Yet to use as have bought this for the city and guilds electrical course in college but have not started the formulas yet. Time will tell but was the best price I could find for it when you include prime delivery.

We bought this on the recommendation of the school for our daughter, as it is approved for GCSE use. It has a good clear display and is constructed to the usual high Casio Calculator standard. It is more complex than your run-of-the-mill basic calculator (+, – +, /) but then it meant to be. At first glance, it looks a little complicated to use, because of the large multi-line LCD screen, but after a few minutes of getting used to it, the larger screen becomes very useful, and it is straightforward to use.

Honestly a must have for secondary school, it has many more features compared to a cheap calculator you can find. It has many cool features that set it aside from other calculators. It has a sleek black colour which also makes it look that much more better, it’s fast too and the buttons are really well made as they aren’t made from rubber. It also has options to change the visibility on the screen from light to darker. Definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI find this difficult to use as frequently used functions require 2 key presses – such as ln, Pi and !. These need the blue shift key to access. The blue lettering is difficult to read against the black background.
I can’t fault the technical accuracy and the range of functions – it’s just that common ones (for me) are hidden. Might be fine up to GCSE but becomes hard with more advanced Maths.
A good point is that the price is quite reasonable but I prefer the predecessor fx-85GT Plus.
