As always, I am extremely happy with my new Noctua fan, they are always quiet, efficient, reliable and the build quality is first class.
Noctua fans definitely fall into the ‘you get what you pay for’ category, a considerable amount of time and effort goes into the research & development behind each iteration.

I was unsure about what fans to buy having just upgraded my Gpu to an Rx6750 which runs a bit hotter than my old one.

Upon installation I was very impressed with how powerful these fans are. I fitted two at front of case as intake and two at top of case for exhaust.

Well worth paying a little bit more fo

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought these for my MSI MAG CORELIQUID P360 AOI cooler as that is a complete garbage of a cooler, do not buy it, ever. After less then a year the fans started to whine and rattle like crazy.
Anyway these fans were meant to replace those and boy oh boy…
    These are fantastically quiet.
I was a bit hesitant to buy these as I was contemplating about getting their brown NF-A lineup, but I just didn’t feel like spending 80 quid for 3 fans.
These will do just as fine to be honest.
Rugged frame, solid blades, smooth engine.
Now I am looking to replace the rest of the fans with these, they are so good.

I recently bought 3 other Noctua Redox fans to replace the front intakes and decided to get 2 of these to replace my exhaust fans. The top of my case has fine mesh that acts as a dust filter, and the rear has the usual metal grid covering the fan.

For this reason I decided on these fans for the exhausts as they are high pressure fans. They are brilliant. Nice and quiet and solidly built. There’s a decent amount of air being forced through the fine mesh on top of the pc. Great stuff. Recommended!

Installed this into a new PC build which was running a little warm under load, The CPU has a fairly substantial heatsink with dual fans but the temperature inside the case was causing it to run up to 80 degrees Celsius, a bit too hot for my liking.
Installing this fan into the top of the case to force the warm air out has dropped the CPU to around 50 degrees on load with only a small increase in noise levels. Overall very happy with the result.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI use my PCs all day, every day for everything from writing reviews to recording music. I also use them for gaming and running a driving / flight sim rig. I find the sound of the fans incredibly distracting, so it’s been a bit of an obsession to find proper, silent fans.

Years ago I discovered Noctua fans, and I haven’t used anything else since then. I’m not sponsored and I buy my fans at full price just like everyone else. I say good things about them because I think they are really good, and because they work, reliably. I have fans in one of my PCs that must be 15 years old, and still work as well as the day I installed them.

Noctua fans are a ‘professional’ product, in that you pay a premium price for a premium product. Noctua’s standard range is beautifully presented, and the fans come with vibration mounts, splitter cables and a bunch of other ‘case candy’, some of which isn’t really needed for every build.

This is where the ‘Redux’ range comes in. Same quality, same performance, different colour and none of the extras – for a lower price.

To be fair, you don’t get any anti-vibration mounts. You don’t really need them if you screw the fans in the conventional way, but they are an important part of the ‘quiet fan’ experience. No problem – if you prefer to use flerxible mounts, Noctua sell them as an optional extra, in a variety of colours.

Wait, what? Colours? Yes. You no longer have to have boring beige and brown fans if you want a quiet PC. OK, there’s no silly RGB on offer, and the new Redux fan colour scheme is an equally boring grey on grey, but it’s neutral and does look classy. You can then add optional vibration mounts and pads in your choice of colours. Or not, if you don’t need them.

I’ll admit, I was sceptical. The standard fans aren’t exactly expensive compared with a gaming GPU, and I have been really happy with the noise level vs cooling quality of the standard Noctua fans for years. I felt no reason to compromise. Until I discovered that the fans I wanted for my latest project were out of stock. I was moving my mATX gaming PC from a ‘cube’ case to a conventional PC tower (reviewed seperately) so I could install a full-sized GPU, and I couldn’t wait indefinitely for the new stock of fans to arrive. I decided it was time to try the Redux range, and ordered a pair of PF12 Redux-1300RPM intake fans and a PF12 Redux-1700 fan for the exhaust.

I needn’t have worried. The Redux fans are excellent. I use the fan tuning software provided with my motherboard, and at idle the PC is totally silent. I can see all three case fans turning through the window in my new case, and that’s the only evidence that they are running. If I manually set all the fans to run at full speed, the sound is definitely noticeable, but not particularly annoying.

Great. It’s quiet. How cool does it keep the case? Very, as it turns out. I ran benchmarks using the ‘standard’ benchmark software, and I was pleased to find that my hardware was performing at the upper end of ‘average’ without any overclocking or excessive cooling. The motherboard temperatures were well under control.

Interestingly, during the benchmark the case fans never got anywhere near their maximum speed. The CPU fan ramped up pretty fast, and the GPU fans went full-hovercraft, but the case fans were easily up to the job. The three fans are shifting more than enough air to keep the inside of the case at the same temperature as the room it’s in, no matter what the PC is doing. And most of the time, they are doing it silently.

These Noctua fans are to replace the original fans of my CPU radiator. They have a greater air flow at 120.2 m/h at 1700 RPM. & I am finding I only need to run them at a max of 70% speed ( when gaming ) to achieve keep the CPU cooled & just 15% speed for all other pc use.
Even at 70 to 85% speed these fans are fairly quiet.

NOW for the delivery of the fans. The driver did not bother to knock on my door or ring the bell. He / she just left the parcel at the back of my house under a table. Very poor delivery tactic.

I bought a pair of these for intake on my PC.

They move a lot of air and are very quiet. I only notice any noise at around 65% speed and even then it’s a low hum.

Good airflow and reasonably quiet, but I really got it in the hope that its as reliable as the two Noctunas on my CPU cooler that are still running without issue after 13 years.

These fans are basically an old noctua design but in grey. Not as quiet as the cream and brown ones but very good airflow and a more appealing colour scheme

One of the fans on my rad started to go and my PC was crashing from overheating, so I got 2 of these to replace the old ones. Really easy to fit and also really quiet and powerful. Not had an issue or crash since. Always go noctua

Bought these to replace the stock fans on my PC after one of them started to fall apart. They are louder then my stock ones (can’t remember what they were) but they are capable of higher RPMs & are PWM compatible.

I have heard the hype around Noctua fans for a long time, but wow these have made a massive difference to my pc.

I was struggling keeping my overclocked CPU cool with the Kraken X53 basic dual NZXT fans and decided to switch out both for these Noctuas, the difference is night and day dropping my average gaming temps from 75-80c down to 55c.. incredible.

They are also surprisingly quiet even when on full RPM.

I bought the fan to the replace the one in my PNY GTX 1660 Super. I was worried the low rpm wouldn’t be good enough but this is much quieter and keeps it cooler (with a much lower rpm). It is a bigger fan but it still surprised me how much of an improvement it is. Atm using Argus Monitor to control fan speed since it’s plugged in to motherboard fan header and link it to GPU temp. Would recommend for low power cards.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI recently bought a cooler with heatsink to replace one that was triggering my motherboard to throw a “CPU Fan Error” message on start up and would refuse to start unless the wire for it was jiggled or re-seated. I installed it a couple weeks later to find that it cooled the system well but the 120mm fan that came with it was making a horrible high pitched whine (as if the fan had been used for years). I didn’t think much of it until I sat in silence with just the computer running and I can honestly say it was like a form of torture.

I bought two of these fans (120mm) with the 4 pin lead to place on both sides of the cooler and they worked perfectly. Now all I hear is a gentle type of wind noise while my computer stays cool. These fans are worth the money and do the job just fine for cooling my Ryzen 5 3600.

My set up is as follows:

Two intake fans on the front of my machine pulling air into the case,
One of these Noctua fans pulling air through the heatsink,
The other taking air away from the heatsink blowing it towards the exhaust fan on the back of the computer.

Monitoring temperatures, my computer idles at around 35 degrees C with some fairly cheap thermal paste and doesn’t go above 60-65 degrees C when playing games such as various simulators.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI bought a Vetroo V5 Air Cooler for my CPU, but due to some carelessness on my part, couldn’t use the RGB fan that came with it. After a fair bit of research I bought the Noctua NF-P12 Redux PWM fan and paired it with the finstack of the Vetroo V5, and I have to say, I’m very impressed with this fan. Outside of gaming, my CPU rarely rises above 40 degrees, and the fan rarely goes to100% usually running at 45% or less. In gaming it sometimes rises above 50 degrees, and the fan ramps to 100% for some of that time. Honestly though, I find I have little to worry about, and so far this fan hasn’t disappointed, and my system hasn’t fallen over, even though there is a mini heatwave where I am!!
In finishing, al I can say is Im very happy and satisfied with this produc

The fan is insanely quiet at 1092RPM (my current setting) and only marginally louder at its full speed of 1700RPM. The temperatures of my GPU and my CPU have gone down. My CPU by about 8 using it at just 1092RPM! The only criticism I have is why they don’t include those tiny anti vibration bits? I know they are trying to keep the cost down but how much exactly are we/they saving by not including them? It’s sort of irrelevant anyway as the fan is so quiet anyway but still I found that a bit weird.

I’m impressed with the build quality and robust feel, it’s extremely quiet, especially at low speed, I have used it to augment the cooling to my graphics card (see picture) and tied it to the same temperature sensor as my graphics card, so when I’m gaming and the cards fans power up the fan I installed powers up relative to the speed/power of the graphics card fans.

I’m not really interested in aesthetics, hence a plain, non-rgb build, as long as it’s tidy inside that’s all that matters, I think pc’s are purley for gaming, not looking at, but each to their own.

The fan seems fine and is clearly made well. It also pushes through more air than I expected. However, it isn’t as quiet as I expected. I think Noctua is a good brand of fan, but you might want to get an even quieter model if you are going to run the fan at 100% speed.

I used this to cool a small form factor NAS (WD mycloud 2 ext). I am running it at 6V and it is quite quiet at this point. Completely sufficient cooling.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersReally really quiet as expected. The brand is well known when it comes to creating top of the range cooling technology. There were other fans I could have purchased that would have done a similar job at a slightly lower price but I know Noctua are well known in the computer world. The only gripe I would have is that the screws provided were meant to be used to also create the grooves in the fan. It wasn’t difficult at all and it didn’t need a lot of extra force while screwing but I would prefer it if the fans came with grooves already made. Other than that, I’m happy with my purchase and the fans do a good job while keeping really quiet.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThe Noctua Redux range is a reduced cost fan range with the only reason that the fans are cheaper being that the accessories normally found with their Chromax, Premium or Industrial range of fans.

That being said the build quality is the same as the other ranges and the Fans are still just as good as the other ranges from Noctua… Just because it is a little cheaper does not make them worse, it is just not the case with these. They are excellent fans that run virtually silent even when at 100%… I have 2x 120mm and 2x 140mm as case fans in a NZXT H210 Red/Black Case.. When the fans are at 100% there is an increase of about 3db total for myself.

It is recommended to pick up some Chromax Anti-Vibration pads to got with the color scheme of your machine, as they will help with vibrations and make the fans look that much better.

Buy Noctua fans with confidence.. to be honest any of their range are excellent.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersThese fans are the cheaper version. It seems that the only real change is the accessories in the box and the mounting.
These installed in my case perfectly and despite the lack of anti vibration mountings they don’t vibrate. That said, I’ve never had a case fan vibrate.
The first thing I noticed was a lack of noise. With the system at idle there is a good amount of air moving through. When gaming the fans move a huge amount of air and yet I can hear them over anything else. In a silent room you can hear the air move but that’s about it.
I’m not sure if these ever got to full speed but they seem so efficient they probably wouldn’t need to. Everything in my case stays much cooler than with these fans than the ones that came with the case.
The colour… it just doesn’t go with a black and red themed case. As this is more personal preference I won’t mark the fan done, it’s just a shame there aren’t more colours (for the price).

Overall I’m really pleased with how these perform and how easily they install.
