.
Happy to report that i’m glad i made the switch. This keyboard isn’t significantly higher profile than your chiiclet style boards, and while it’s significantly louder than a membrane board, it’s not obnoxious like some other mechanical keyboards. I’ve also found that my typing has been improved by the responsive tactile feel of the keys, the feel of the ‘click’ is much more intuitive for typing.
In terms of quality and design, it looks fantastic. The brushed aluminium is clean and gives the board a decent weight whilst not being too heavy, the keys are soft and have an almost velvety texture. The basic lighting functions are good, but the dragon software for customising the lighting is great, and easy to use. The brightness setting aat it’s highest is more than bright enough to type/game in total darkness.
one thing i will note, depending on your PC’s security settings the F1 function to launch afterburner will not work if you have UAC settings at default. Somewhat annoying, but it’s not a huge deal to open the program like you would any other.
Overall, I’m happy i made the switch.
For the price, both the keyboard and the mouse have a solid construction that can hardly be faulted; the KB is weighty and feels as though it contains internal reinforcement to prevent any bending, whereas the mouse is lightweight and therefore great for FPS games.
The function keys on the keyboard provide the ability to control volume and media on the fly, in addition to changing RGB settings without having to use MSI Centre. The same goes for the mouse, in which holding the DPI button with another button allows for quick RGB customisation.
MSI could really improve though with the onboard firmware of both devices, as syncing RGB with other components does not work as well as hoped; whenever the mouse receives new RGB instructions from MSI Centre, it often flickers. The keyboard only allows 8 colour options, when in fact the LEDs themselves seem capable of using any colour one can think of. If MSI send a firmware update out through MSI centre, then this would cease to be an issue.
I was pleasantly surprised with the price of this keyboard, but it is remarkably good. There are not macro keys like you would get on a more expensive keyboard, but then again, my current one cost me 100 more and has macro keys and is not low profile, yet I don’t think it is 100 better.
This keyboard feels well built, keys feel good, very lightweight and fit for purpose.
If I was being incredibly picky, the only thing I would say is I would like the MSI logo to be in the RGB scheme rather than just etched onto the keyboard! But that is me trying to find something wrong with this when there is not really.
Good budget keyboard for gaming but not heavy gaming. Not recommending for writing. Keyboard is extremely noisy. Level of noise is so big that you can hear clicking even wearing headphones. Materials used is high quality. Basklight presets are nice and controlled via Dragon App for MSI. Keyboard is ergonomic enough. Rubber foots doing their job you will not chaise keyboard on your desk.
